Great First Car

I bought mine used in 2001 and owned it until 2008. I had very few mechanical issues with the car and it got great gas mileage. Its not particularly attractive or nice inside, but it was great in college and I didn't have to worry about wrecking a "nice" car if I dented or scratched the exterior. Great value.

Saturn SL2

Almost 200,000 miles, repairs have been reasonable nothing major reliability is 5 star, use to run to Montreal, Canada some 360 miles from my home, some long very cold stretches of desolated highway, the car never left me stranded.

Most Efficient Car I have found for my money

I had always wanted a Toyota or Nissan car that would do good on gas but when I got to checking prices I couldn't see that I could save any money. That is when Saturn caught my eye. I ventured out and bought my "97 SL2 and have fallen in love with it. Thanks to Saturn for making a reliable, affordable, economical car.

Good Value

The performance and fuel economy keeps up or above the competition for much less money. My 97 Saturn SL1 has almost 180K miles on it, suffered a bit of abuse from previous drivers, and hasn't given me problems yet. You can toggle between performance and economy mode. I get an avg of 25 city, 32 combined city/hwy. Passengers prone to motion sickness will find the ride to be easy on the stomach.
