Very reliable.

Surprisingly since the first day I bought it I have received numerous compliments on its cute sporty looks. I have the SE sport model so the wheels are flashy and the seats are especially great for lateral support. Very pleased with this car. Oh yes must mention how easy it is to get in and out because of the higher food line. It?s great in the city and super at high speeds on the highway.

I decided to buy new instead.

Felt bad for the salesman who was forced to show it to me. The car had not been cleaned and it smelled like wet dog.

Love my new ride

Purchased a 2012 Toyota Yaris after a collision where my 2001 Toyota Echo was wrote off. The Echo was a very reliable, fuel efficient vechicle, and I'm finding the Yaris to be the same. The Yaris is more comfortable and less noisy with more comforts. Not disappointed in a Toyota product again.

Bad design and dangerous in snow

My biggest issue is the front window post is diagonal in a way prevent you from seeing close people crossing the street or coming cars from both side. Also I think because of it's light weight it slips easily at stop signs even in very low speed.

Terrible: Engine has ringing noise no fix

Car engine emits a ringing noise at speeds over 90km/hr. This ringing sounds like hearing damage ringing in your ears (Tinnitus). After long highway drives it leaves my ears ringing. I recorded the sound and it exists. Toyota confirmed that they could hear and they confirmed another 2012 Yaris Auto exhibited what they call the same condition. No fix and no refund as Toyota say the condition is normal for the Yaris engine. Very sad and disappointed with this Car and Toyota after such a good run in my older 2006 yaris. Will be selling car asap and moving on from Toyota as very yuck to drive on the highway.
