2018 Volkswagen Tiguan consumer reviews

For the past 5 years, I?ve driven a VW; First a Jetta, then a Passat. I just bought a 2018 Tiguan, and I am so pleased with my purchase. Being a new mom, I needed a bigger car, and the Tiguan is the perfect fit for me. Not only is It spacious and reliable, but the new model is beautiful. The ride is always smoother in a VW.

I drove a Honda CRV for twenty years without so much as a burnt out light bulb but it was old technology. That said, I'm getting used to the new tech and so far I'm loving it. The interior design is modern and is very comfortable. AND I love the overall exterior looks. My first VW in over 50 years, first was back in 1964. As for the engine noise, I am disappointed to hear a profound, loud rapping noise emanating from under the hood when accelerating. Car seems to lurch a bit at slow speeds no matter what transmission mode is selected. I also find the auto start and stop feature rather annoying, even if disabled, upon initial startup that feature is always enabled, so if you don't like it you have to manually turn it off... each and every time you start up. I've only had this vehicle for five days so still evaluating all the features, likes and dislikes. So far, the likes outnumber the dislikes.

Tiguan is all I need, comfortable, spacious, easy to handle, best car I bought in my life , color is awesome, easy in/out for my size, price is right. Elk Grove VW best to work with, friendly, efficient, knowledge of vehicle.

It is perfect for my needs. Not too small and not too big. Very comfortable for long trips. Great car in the winter with the four motion. Only problem I have is that the engine is very growly. Been told they are all like that.

This car is well designed very nice to drive in all weather conditions very nice interior and exterior design backup camera gives you a clear view and clear sight lines

There?s so many options when looking at the Tiguan that ANY person can find their perfect match! It?s going to take me some time to figure out all the bells and whistles on it, but it will be a fun ride along the way! Beauty, comfort, performance!

I upgraded to a newer sized tiguan for 2018. Previously owned a 2013 which I enjoyed but wishes for more cargo space. Love the colors for the 2018 models just wish that there were more available options in the newer colors vs the white,gary,black, and red.

I owned a Tiguan prior and traded it in for the latest version. It?s a great and reliable car. They have changed the transmission and there is a bit of a lag which is a little disappointing. They?ve also taken away some of my favorite features like the extra storage and adjustable arm rest. That was a little disappointing. Overall I still think it?s a great buy.

It has so many safety features. Small SUV, but a great size for a family car. The second row is very spacious.

A very beautiful car and easy to drive. I got the SEL. So far so good. Very easy to drive and handle. Touch unlock and lock is smooth. Interior is comfortable and spacious rivals that of Porsche and Mercedes and its very luxurious. Good gas mileage for an SUV.
