Fun suv you drive

Body seems bigger from the outside but roomy and comfortable. Sturdy suv to drive. No major problems that some Saturn s have had with the transmission s.

I love my VUE and its a stick just another +

I love my VUE. It gets great gas mileage because its a 4 cylinder engine but has the comfort of an SUV. I wish it had 3rd row seating.

Great SUV for the money!

This was the 1st Generation Saturn VUE with the 4 cylinder. It can tow a small U-Haul trailer well, and it's gas mileage (average: 26 mpg) was comparable to any 6-cylinder sedan.

Doesn't owe me anything

This truck started it's journey in Pennsylvania and drove cross country to Arizona. It's still on the road with 234K miles. It has had routine maintenance issues over the years. Nothing that hasn't been expected. I just had to purchase a new vehicle for daily use however, I will still be holding on to this one.

Ensure you test everything, I loved mine!

It could use more options but for a 4 cylinder SUV it is a good running car. Maintenance is low and tre space is great to haul almost anything.

It a spacious one but...

It has a lot of room but is not a stable car. AC problems are hard to dianose. I have had 2 recalls on it already. But the room is good. All parts you need are so expensive.

Surprisingly good

I bought a used 2005 Saturn Vue only because the car had 3 things I wanted - Space, Stick shift and Sunroof. From day 1 of ownership in 2013 (4 years and counting) starting at 64000 miles (120000 on the clock today), this car has been nothing but a surprise. I have taken this car to autocross and 3 drag races (yes, a freakin saturn vue to a drag race and it did 16.4 seconds 1/4 mile), I drive this car everyday and I drive it hard and yet this car takes it all well. The Drive - The 2.2 engine is happy to rev, the clutch is light and the long throw gears are very comfortable on the highway. You do have to downshift to pass people however that's the element of the adrenaline rush. The suspension is soft but the body roll is rather controlled so you can be fairly confident while taking a turn. The steering has no feedback and a bit vague but you will get used to it in a day. The visibility is excellent and is a breeze to park. The Interior - full of cheap GM plastics and road noise comes through. This car was not built for luxury or quality, it was built for the masses in a quick and cheap way, so if you are looking for quiet and comfort, pay the price and get an RX350. Every panel on the dash comes out easily if you want to push aftermarket stuff like stereo. The seats are truly comfortable, not supportive like a sports car but soft and comfortable for 8+ hour non-stop long drives. There is plenty of luggage space - I mean truly plenty. The roof is high and doesn't curve down in the back like so-called SUVs of today so you can pile things up all the way. The back seat folds flat and I have fit a 3 seater couch completely in the back of this car. The trunk has a very convenient fold away parcel shelf on the floor for groceries - cannot state how awesome this thought process was, extremely useful. The Exterior - Bland and generic SUV design but with plastic panels on the side so cheap to fix if bumped in parking lots. Overall ownership - The car may look and feel cheap but if you are the sort of person who needs functionality, this is a great used car option. You do have to find one with low miles to keep for a longer period of time. The car is super cheap to insure and maintenance is very easy - you don't even need to jack up the car to change the oil. The oil filter is a cartridge which is right on top of the engine under the hood so oil changes are a 10 minute DIY deal. Parts are cheap and easy to replace because there is just so much space under the hood. This would be an ideal car to carry a lot of stuff or people around and doesn't cost you a lot of money. Plus if you find a good one with the Honda V6 powertrain or the 2.2 4 cylinder with stick shift like I did, it's truly surprisingly reliable and will not leave you stranded on the side of the road. I am very happy I found this car and I will keep it until it dies, and then I will swap the engine and keep it running again.

05 Vue 128K FWD. Do the research

Just bought our first SUV. Probably should have done more research on the little problems. Lots of nitpicky things that need(ed) fixed. Worst is the ignition switch/ key problems. They stick in, won`t come out, worn`t turn, etc. Interior lights are a problem, interior dash, controls, buttons, switches, etc seem to be cheaply made. Sunroof leaks. I bought because it`s the Honda 3.5L motor, which is fantastic.

Wish I could Find another!!!

I purchased my Saturn when I turned 16 with just over 100,000 miles on it! I absolutely loved it! It's reliable had very few problems with it especially for its age! Car is super safe and actually saved my life! Was in an accident where I ended up airborne, hit 5 trees and landed in the bottom of a ravine. I walked away with no injuries other than a couple minor bumps and bruises! I would recommend this car to anybody! especially new drivers!! I was able to fit everything I ever needed to in it and had no worries whenever I was driving! Gas mileage is excellent and car was extremely comfortable. Wish I could find another Saturn like this! Really wish Saturn was still around and making Vues!!!

great reliable vehicle

I have had this car since 2005 and have not had a single problem with it. The interior is leather and the seats are comfortable. The thing is powerful and therefore not the best on gas. Shame they did away with it as it is very reliable.
