2008 Saturn Aura Green Line consumer reviews

We bought the 2008 Aura Hibrid new and have about 1700 miles on it in the first month. The car drives very nicely, is quiet, and the air conditioning is smoothly effective. The overall design is stylish and not overly gaudy. We are getting an overall 27 to 28 miles per gallon and it is informative to tailor your driving to the "instantanious miles per gallon" information available on the instrument panel. The car is a bit sluggish on acceleration but that would greatly increase the fuel consumption. We'd like to see the electric motor assist more readily or with more authority when accelerating. For the price it is a reasonable choice and it is an American built car by GM. Hopefully we have helped a little to get GM back into the competition and that they will continue to improve on this fuel conserving design.
