Great little truck.

Awesome value for your money. I couldnt afford a full size truck so i settled with the tacoma. Still has everything you would need from a vehicle with 4wd. Great ride and plenty of room on the inside. Also has a an inverter built in for camping to regulate wattage for whatever you are using.

The perfect-sized pickup

Tacomas speak for themselves. Toyota reliability, top resale value and excellent performance. Admittedly coming from a V8 SUV, the tacoma atkinson cycle transmission took a bit getting used to but can't complain about the gas milage. I chose the double cab long bed trd off-road 4x4 and it seems to perform as well on the highway as it does on the trail.

the perfect do-everything truck

Bigger trucks drove me, whereas, I feel like I'm driving this truck. The manual shift option is a bonus that I was not expecting and will come in handing when towing. I will no longer get stuck at home when everything freezes up. would love to see this truck in a diesel version soon, but getting a solid 22 mpg overall.

Great truck. Awesome drive!

The Toyota Tacoma has always been a favorite of mine. I owned it's predecessor an '87 Toyota Pickup. They have always been known for being reliable vehicles while retaining their value for years. The new ones drive very nicely. Love to own one some day.

On honeymoon period with my new truck

So far...i'm in love. I sold my full size Dodge diesel that i only drove on the weekends because of the size and gas mileage, for this small V6 Japanese truck. Wow! First impressions are excellent. I love the comfort and features of the truck. I got the Limited so, all the bells and whistles. I'll update as time goes by.

Happy with my 2017 Tacoma purchase

I though I would write a review as the truck now has 1800 miles on it. Being back in the truck game I immediately jumped on the Tacoma as a must see. At first look I checked out the TRD line which was out of my price range. I opted out for a v6 as the 4cyl was very under powered an had less fuel economy. I wanted a 4x4 to go offroad on occasion as well as the need during snow storms in the north east. I also wanted a long bed which was available in both the access cab and double cab models, although the former couldn't be found anywhere and needed to be ordered. In end I settled with a Black access cab SR5 V6 4x4 with the towing package as well as the appearance package. Overall, I am pleased with the truck. Very refined for a midsized pickup, aggressive looks and a lot of amenities that I didn't expect when pricing it out. The truck has lots of power for its size and weight. It will please you if you're stuck behind the pesky 55mph guy in the left lane. The infotainment system is stellar and usable but takes a bit of time to learn. I will say it is lightyears ahead of the Ford Sync system although. Comfort is stellar as well. I am not sure why people dislike the cab seating although it is a bit annoying to get in if you don't have running boards. I am 5'9" and I fit well. All of the dash controls are within reach yet the circular selector for the 4x4 modes is located directly next to the climate control fan speed. Countless times I have put the truck in 4WH when attempting to turning up fan speed. The turning radius is great for this size truck and will turn in a dime. In the trails, I found that it was a great performer even with the stock 245/75-16 Firestone Destination's with factory tire pressure. I will mention I haven't put it through its paces and really wish the standard tire was a bit bigger and more meaty. On the highway, it cruises along with no surprises . Its comfortable and reactive as well as predicable to an extent. Which comes to my only "Con." The darn transmission loves to shift.! Usually with an automatic you can get the feel of and anticipate the shift points after a couple of hundred miles. 1800 miles into it, I am still scratching my head a time. I am sure it has to do with the fuel economy and if left in ETC mode, it is much more predictable. In ending, while driving this truck, I find myself connected to it, comfortable in it and please with the comfort. I am also excited to drive it every day! The only downside is the lack of connection with the transmission.

Nicest truck I've ever driven.

Surprisingly robust small truck, it fills every requirement. No details have been overlooked. Fine for work and pleasure--and it looks great in the driveway! For a tall guy, seating is ample, and, there is plenty of inside room for passengers. The bed is a convenient size and requires no liner. Overall, the finish work away above what usually is found this price range.

From a daily driver to an off-road machine

The 2017 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro is not only a good-looking truck but is also very capable on and off road. As a daily driver, it is extremely comfortable and also very eye-catching. The only negative I would have about the TRD pro is that the engine could be better tuned in order to provide more power. The stock vehicle comes with the TRD pro exhaust but there is nothing done with the air intake and to add a larger intake is about $400. While that doesn't buy you much as far as horse power, it does provide a minor improvement and I would think that at a minimum this would be included with the TRD pro.
