Continually excited to drive my car!!

My Passat GT only had one missing feature, and that was a standard transmission. Otherwise, it is responsive, continually excites me to drive, and wraps around me so well. Great value for the money!!

Dream car Passat

I drove this car 600 miles, it was marvelous on gas, drove ultra smooth and handled beautifully! What an awesome ride! Everything about its performance was wonderful, it effortlessly glides when you speed up and you feel like your floating.

2018 Passat GT - Amazing value and performance

The 2018 Passat GT is a special edition released in 2nd Quarter 2018 to fill a gap between the Passat SE and the Passat SEL with the VR-6 3.6 liter engine and DSG transmission previously available only in the SEL in the V6/DSG model (about $35,500). Whilst the 2018 Passat GT is not a VW GTI high-performance vehicle, it is definitely better handling, has really good acceleration, and looks really sharp. VW has offered the R-Line trim level which is basically a sporty trim on a Passat S with a few options thrown in. In contrast, the Passat GT delivers on the engine and transmission along with the wheels, suspension, and tuned exhaust to go with it. On top of that, it comes with an R-Line exterior trim and some of the Passat SE with Technology technology items-- the core items from the SE with Technology trim level to be more specific. This is a great mix for getting the VR-6 engine and a DSG with better wheels, suspension, and exhaust appropriate to that engine/transmission pair without having to buy the premium SEL to get them or sacrificing all the technology items from the SE with Technology trim and at about $5,500 less than the SEL. For me, the GT's performance level for a mid-sized sedan that comfortably seats four adults is exactly what I wanted. Better than the SE or SE with Technology but not a full-blown GTI with the harshness that a GTI requires. What a great concept. Thanks go to the Kentucky plant management and engineering staff for putting the Passat GT together!

Leased 15 yrs ago- leased again and just as happy

Just leased a Passat SE after driving a SUV for the past 15 years. Thought it wb too small/low for me but I WAS WRONG. It was just as fun to drive as I remembered. Don?t get me wrong, the style is upgraded since I drove one before the SUV. But the smooth drive, luxurious but tasteful interior and ?solidness? of the car itself is what sold me. I have no regrets- it is powerful enough and gets good gas mileage for the needs. And much nicer than an Accord, which many recommended to me over the Passat. I will admit it looks like an Accord, but does not feel like it at all. Guess I am just a VW kind of person.

Check Out This Sleeper Sedan

The VW Passat is undoubtedly one of the best values on the market today. Not exactly on the cutting edge of style, but its understated elegance provides a welcome relief from its garish Japanese rivals (you know what I'm talkin' about). The interior materials, controls and infotainment center are well thought-out, intuitive and give the impression of a premium automobile. I love the Android Auto that comes standard and wouldn't consider the purchase of another car without this useful feature. The back seat is absolutely cavernous, and it has its own A/C vent and USB port. Despite having only a smallish 4-cylinder engine, the turbo provides it with more than ample real-world get-up-and-go power for both city and interstate driving. I've only had it a short while, so I can't attest to it's long-term reliability. But my initial experience with this car has been totally impressive.
