Worst lemon I ever owned!!
Speedo don't work; oil leak on exhaust = smoke. Regularly fails once a year. Each fix = $1,000.00 plus. Speedo- Pull the engine & take the tranny apart to get to a $5 gear! Gas hog. Stalls at stop lights. It's a hot rod...when it works...

26 Years Young, 277k Miles, And Stll Going Strong
I've been driving this car from 1995 to 2017, so it has a significant place in my life, like an old friend, like a member of my family. She's been reliable - always starts up, drives smoothly and safely, never overheated and only broke down once at 90k for a transmission problem. Garage kept, she's still looking good too! Cheap on gas, and maintenance has been easy on my wallet too. The DX model with the 4 cylinder engine just wants to run and run and run. Simply, one of those great Japanese cars that will go forever if they're kept well.

The best high mileage car I ever owned
I bought this car new in 1990 and it had 5 miles on it. I put over 160k miles on it. The only thing other than regular maintenance was a radiator and cv axles I had it for 6 years before someone hit me in the rear and put me in the hospital. I can say the car saved my life as it had automatic seat belts as some time I would not wear my seat belts in my other cars . I now own a scion xa I got in 2005 and have 150k miles on it.

255K and going strong
I really Love this car. through all the he@# I put it through, it's still standing and working. I can't believe it. no major problems. acceleration is a lil sluggish at 250K but that is expected. bought this car when I started college at 100K, I'm now about to graduate Medical school driving the same car. will be sad to part with it when I graduate. built tough. nothing better.

Everything is easy to get to and work on. I have people all the time ask if they could buy my car. If you keep up the maintenance it will last forever. Great gas mileage.

Will run forever it seems
bought this car new in 91' and although it is 20 years old and "tired" it still provides reliable home to work transportation. I have decided to donate it to Volunteers of America. I certainly have gotten my money's worth but the sad thing is I now worry abourt the quality of the late model Toyotas or I would buy another one.

Best they ever built
91 camry deluxe with 242k on it and it's still running with 383k. 4 cylinder stick shift. Just normal wear and tear maintenance. That is reliability in my book. Toyota will never beat the 2nd generation camry for overall reliability.

Over 220,000 Miles
I bought this model used at over 180,000 miles. With some repairs to pass inspection it has taken me 2 years reliably to 221,000 miles at 30 MPG average. Transit to work and back is 30 miles at 60 - 70 MPH.
