If you wanna buy a used M5 check the engine if it's mixing oil and water. if you wanna see it yourself. remove the engine oil cap. you'll see some mayonnaise. If you find some mayonnaise that means the engine will need to be replaced.

Owned a 2009 BMW M3 Coupe for 5 years and loved every day. Was a hard recession parting with it and even harder finding a vehicle that would bring such fun and excitement to everyday driving. Looked at the new M3/4, the Jaguar F Type R, Mercedes SL550 and even Porsche. Finally settled on the M5 because it had equal to greater performance to the M3 but with vastly more comfort and usability ( at least to me). The M3 is great for twisty roads and quick acceleration between two points, but the M5 just eats long distances with comfort and style! It has huge power when needed and it's so effortless you have to keep an eye open to stay within the speed limits. Driving the M5 is fun and exciting, the electronic features make day to day living with car a pleasure. It's bigger than the M3/4, smaller than an M6 - with more inside room than both for 4-5 passengers, and Theron lies the driver behind the decision. If you want power, style , features and space for more than 2 people, you won't be unhappy with an M5.

Bought a Crimson Red, one owner 2013 BMW M5 with 56k miles. 10k miles later, it has proved to be one of the most fun cars I could have purchased. Was looking for a well maintained Porsche 911- a BMW M5 didn’t cross my mind. Came across one a family friend was selling that was her late husband’s daily driver. With special order interior and exterior colors from BMW and a Dinan tuner, I paid a quarter of the 128k price in 2013...only five years later. This car is a BEAST. Brakes and routine service so far this year. Not cheap but not insanely expensive. This car is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Turns heads and has been good to me so far. Fingers crossed for another fun year of ownership.

I recently purchased A 2018 Alpina B7 from Ray at Motor Cars Of Chicago. When I purchased the car I made it clear to Ray that I was going to be in need of the title in ASAP fashion – Ray said I’d have the title within two weeks and boy did I just like he said he fulfilled the promise he made no questions asked. Also on the way home after taking delivery, I had a very minor problem that turned out to be a bad battery. Ray was unaware of when we took delivery of the car – Ray didn’t hesitate he reimbursed me for the batteries I had to have installed at the BMW dealer by the BMW dealer. He said the car was flawless and he stood behind that statement. Ray is very straightforward and no xx perhaps not full of warm fuzzies for everyone but a great way to do business, especially in the luxury and highline car business. I find Ray to be honorable direct and stand up and we’ll do business with him again if I had any reservations about doing business with them before this transaction, they are all completely gone and yours should be too. This vehicle breathes speed and luxury!! It drives so comfortable and smooth that you have to constantly check your speed to ensure your not breaking the speed limit. When you are sitting inside, your more comfortable than when sitting in your dad's recliner! The leather seats just hug you and make you feel like a part of the car. If you've never owned or tested a BMW M5... You are definitely missing out on one of the best driving experiences on the road!!

This car is incredible. Note that I might be a little biased because this was my dad's first M car way back when, and I was basically born in this thing, but my 2000 M5 isn't leaving my ownership anytime soon. Threw a pair of HRE's and Continentals on there, and the xxxx thing just goes wherever you want it to go! It performs better the harder you drive it. And as a family car to drive my friends and family around in, or even do grocery trips with some fun in between stoplights, this may be the perfect car. For the money that they go for now, you can't get much more bang for the buck out of any car. As of late Aug, 2022, their market values have been on the rise as they're becoming less "old cars" and more "vintage supercars". The model year is from 2000 to 2003. The 2003 models will usually have the alcantara interior instead of leather, and it's a little facelifted. Nothing too noticeable. My 2000 is incredible enough. Awesome legroom in the front and back, a very BMW-esque reliable and forgiving engine and platform for beginners, and speaking of beginners, this is the car I used to learn how to drive a stick shift. Amazing clutch feel and response, and i would 10/10 recommend that you get a manual over the automatics because this era was near the beginning of automatic transmissions and they weren't that great in any car until like 2006/07 to be honest. Hope this helped you decide to buy arguably the overall best car to come out of BMW's M division.

Best Fun Car I Ever owned. Expensive on the maintenance side coming from a Honda. Has lots of torque and horsepower. New car now a days has too much technology. This M5 feels very raw.
