2018 Toyota Tacoma consumer reviews

Overall it has all the whistles and bells. I would rate the truck with 4 stars. I purchase Tacoma's specifically for reliability and resale value which is outstanding. Have only 2 issues with the 2018. Transmission can never decide what gear it wants to be in and that usually takes place on the highway. When getting on a highway or passing or keeping up with traffic flow the rpm's wind out at 3-3.5 and hang there until I hit the gas pedal again or start to slow down. A bit annoying as well as the pre-collision crash sensor emblem on the front that turns itself off when its either misting or gets slush/snow splashed on it. That is kinda when you need. The Dealer has no answers for either at this time.

It’s a six forward gear manual. It is bright orange. It has a sunroof. All those find new things that they put on cars so that it would be almost impossible for me to run over somebody or to run into somebody else’s car. The salesman kept telling me as you get older you don’t have the same reflexes, I’m a 78 -year-old Woman without the same reflexes I had when I was 16. I just had cataract surgery and was able to drive at night for the first time in three years. Plus I have things to take to the dump.

I have had the truck in twice for the transmission feeling like it comes out of gear on the highway. It slams upon exiting the highway also. The truck was bought new and has 5,600 but the transmission is junk

This is my first truck. I was been looking around quite a bit of time, tested a few different brand name and finally bought this Tacoma.

We love it! This is by far the most comfortable truck that we have owned. Toyota's new safety features are what convinced us to purchase a new 2018 Tacoma. Another additional benefit is the resale value.

I live in a rural area and finally got tired of wrangling my garbage cans in the back seat of my Volvo wagon for my monthly trip to the dump. I had the wagon 15 years and it was still good but I decided with no kids I no longer needed a station wagon I needed a truck. I love it. It is practical, has great resale value if or when I tire of it, my friends say I look "badass" in it and if I decide I want to run away, I can hitch an airstream Nest to it and take off. What's not to like?

Tacoma is very sharp looking truck. It has a very smooth ride and four prople sit comfortable. The wireless charger for Iphone is awesome feature for the truck.

I wasn't expecting to buy only to meet the online direct sales person and see what they had in stock of the remaining last year's models. They gave me decent $$$ for a trade in and although I didn't get the color I really wanted they gave me a great deal on the cilajet sealant (helps protect paint & surfaces recommended by car collectors like Jay Leno and Jerry Seinfeld). I wish the computer would provide fuel MPG info like Honda & other vehicles do. Otherwise, its way cool to own a brand new Tacoma.

The Tacoma is a very sharp looking truck with all the modern conveniences. I expect to be driving that truck for many years. It's very stress free.
