Feels, drives like bigger vehicle w/ better mpgs

Never thought I'd buy a Prius until I saw and test drove the V model. Wow... A great comfortable ride and very quiet at highway speeds. My gas mileage in town with lots of hills in my area is still 45 mpg. Love the versitility and cargo space. In spite of some reviews that say otherwise, I've found acceleration to be adequate. It's no sports car but if that is what you want, don't get a hybrid. Can't wait to take a long trip with this vehicle. Love the looks of it also.

Great gas mileage and lots of elbow room

I really love my Prius V. It took me and two dogs across the country and back with a roof bag on top. It is great on gas mileage and my interior is a beautiful leather. My only complaint is the safety is not as great as other vehicles and I am looking for something now that I live in the country, where I can do some light towing.

Great mid-sized family car.

We had to replace our Ford Flex after it was totaled in an accident. We only had a few days left with the rental, so we were scrambling around trying to find a good reliable car in our price range. We test drive at least six or seven different models and kept coming back to the Prius V. It is definitely not a fast car, but the gas mileage is amazing - I average 40 mpg in eco mode while my husband is generally around 34 mpg in power mode. It is comfortable and the trunk is a good size, much larger than the original Prius (which we also owned in the past). We have already taken a road trip and the family was very comfortable and had plenty of room. All and all it is a great car and we are happy with it.

Perfect car for my needs!

The Prius V is an excellent car and a very good value overall. I use it daily for my work, I can carry a lot of stuff, and it has been great for road trips. Not super fancy but has served my needs fully. 140K miles in 5 years and still going strong!

Best choice in hybrids!

The purchase of a Prius V has turned to be the best decision in automotive purchases over the years. Dealer ship experience was first rate. The Prius requires very little maintenance. Fuel economy has been outstanding. My cost of ownership has been the best of any vehicle I owned to date.

Love this car!!

This car is the best car we've ever owned. We travel an extreme amount of miles for our kids hockey and needed a dependable vehicle that got great gas mileage. This Prius is our 2nd one and will continue to buy them as long as they make them!

Reliable and versatile, some quirks

Drivers legroom is a little tight. I'm 6-2 and could use another half inch. Winter mileage 34mpg in MN, 45 summer. Very loud when accelerating onto freeway. Navigation by voice is nearly impossible:rarely recognizes my requests. Reasonably quiet at speed. comfortable seats, reasonably roomy rear seats. Have to remove rear headrests to lay rear seats down. Really needs 2 rear wipers: one doesn't clear enough. Poor side visibility due to small rearmost side and back windows. Wish it had larger or better sideview mirrors to help with blind spots. Great Toyota reliability. Good in winter. Low insurance cost.
