I bought my first BMW in 2014. A new 640XI convertible... I have purchased many new vehicles including 5 Lexus 4LS models and 1 Sports coupe. The BMW was without a doubt the best. Now with regard to customer service as well as service departments (which is almost as important as the car model I select) Rallye BMW was without a doubt the best in both categories. So now that my BMW is eleven years old my wife and I decided it was time to look for a new car. There wasn't much to think about so we returned to my Rallye BMW dealership in Westbury and go for a test drive. Immediately after that test drive we returned to the dealer and negotiated the purchase of a new 2026 8XI convertible. Excellent performance and comfort. Rides well, quick and responsive. Hate the run flat tires, but other than that it is wonderful. I would suggest the industry not use run flat tires. Seems to have a shorter life and is a major pain if a flat occurs in a rural area.

Best driving BMW. Traded in 2013 550i. Torque, acceleration, & handling of new 540 surpasses my old 550. Could use more interior storage. The seats were slightly more Comfortable in my old 550. So far, I'm impressed with the new 540.

I purchased the 540i xDrive with shadowline package in March 2022. The exterior is absolutely beautiful, The vehicle handles very well. Excellent acceleration. I love the option to be able to switch driving element from economy, comfort or sport. Driver assist works great; even on curves. There’s not much back seat room to move your feet, or if you have big feet, but overall a very comfortable vehicle. I can’t think of any other luxury sedan I’d select over it.

Like the car, performance is all I expected, gas mileage is better than I expected, has had couple minor electronic bugs but dealer service excellent.

I recently bought a BMW 540i xdrive. It has ample acceleration, excellent handling on curves, a ride that is neither harsh nor floaty, and gets decent mileage. Wind and road noise are well suppressed, and the Harmon-Kardon stereo system is excellent. The built-in navigation system is also the best of those I've experienced. The trunk is adequate for vacation traveling, the rear seat folds, and there is adequate leg room for rear passengers. The only drawbacks are that the car was over-engineered with three different ways of doing almost everything: voice command, iDrive, and touch screen. The owner's manual is available online and in printed format, but the instructions are difficult to find and to follow. There are some features missing in a passenger car in this price and size segment: rear seat temperature control, and passenger seat memory. I also find the standard front seats a little narrow compared to the Volvo I had been driving.

The MDX is great so far. Harold was great to deal with and got to experience the Mass RMV first hand and how easy they make things (pure sarcasm). He was great with getting the MDX registered and getting a few odds and ends done.

This is my first new BMW in 10 years. Although a few touches remain the same, the car is mostly a new design. The interior is sumptuous in the cognac color; the light package allows for a change in ambiance and feeling. There are three driving modes that add to the feel of the wheel and car. The new 48 volt electrical system overcomes the stop mode so that I can pull away from a stop with smooth ease. The engine is a power house with a smooth and potent turbo. I added the larger brakes with the red calipers for stopping and looks with the 19" wheels. Very happy with the purchase.
