Sooo Disappointed with my once favorite car ever!!
I bought my first ever 2006 AWD Saturn Vue with all the bells and whistles with 20,000 miles on it two years ago. I was so in LOVE with this vehicle at first. Before the 36,000 mile warranty ran out I had already had several malfunctions all related to the passenger heated seat. It shorted out and caused the air bag passenger light to go out and a few other weird things. At the time I was noticing a vibration between 2nd & 3rd gear but couldn't get it resolved. Now I have 60,000 miles on it and have had to replace a wheel bearing and my mechanic says the drive train is gone!!! This explains why there was that vibration many miles ago that Saturn couldn't explain. Oh and it also has another unique feature...when it rains the battery drains. I have had to call AAA twice to jump start my car because the battery went dead within 15 minutes of playing the radio in the pouring rain with the engine off. (I have teenagers that play their music while I'm in the store.) If it's raining don't run the radio. I've read the blogs about replacing the drive train, it sounds expensive and they don't hold up so in another 25,000 miles I'll have to replace it again!!! I use to own AWD Dodge Caravan's and had to deal with the transmissions and the body rusting out before the engine did. I thought I had found a perfect replacement...NOT SO

Can't beat this for all around value and looks
Great car. Bought one new and have 45000 miles on it. Haven't had to do anything but regular maint. Price I paid for a 2006 was $3,000 more than the price after 4 years and 45K miles. Not bad. Doors are ding resistant and look same as the day I bought it - no fading, no dents. I got the heated seats and am very glad - it was less than $200 and I've used that feature from Nov to April each year. I get 30mpg on the road and 22 in town regularly. This vehicle has done everything I have asked it to do. I regret that they no longer make the model or the brand.

Disappointing view on the Vue
Front and rear seats are uncomfortable, mpg is not great, interior does not hold up to normal wear and tear, difficult to regulate interior temperature to feel comfortable thoughout cabin.

'06 Saturn Vue is for me
When I could no longer get a decent sized station wagon to haul my junk around (my last one was a '92 Volvo), I decided it was SUV time for me. I looked around and picked the VUE because it was the easiest to get in and out of. Also, my wife had Saturns and was happy. I love the options: sunroof, side airbags, leather heated power seats, and on and on. I drove the car 48,000 miles in 3 years. It functioned beautifuly, although it did have one repair after warranty. I was hit nearly head-on by a drunk driver in a big pickup and the car was totaled. I had no injuries, the side airbags worked perfectly. I'm now shopping for exactly the same vehicle. I don't want a newer one ('08 or later) because they are all metal. The plastic kept looking great here in Minnesota!

As usual, Saturn comes through
This is my second Saturn. I purchased my first one in 1992 and loved it. Now I have just purchased the VUE and I really love this car, too. It handles extremely well, and the AWD really comes through when needed. I live in the mountains near Lake George, NY and this car really handles the snow and ice well. The gas mileage is great and the interior is beautiful. All in all, a great car for a great price. I would definitely recommend this car.

best looking piece of junk I have ever owned
This was my 2nd vue. First was lemmoned back to the dealer. was hoping this one would be different. I was wrong. 3 steering column repairs, a suspension that sounds like a creaking bed, and less than stated fuel economy has steered this one time saturn enthusiast to another make all together. Considering buying one...good luck...you'll need it

Price is worth it
I turned in my last Saturn SL for my current Saturn VUE Red Line...I couldn't be happier. Though I thought the price was a little high at first for a Saturn, I shortly discovered that it was a wise choice!!=-)

For what it is, it's good enough
2006 FWD 4 cyl. the Handling really is the worst for a new car. It's jerky and constantly correcting. And if I could sell it back to Saturn, I would.

A real screamer!
All I can say is WOW!!! Quality is great as well as the fit and finish. Complete leather seats not just inserts. Nothing compares to the Honda 3.5 liter powerplant with variable timing and 4 valves per cylinder. Serious zero to sixty performance at 7.5 seconds. Handles like a top-heavy SUV in cornering but straight-line it is unbeatable by many "sports cars". A comfortable and fun driver that is practiclal as well. I held my own accelerating next to a "pesky" Lexus 400 trying to pass on the right going from 50 to almost 100 mph before he edged out in front. It brought looks of confusion from both the offending driver and his passenger...and HUGE smiles from me.... William in CT
