does everything well

I purchased a Tacoma double cab. It has plenty of room for me at 6' 0" and 250 pounds. It easily hauls the two of us and a couple of grandkids. It is big enough, yet small enough to park easily. It is economical enough for a drive to work vehicle. It has done all I needed it to do, and done it well. To a point, it is what I hoped it would be.

Great styling / Poor Design

Downsized from full size truck - big mistake. Am just over 6 feet tall & could never get comfortable. Seat seemed to be a foot off floorboard. No interior storage except for very small containers under rear seat in doublecab. Hard to see out of - expanded blind spots. Was difficult to get in & out while doing chores. Seems for suited for those who really like compact cars but want to take lawn mower to shop, etc. Not worth the premium $$$! Had difficult time selling even with significant reduced price. Looks great though?

Toyoyta Tacoma 2x cab 2010

I believe that the Toyota Tacoma 2010 is the best mid size truck in the market for it's over-all value.

Nice truck for off road

Had a 1996 Tacoma 4x4 with 180,000 miles, framed rusted and cracked. I got a $6,200 buy back from Toyota and brought a 2010 base 4x4 manual. Runs smooth, a pleasure to drive. I get 24mpg on the hwy with no ac driving at 55mph. Sometimes shifter does not want to go in reverse, love the composite bed. Bench seat is much better than my old truck, but will soon look for more comfy bucket seats to replace it. I drive off road for work a lot, need to replace the stock tires with the 31x10.5 General AT2's. My old front tow hook bolted on no problem, but nowhere to mount a rear hook. Don't like the chintzy plastic knob to engage 4 wheel drive, would rather have manual locking hubs and a shifter for 4 wheeling. Built well, but I think the older one where built better, better looking plastic and knobs. AC works great.

TOYOTA 4X4 AUTO LONG BED (2010) OWNER

Well I finally found one (2010) 4x4 4 door long bed TRD sport package, tow package. step bars with lights & turn signal mirrors, (metallic gray) with black leather interior. I really did not want the step bars with the lights and the turn signal light mirrors (they added another $1000 to the bottom line) but what can you do when you have been looking for 5 months for this certain truck. it would have been a lot easier to find if I had not held out for the long bed, they just don't make many 4x4 long bed. Now about the truck GREAT, flew 400 miles to pick it up & the drive back was a wonderful driving time, kept my speed down on the way back & got 20.5 on the way back. I have now owned it 58 days & could not be happier. Payed to much but I got tired of looking & getting what you want is worth something. HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY (I'm 69 years old & have owned 9 Toyota cars & trucks) GOOD LUCK WITH YOURS!!!

over rated

Very disappointed with performance, comfort and overall styling. Expected more only to get less. Some magazines rate this #1 I suspect they are getting a kick back from Toyota.

Toyota Tacoma Regular Bed

Great little truck for basic needs. Since it's only a 4 banger, it's sometimes a little under powered, but for island driving its perfect and its fun. This is my 3rd Toyota Tacoma and I'm not disappointed at all.

Outragously versatile truck

I have owned a Ford Ranger and a GMC Sierra and neither truck came close to the quality or overall character of the Tacoma. This is the best vehicle I have ever owned. If you know Maine roads then you know the challenges of daily travel, especially in the winter months. This truck is unstoppable.

glad to be back

I purchased a new 2010 access cab less than a month ago. I am so happy with myt ruck ! Several years back, I had a 94 Toyota truck and I decided to go bigger. After looking for love in all the wrong places, I finally came to my senses and went back to Toyota. Yes, I realize that it does not have all the fancy mambo-yambo the American trucks have, than again I can be sure that the check engine light will not come on at 34k miles. By the way, I went through five trucks and the 94 that I sold to a good friend is still running with 278,000 miles on it. All he has ever done to it is change plugs, change the oil using Mobil1 and keep the injectors clean. Everything still works on the truck, up to now he has not changed the timing gear. Try that on a fancy American truck.....
