Has more room than I imagined on the inside It's very comfortable to drive and the gas per mile is phenomenal

I brought the smart car for two weeks and it is already in for repair. The car is under warranties therefore I don't have to pay anything. However, it would be over a thousand dollar if it was not under warranties . Very unreliable car. In addition this car has a very bad transmission . It jerk a lot . As I was accelerating I notice that it jerk once at 15 mph and again at 20 and again at around 30 mph. In addition all part of the smart car are expensive and hard to find in a auto store such as pep boys , advance auto parts, or auto zone . The car is also very uncomfortable. The seat is too hard . I sat on the leather seat for about 3 hours as I was driving and my bottom start to feel the pain . The rear view mirror is very lose. When you change it from day to night mirror it will start to move out of position. Very poor quality mirror and expensive . In addition to this poor quality Mercedes Benz have the metal button that is used to attached the rear view mirror specially made ( proprietary equipment ) therefore the mirror can not be change unless you change the metal button. This metal button is glue very tightly to to wind shield. Overall speaking the smart is very poorly design, very unreliable , very expensive to maintain, and very uncomfortable to ride in . In addition, all the the outer panels are plastic except the little steel cage that they have been advertising all the time . Which is really a advertisement scheme because almost all cars are enclosed in steel outside, and not only that steel cage that the smart has been advertising. Honestly speaking I think the smart car is over priced and under performed in many categories such as reliability , comfort and styling. This car is not very well design at all both interior and exterior . Very bad for the money. This car was purchased with only 70 miles on it and when it is 170 miles It break down already .

Fun, well built, surprisingly comfortable. Great second car for around town use, and/or as an RV tow car. Standard safety features are impressive.

worst car I've ever owned... finally dumped it after thousands in repair bills from Mercedes Benz. i tried and tried to make the relationship work but it was just too one sided. i was a smart fan... originally loved the style and concept but it was just not worth the money or aggravation.

I saw them, I investigated, " holy cow a brand new car even I can afford and it's made by Mercedes!" Lets face it they have a great well earned reputation. It handles fantastic n feels big on the inside. It gets fantastic mileage. I love it! I've already been recommending it to all my co- workers, friends and family. I'm smart and so is my car. :). I never dreamed I would be able to get such a great car AND new!
