2023 Toyota Crown Platinum

I purchased this vehicle sight unseen through Keith at Brookdale Toyota here in MinneSnowta. Considering my last two cars were new Camaroโ€™s, this Toyota Crown Platinum has been an experience! The only major glitch I ran into with this vehicle within the first 5k miles was having Toyota replace the entire transmission and computer at a total cost of $20,000 + 15 hours labor, all covered by the factory warranty. In addition, my wheels were damaged at Burnsville Toyota during my cars first 5000 mile service. I was taken back when the service manager, Mike Poulin, offered to swap them out with a new vehicle when it arrived (with the current supply chain shortage, perhaps 1 to 2 years?) And then they would sell a new vehicle with used wheels? You have to wonder how many other part swaps they have done with their new inventoryโ€ฆ๐Ÿ‘€ I would not recommend Burnsville Toyota to anyone for service or sales!๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž๐Ÿ‘Ž I had my insurance company provide me with new wheels through Maplewood Toyota. The Crown just turned 12,000 miles and I am enjoying every mile with it!โค๏ธ

Oh what a feeling!

Best car I have ever owned. It has it allโ€ฆ.sporty looks, great gas mileage, awesome technology, AWD, and the dependability of a Toyota! This car just makes you feel good (and safe) when you drive it. I have a feeling I will be loving this car for many years to come.

Toyota has Another Winner

Looks of a sports car with MPG of a Yugo. Handles excellent with a comfortable, quiet ride. Enough gadgets and thoughtful appointments to satisfy you; very well thought out interior. Upgraded JBL stereo system is a joy to listen to. I find myself not wanting to get out of the car, itโ€™s that good.

Poor Customer Support

Extremely disappointed that my car only came with one key FOEB with an open ended promise to provide the second key FOEB sometime in the future (first quarter of 2024). New cars currently being sold today however come with 2 key FOEB's. Toyota failed to provide the exceptional customer service that I have relied on for the last 2 Camry's that I have purchased. This will be my LAST Toyota vehicle.

New but is it improved?

The car is very comfortable to drive, very quiet interior, good sound system. The interior is cheap looking, particularly the contrasting color on the dashboard and doors. The interface with CarPlay is not good at all and poses a distinct safety issue when driving. Setting the memory for the seats requires a degree in engineering. Gas mileage is good, not as good as advertised but still good.

Toyota outdid themselves with the Crown

I purchased the Toyota Crown Limited 1 month ago. Coming from a traditional internal combustion engine that guzzled gas, I definitely love how efficient the crown is. Itโ€™s rated at 41/42, but Iโ€™m consistently getting 45-52mpg in eco mode. The exterior styling is bold and eye catching. Also, coming from an SUV, I really appreciate the higher ride height of the crown. Additionally, the interior is beautiful and the seats are very comfortable. They have heated and ventilated seats which is a major plus for me. The crown is also very intelligent. The full speed range dynamic radar cruise control with lane tracing essentially drive the car for you. It brakes, speeds up, steers the car within its lane, and can take over the monotony of stop and go traffic. If for some reason you become inattentive, distracted, or incapacitated with the radar cruise control on, the car will safely bring itself to a stop and turn on your hazard lights. It also come standard with blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, lane departure warning with correction, and proactive driving assist which provides gentle braking into curves or gentle braking and/or steering to help support driving tasks. It also has front and rear parking sensors with rear brake assist to prevent you from backing into something. It also comes standard with a pre-collision system with pedestrian detection. And lastly, it comes with automatic high beams, road sign assist, intermittent variable wipers, rain sensing wipers, power folding mirrors, and a very clear back up camera. Wireless Apple CarPlay and android auto come standard as well as 4 usb-c charging ports and a wireless charging slot for your phone. The crown also has the updated pair of 12.3 inch screens which are beautiful. To conclude this lengthy review, the crown is well worth the price. It drives spectacularly (very smooth and responsive), has very intelligent safety features, has an especially comfortable interior, has a beautifully and boldly styled exterior, and is very fuel efficient. If youโ€™re on the fence like I was, go test drive one. Itโ€™ll immediately change your mind!

Comfortable car with good mileage

We have had the Crown XLE model for a few weeks. It looks great and is very comfortable in both the front and back seats. Mileage is good. 41/42 is advertised. We have been clocking upto 47.5 in eco mode with careful driving. In sports mode, the mileage drops below 40. Think of it as a bigger, comfy and refined Prius. The car feels very stable and balanced to drive. The hybrid powertrain feels very different from a regular gas car and takes a few days to get to. The engine has a growling and rumbling feel rather than a smooth purring sound. Performance is ok. If the engine feel was better I'd rate it 5/5. The wireless android auto is very good. You need to follow the instructions and connect properly. The "lane tracing" is very good - better than we expected.
