I cannot believe that BMW put a 4 cylinder with turbo in an X3. It is the single problem I have with my car. otherwise it is perfect. The 6 cylinder in my 2005 was Awesome!!!!! BMW stands for Performance, GIVE IT.

The main issue I've had with this car is learning its vast number of controls, some of which are in strange places (such as at the end of the directional signal stalk) and are not clearly marked. The gearshift, for example, is counter-intuitive, and is moved backwards to go forwards, and vice versa-unlike most cars, it doesn't really move and fit into a slot for the appropriate gear. For no fathomable reason, the rear view camera stays on when you then drive forward. The warning system, for a car crossing or a person crossing, is unreliable; for example, if you have the car in reverse, the car hasn't moved yet, but a person walks behind the car, the warning signal does not sound--it only sounds if the car is already moving in reverse (if the pedestrian was walking right behind the car, you already hit him or her). There are also other "features" that make no sense. On the other hand, the car is fun to drive, reasonably powerful, attractive (I think--my wife disagrees), comfortable (except that one feels remarkably many bumps in the road), and quiet.

I have used the 2019 BMW X3 for over a year now, as my third BMW, the other two being the 3 series sedan, with just one problem; Fuel pump failure, though due to my negligence. I now understand that the BMW cannot be operated without sufficient Fuel.

We purchased a 2024 Nissan after visiting 2 Echo Park locations. Smooth experience, cars were well maintained and we got a good deal. Would purchase from there again. Very low pressure to purchase, both sales people we worked with were upfront and clear.

It's all about the B58 in the M40i. I dinged it one star on comfort because this little SUV rides quite "sporty" even in Comfort mode. I absolutely love this about the car, but I could see how some would feel this is too harsh as it is not a luxurious, cushy ride. But tuck this little beast into a fast corner and it's just...wow! This little German SUV is a sleeper. While the X3M is very nice, the M40i is the perfect balance in my opinion. BMW has really stepped up their game in the X3.

My husband and son needed a new vehicle asap which is difficult these days and my husband was in Austin only for the weekend to finalize a sale. No cars are to be had but Marshall G., the manager at Howdy Honda went over and above to find a vehicle for my son and get the sale done! We cannot thank Marshall enough for all his help! I have owned two BMWs and have taken my car to both BMW dealerships in the Austin area, but BMW of South Austin by far exceeds any other dealership when it comes to truly caring for the customer. The staff is nice and friendly and everything is so seamless and straightforward. For me, the star is the Service Advisor : Brian Woolverton. He exceeds expectations in all aspects of providing you the best service possible, EVERYTIME. I am from Pflugerville and I drive for 40-45mins just because he is an excellent advisor. If you are in Austin area and have a BMW, I would highly recommend you to go meet with Brian for all your servicing needs. You will not be let down.

Only have been driving the car for a week, but it is clearly the best SUV I have experienced. My wife drives the Mercedes 300 - a fine car as well, but I have always preferred BMY engine performance and handling. The X3 is simply a pleasure to drive.

Jasmine was an absolute gem knowledgeable, upbeat, and hilarious. She somehow managed to walk the fine line between professional and “are-we-best-friends-now?” I came in unsure what I wanted. I bought my X5 at BMW of South Austin 4 years ago. I have always brought my car for service and or repairs to the same location. I really like the attention, personal interactions, very friendly people and making sure its all fine. I havent faced any issue thus far. Jalen Long was super helpful, transparent and really great to work with. Noah's video was also very clear, detailed and gives confidence on transparency.

Everyone at this location was excellent. Albert Larrieu was incredible to work with. We recently lost our house and 4 cars to a tornado. We are a family of 9, our vehicle needs are quite unique. My primary vehicles were a 12 passenger Nissan NV and a Torrent. To decrease how many large purchases we were having to make at once, I wanted something I could use as a daily that could also fit all of use. Alas, the 9 passenger, 3 bench seats, fold down center console, with a bench 2nd row vs captions chairs. I spent the better part of 2 weeks relentlessly searching. I came across one at Autonation in West Austin, 6.5 hours away. Albert reached out to me promptly, he immediately offered to take pictures himself and send them to me. He was understanding of our unique situation and made it all happen. We flew into Austin and left the dealership with our Suburban in under 2 hours. Albert, his colleagues, the manager, the finance, all went above and beyond. The service was so well we may just go back, it was worth the flight and drive. After 2 weeks of building our lives back from the ground up, they sure made this a stress free experience.

One is never too happy when your BMW has issues, but when you take it to BMW of South Austin you are treated like a king at every phase of the visit - from the kind and courteous staff and Service Reps to the Technicians that quickly diagnose and resolve your vehicle's issues. And a free car wash and mini detail on car's interior is a very nice touch. Top-notch team and the best of service every time!

Our salesman, Jonathan is a true professional. The dealership made this a painful experience. Never going back. The only reason we put up with 2 days of getting jerked around was because they were the nearest dealership that had the vehicle we wanted in stock. We'll never return.

I have had three BMWs, all with great reliability and high satisfaction, but this is my first BMW SUV. After 5 weeks of ownership, my 2024 X3 is on its way to becoming my all-time favorite. The handling is great, the safety features superb, and the comfort and luxury appearance have surpassed my expectations. We are so happy with this car that my husband is talking about getting one for himself, and he is an Audi and LandRover fan. BMW, thank you for your continued dedication to quality and reliability.

I think this car is a good family car to drive around with since it has the key features needed to be a family car

Love the X3! Comfortable and pretty good on gas.., smoot ride and so far been great with commuting. Will most likely purchase the x5 for a little more space for traveling.
