I bought my 2004 325i in 2005 with about 20,000 km on it. It has been very reliable and has all the features I could want in a car. It's still running perfectly with about 275,000 km on it now. I do maintenance as recommended by the BMW club which includes some preventive maintenance. Repair costs have been about the same as other cars. If you are looking for a good used car, the 2003 to 2005 BMW 325i should be on your list.

first gen e90, sports package, heated seats, staggered tire set, tuned down 3.0l inline 6. A22 sparkling graphite paint compared to previous version e36, e46 this is a excellent verion of the BMW 3 series excellent ride, comfortable, perfect long distance driver, handles awesome on mountain roads. Ample trunk space, good sound system. navigation system outdated, no way to upgrade - simple waze app makes bmw system obsolete not fond of the aluminum trim, shows scratches and dings very easily prefer the wood trim option if maintained proper, expect 28-30 mpg even after 110,000 miles on odometer awesome all around 3 series performer made in Bavaria! find one, and pour some love in it and it will be a good and faithful servant

325Xi Wagon. Simply a classic. Great road feel and long distance driver. This is my second and I just think it is a perfect BMW. Plenty of space to lug stuff around and is just a treat to drive. Stable in winter weather. Fun on the twisties. Engine is responsive and sounds amazing. Can't say enough about this E46.

Overall it was a good experience. I bought a 2013 Audi A4 from them, and although the car had a list of issues, I bought the car knowing full well all of them. I was unsure if I should buy the car or not, but Ralph made sure I was comfortable with the purchase by allowing me to take the car to a mechanic to do a pre purchase inspection. I learned about the issues with the car, made sure I would be able to fix them, and bought the car for a much lower price them what's normally asked for that car with only 82k miles. So far, the car has been great!

Great ride for the age and miles, you cant even tell. Runs smooth and strong, and you cant even tell the car is on. Car just needs floor mats and a really good detail, but overall very clean inside and out.

You will need to pamper this baby. Only BMW products and 91 octane and this car should never break down. It has 177,000 miles and small oil leak. I bought it at an auction and by luck SHE’S A KEEPER. Had it 11 months. I only go to BMW dealer for repairs Robert Hartsell my specialist at Riverside BMW!. It has small oil leak but still runs perfect already. Starts first try! in winter you need to warm up so it keeps running. So far put $1,200 in repairs. It’s costly but worth it. I need to fix the other 2 oil leak. It had 4 and now down to two oil leaks. YOU CANNOT PUT ANYTHING BUT BMW OIL!! FAIR WARNING!!! I drive up and down California for work and holidays. Today is thanksgiving. I drove from Riverside to Sacramento to be with family. NO ENGINE LIGHT! Only if u don’t warm up in cold mornings then engine light will come on! Car runs Good In All weather conditions. NO PROBLEM!!! But you have to pamper it. Pamper means only BMW products and BMW REPAIR SHOP!!! DO NOT GO TO AUTOZONE!!! If you put penzoil YOU FAIL!!! I'm the original owner and have put over 140k on it to date 4/21. It has been my main transport since purchase. I have the manual and no matter where I'm heading its a blast to be going there. It is nimble because it is lighter than it's heavier, newer cousins but it can still stick a corner and accelerate away with enough umph to make you smile for the basic little beauty it is. I've had to have a few minor repairs in the last 4 years but prior to that it was a steady, reliable companion who never let me down. Back seating has plenty of room, front seats are plenty roomy for tall people. Heated seats and other novel inovative items for its time still work great.

This car has been excellent and met all my needs. It’s sporty, quick, excellent handling, quiet and comfortable. I bought a newer model and its time for this one to serve someone else for many years of great performance as it has me.

I Brought this car 2minths ago for 1800 with 20005 miles on it one owner I have but about 600 into it nothing major runs great I drive to work everyday I even door dash on the side I guess it’s all about how you maintain your car I get compliments all the time. I definitely recommend it.

This is my second one and I enjoy the e46 platform. My first one was high mileage with 160k on it and I drove it everywhere here in SoCal, all the major beaches. I started having overheating problems due to the coolant system. BIGGEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE ANYONE is to fix ALL of your coolant system not just one piece you might have problems with. I’m onto my second one which i got at 69k miles I’m currently at 77k now and not having any major issues but a oil leak. Yes they love leaking oil it’s fixable but it’s definitely a thing with these older bmws. It’s not the hardest car to work on which is great, you can definitely run up a tab if you have a mechanic do your work.

The BMW 3 series of the E46 generation is truly the best when it comes to driving experience. This is easy as once you seat inside you'll notice the great outward visibility and driver focused center console. The seat is adjustable in every way and the steering wheel too. Stay on top of the maintenance, invest in upgrades such as good tires and performance enhancing to increase confidence. They're relatively rare, handsome and a classic. Would recommend to any BMW or automotive enthusiast.

Generally people start out by saying they are expensive to maintain, just don't go to the dealership. In every City there is someone who specializes in BMW older models. 2500 miles is oil change time, not 5000 miles like dealership will tell you. I strongly believe the reason they tell you that is something will go wrong and you will be right back in there to fix a $3000 repair that normally would cost you $75 elsewhere, As this happened to me. At 100,000 miles, whether it needs it or not, REPLACE "VISA VALVE". This part sits on the side of the motor right at the oil stick. There's a light rattle sometimes when I start the car, then goes away. When it got bad enough, check engine light came on, it stopped in its tracks. It took my son one minute to take off 3 screws and replace. The part was $59.00 on Amazon! Dealership wanted $500 for the part and $300 to put it on. Car is good as new.

He also gave me great advice on what to do with the vehicle in terms of restoration work that would save me money and time in the long run, while still making sure I would get the best work done on the vehicle.
