Used BMW 528 for sale under $5,000 near me

I bought my car three years ago. I am very impressed with the smoothness of the drive, reliability, and features. With over 170,000 miles, primarily maintenance items only. Are dealers in repair shops will try to charge more based on the vehicle, but maintenance is quite easy and inexpensive if you do them yourself. It is important to regularly change the oil and filter every 5000 to 7500 miles to keep it operating smoothly. Only non-maintenance repairs include front CV shafts ($160), Control Arm ($110) and Fuel Pump ($140) which I found videos on YouTube and completed within two hours each. Regular oil and filter changes ($30) take 15 minutes and very easy to access. If you don’t mind doing the work yourself, the car is inexpensive to keep and maintain, gets good gas mileage (28mpg), drives excellent, and looks great.

I bought a 2010 528xidrive and fell in love within minutes. I had always wanted a BMW , and since I was born in Germany i felt entitled. I believe in being straight up in any and all situations. So yes I love my car more than my husband lol im excited to drive every day, there is nothing like the feeling you get when your behind the wheel of a bmw luxury sedan. It handles well on the freeway,and Excell's quickly . However bmw any model has to be maintained. Its not cheap but my love for the car is why I do it. This car has an extremely large battery and it takes alot of power to keep everything functional. The advice i would give is read up on the bmw model you want. Learn how the vehicle operates and understand what your bmw is telling you. maintenance your bmw with a reputable certified bmw mechanic. The only issues I have is that after 10 my bmw shows signs of needing shocks and struts. Other than that the stereo for being stock is off the hook ,and I like loud music. I get compliments on a daily basis . My car has a sexapele that is undeniable. Lol oh if a problem does arise check your fuses first. I bought 2011 Honda Pilot EX in 2016 from East Coast Auto Source. It had bullet holes in the body and some shot out windows. I repaired the bullet holes, and had the other repairs completed. Car ran well and it needed some other work. Nine years later, we have 211,000 more miles on the Pilot. It was a good price and East Coast Auto Source was upfront and honest about the repairs and had the car shipped to my mechanic. I would bought another car in 2024 from them and I am happy with the deal.

This is a bulletproof car if you take care of it and just change oil every 5000 miles. It will run 300,000 without problem. I had 5 series few of them and one I drove up to 275,000 when I sold it and had no check engine or codes or any issues.

Car handles great and is very comfortable. We have owned BMWs before so we are glad to be back in one. The steering is sporty and the turn radius is tight on the 5 series. The cooling fan is a little loud at idling but this is probably cuz the car is so hottttttt(lol). We live our BMW and especially the carfax history behind this little beauty.

While a few years old at this point, this car has been extremely reliable with literally no issues. In 11 years of ownership we've changed the oil, brake fluid, & tires...and that's it! Even the features on the car are consistent with a new vehicle. The luxury aspects of this car are incomparable to many newer vehicles as well. Definitely recommend the car!

I’ve long wanted to own a BMW. I waited until I retired from a U.S. auto mfg. to buy my 528i with X Drive. Initially it was to serve as my winter transportation here in Michigan. But unless I spent $$ on winter tires the car was not great in snow or on ice. I still drive it in winter but only when the roads are fairly clear. I’ve been very impressed by the way this BMW handles on the road. Probably one of the most comfortable car I’ve driven for long distances. Extremely comfortable seats. It’s not a sports car but it handles extremely well. I was surprised to discover it can deliver great fuel economy. I got over 30 mpg on a trip to Florida. I bought it used off a lease with about 78k miles. It now has about 112k miles with no huge costly repairs needed. Great car!

I've had many cars(including trucks and SUV's)that I've had the pleasure of driving. The BMW 528i I currently own is by far,the most satisfying car I have ever had. The handling is fantastic. Even though it is not a "sports car",it has the torque and power needed to handle both country/mountain driving to your average freeway driving. The interior instrument panel is a ease to manage and see. The 5 Series is definitely a luxury sports sedan that is well designed.

Recently purchased 2013 bmw 528i Xdrive - Alpine white over cinnamon brown beautiful spec. 80k miles - 6 months later no problems. Equipped with cold weather package - and 360 camera. Amazing technology for the year. The illuminated door handles at night really provide a luxury feel before entering the comfortable interior. Extremely smooth drive but then you put it in Sport mode and everything changes - faster throttle response. Tighter steering, propelling you forward leaving everyone in your rear view. The sound system although not specified as Harman/Kardon still is loud enough for me to not care. Really loud and stock Bluetooth connectivity is great. Engine has light rattle sound on start up but it’s a common noise for that base engine and gets quieter when engine warms up. First bmw and easily stands out as one of my favorite cars owned to date.

This is my 4th BMW and I find it very reliable very comfortable, safe but fun car. I read here that someone paid $ 2,000.00 for a camshaft position sensor replacement. That’s just so wrong. The OEM sensor max $ 150.00 but you can get a very reliable one -same Hungarian company makes it who makes the OEM- and it could be replaced in 10 minutes. So the diagnoses the part and labor should definitely not be more than $ 500.00. The problem is that most shops are so greedy, they think they can charge insane amounts just because you have a BMW and that means you have lots of money. My mechanic cleaned the camshaft position sensor, put it back and the rough idle was fixed. He charged me $ 80.00 dollars. Very honest person. I bought the part for $ 65.00 just in case I will need to replace it in the future. This car has probably the best engine BMW developed and made, so I will keep this car until it will be feasible.

I just went into my local shop for this 528 X Drive's first real service (other than oil and brakes) since dealer service ended at 4 years 40K. i have had no real issues and had transmission, transfer case , front diff & rear diff fluids changed. Looking forward to my next 100K

For a car designed in the 1990's, it has been a car that always caught my eye, I have always had ONE BMW. At 45 Y.O. I appreciate the creature comforts of my e39. I love the drive train and the DCT. Lucky to have the M-Tech package. Its a VERY comfortable car. I have found that BMW was more comfortable and sporty than Mercedes was especially in the 1980's... 2000 BMW 528iA

I have only had it for about two weeks. But it is an amazing car for being 8 years old. The exterior is in amazing condition, and after I put on a ceramic coating it looks like it just came off a new car showroom floor. Took it on a road trip last week and marveled at what a good road car it was. All in all it was a happy purchase I made.
