Most fun to drive
In over 50 something years of driving, owned a lot of cars, bikes, but the Spitfire floats to the top in the most fun to drive department. I just love the simplicity of design, easy to work on. Needed a new clutch, let the pros do it for 500 bux. Modern tranny around 2400 for repair. Parts are cheap and readily available on line. At 70 yrs old, I intend to relive my 20s when I owned a MKIII in Europe. Insurance lady asked if I had anti theft device, told her why yes, I have a stick shift ?
