4 years ago I was a pen stroke away from buying a new Ford Fusion. My buddy works at Audi Reno and said come take a look at this car. It was an original owner white 2008 S4 with 68k miles. I read all the reviews and was super skeptical. I was concerned about maintenance and timing chain issues. After driving it and feeling those Recaro seats and sound of that sweet NA V8 I decided that life is short and to take the risk. Here we are 4 years later and that risk certainly paid off. The S4 has been an absolute pleasure to own and to drive as a daily commuter. They look sick, that V8 will always put a smile on your face, it eats corners alive, and has all the power you could ever want. The Quattro AWD makes the S4 a dream to drive in the snow and makes it a practical choice for certain climates. I've put 40k miles on it over the last 4 years and not a single problem outside of regular maintenance which for a now dated car, is hardly more expensive than your non euro Ford Fusion for example. My friend is actually the head mechanic at Audi Reno and he said the later years of this model.. 07 and particularly the 08 are pretty solid. 08 was the last year they made that model and they had worked out a lot of the kinks. He also said that with dilligent regular maintenance he has seen these cars get to 200k miles without timing chain issues. IMO the biggest "risk" you take by far is related to gas prices. It's a F****** gas guzzler. Take it easy you will be lucky to get 12 MPG. Put it in sport mode you are certainly under 10MPG. This is definitely the main drawback for me. You will find yourself at the pump more than you would like! Having said that, you should take the risk and buy this car given the following: it has a proper service history, you have had it looked at by a mechanic who knows these cars, and a willingness to pay at the pump. If those are all true... take the risk and buy it!!! For me the S4 has been amazing. The sound of that NA V8 with the windows down on a nice summer day.. Doesn't get much better than that!!!!

This is one of those cars that gets peoples attention when they see it. I have really had a lot of fun with my S4, plenty of power, plenty of handling, plenty of pretty. The only down fall is the small back seats are not that easily accessible.

You will get the most comfort, luxury, and performance all in one car for a very decent price. It's a V8 with AWD. What more can you ask for. Keep up with the maintenance and you will have a smile on your face at all times when driving.

Can't tell you what a pleasure it is to drive this priceless vehicle, the last of the Audi sticks. Just listen to its motor, there aren't many around anymore! This gem is in fabulous condition in and out!

Great engine but Has timing chain rattle, interior is in prestige condition years later. Comfortable ride quality but make sure to look at the front control arms and axles, my front two are clicking. Headlights, watch out mine have seen better days.

Great car! Wanted a convertible that was comfortable and could seat 4 passengers + good looks + good performance. BMW 6 series and 3 series are great performers but lacked passenger room, especially trunks. Plus BMW I-drive is painful. Audi was smart to offer soft top bc it saves trunk space. Can't beat quattro 4-wheel drive for winters! Downside is gas mileage - those of you looking for quiet ride should look at A4, as the S4 has V8 rumble (appealing and fun to drive). Variable assist steering, though lacks feel, excellent around town. If you want sheer driver's car performance drop top, look at M3. If you have a few kids in tow, and want a fun car that can be admired by all, the S4 delivers in spades.

I bought my s4 for 3400 out the door with 147k miles and i am now about 11k in to it in repairs mainly being the timing chain and clutch replacement as well as getting a missfire fixed and engine mounts replaced Other then those things the car is great it has the power to get up and go not to mention the handling while "not as great" as the bmw's of it's time if yoy drive it right you can still pull off just about the same things

My Avant is and has been a complete joy to own. The ride quality is firm but not hard when on the road she is silky smooth. The cabin is so quite and the Bose sound system is so well balanced. Handling is superb, and the V8 in sport mode is a beast and really pulls. The quality and fit and finish of the interior and exterior is top notch. Really is one of the most enjoyable vehicles I've owned.

Fast and dirty. 20+ salesmen all busy. 800 used cars from auction, none of them have been detailed yet. If you need a car today on a sub $15k budget I would go here and detail it yourself. Good place to buy a first car. Don’t buy a luxury item or anything collectible. The the inventory doesn’t turn super fast so every single car will likely need a rotor resurfacing. They had family guy on the tv which I thought was odd for a dealership. Not really dealership vibes, which is good!

This car is awesome, period. Everywhere I go, I get complements on my (new to me) Avant. And the power, its there when you need it ! Now its not a 500 horse powerhouse like some cars out there, but for everyday driving and even when you want to go to the mountain twisties, this car is just right to get the job done with a big smile on your face ! The only two slightly negative things about this car are these : the gas consumption is 13 city / 20 highway. Average is 16mpg. If that shocks you then this isn't the car for you. Then comes the overall cost of ownership, above the gas guzzeling. when she needs to go to the shop for something specific or just a simple oilchange ( which will cost $100 even if you do it yourself) , plan on a bare minimum of $150 to $300. Now, if your not swayed by any of that and you just plain love this car (like I do) than find the best speciman you can and take the plunge !! Oh yeah, did I mention the exhaust note... Highly addicting !!!!!

This car is a blast to drive. This is my 3rd Audi and the S4 cabriolet is awesome. It’s quick (not blistering quick) but it is incredibly smooth weather driving hard into corners or cruising down the highway. I get all kinds of compliments on the car as well.

Car is super fast, surprisingly good on gas. Comfortable leg room up front. Great feeling on the road, grips curves very well. The auti-trans is out of this world.

Initially saw the car on Cars.com, called the Autovend Dealership and worked with Andy while buying out of state for my first time. Asked for videos and pictures of the vehicle & Andy delivered. Mahfuz was also very quick with response times on e-mail chains. All in all- bought the vehicle and it was delivered. Good experience.
