I've owned my 2003 3.0i 6sp E85 for almost 9 years. Equipped w/ M Sport option, 18" staggered alloys and painted in a beautiful Toledo Blue. Yes the car has need some maintenance, some worn parts replaced, but nothing too surprising or extraordinary expensive aside from tires. I'm in my 60's and still do most of my own work. Love the ride, the style, 6sp manual transmission, the power, the smoothness of the car in general. Would I recommend this car? Only to those that love a car that YOU want to drive. NO AI frills to distract one. Just a pure driving experience.

The car rides comfortably with little road noise for a roadster. My biggest complaint is the problem of water getting to the top motor making the top inoperable and is a expensive fix. It appears BMW does not have a permanent fix for this problem.

Where can I begin? - I first owned a 1968 Shelby 350, then went to Pontiac for their Trans-Am models until 2000 when I bought my first BMW 3 in 2000. In 2003, I completely changed brands to BMW with my Z4. 2nd Day of production, I was in BMW's factory in Spartanburg,SC to witness her birth. Afterwards, we spent our first moments together on BMW's nearby test track. After those all too brief moments, she was wrapped & packaged to be delivered to my dealer in AZ. The days I spent waiting in AZ seemed endless as I waited to bring her into my home. She now has a special space in my garage. It may sound somewhat anthropomorphic but BMW creates a product which becomes part of your life. Own a BMW and be prepared to have it become part of Your Family.

Love how it handles now after upgrading to 18 inchers with Michelin Pilot Sports. It's a bit underpowered with the 2.5 but certainly adequate. Will still top out at 236 kph! Keep up with maintenance on these cars otherwise they'll bite you. Check forums for items.

I wanted an affordable, classy, two passenger, manual, performance car and boy did i get it! Quick, responsive, and lots of fun to drive. Very stiff suspension so comfort is sacrificed but that is the trade off for cornering the way this car does.

I DID NOT ACTUALLY PURCHASE ANY VEHICLE. I was curious about a MGB that was listed, sent a text in the evening and they got back to me the next morning. I decided not to go forward with this car or any car at this time. I will certainly check in with then when I am ready to purchase a car.

BMW Z4 Coupe 3.0si. This car is very unique because of its rarity, but also its driving dynamics. It is great fun to drive with excellent handling. Weight distribution is very near 50/50, the chassis is exceptionally rigid, and you can feel the balance & poise when driving hard. If you want it to stick to the road it does, if you want it to slide it does. Changes direction almost intuitively. You are in control, and you feel very much a part of the car, and visa versa. Only complaint is the lack of a Limited slip differential, however that can be retrofitted easily. The 3.0L (Si) engine is an absolute gem with great torque & power delivery, smoothness, and one of the best soundtracks out there. It is a pleasure to rev it to its limit. Styling is subjective of course, but it is definitely different than most other sport coupes, and the classic old-school proportions are just beautiful, to my eyes. I get looks on the road quite frequently even though the car is 12 years old. The interior styling is great in my opinion. Leg room & head room is more than ample even if you are over 6 ft, however the cabin is on the smaller side, so there is not much room for anything else (other than the passengers). Also, bigger drivers might find the bucket seats a tad too tight. The quality of materials is mixed, as there is nice leather and soft plastics in some places, but not-so-good quality hard plastics in other places. Trunk is quite large for its class. The manual gearbox is a bit notchy and requires a firm hand, but you get used to it and it does the job just fine. Especially in fast, high-reving gear changes. Reliability in my experience is 10/10. Absolutely no complaints. Now for the car's Achille's heel: the ride comfort is bad. No other way to say it. The suspension is very stiff even for a sports car. It's fine on smooth roads, but on anything other than good tarmac/asphalt the ride is close to being unacceptable. Being "sporty" or a "sports car" is not an excuse, as there are plenty of other sports cars of its era with amazing handling, as well as comfortable suspension (Porsche Cayman/Boxster, Mazda RX8, Mazda Miata, Toyota GT86 etc). If not for the suspension being overly firm, the BMW Z4 coupe 3.0si would be close to the Perfect sports car. It is still a fantastic car, which offers so very much...but it is not for everyone. And that maybe, is why it didn't sell so well when it was new, thus making it rare and even more special now.

It is an affordable, rare, zippy little car that really gives you the Ultimate Driving machine experience without the cost of other cars in its class. The car has a very firm ride , adequate performance from the 3.0. With a manual transmission one really gets to experience the pleasure of a real GT car. It turns lots of heads since it is so rare.

These are amazing cars in my opinion. With so many options that are included in even the base models, truly impressive work the additional available packages. I was lucky enough to find a 2003 with 68,000 miles for just under $8,000... this was a couple years ago. It valued at $11,000 with all the options it has (convenience package, premium sound package, sport package, etc), and all values just about the same or a tad higher. With some of these options, you can adjust our turn off the traction control, or various other features in case you have s different driving requirement or style lol. Final comment on this; just a couple of days ago I was pulled over by a motorcycle officer running a speed trap. The very first thing he said to me was "Ok, so this obviously isn't a 2003... what's going on with it?" Lol you get that a lot with these cars.

This car truly lives up to BMW's ads claiming it's a "Driving Machine". I just bought a 2nd BMW (X3), which is more practical, but I never plan on selling my older 2006 BMW Z4 3.0Si roadster. I absolutely LOVE this car due to its styling, performance, reliability, and how FUN it is to drive. I actually like the classic 2006 Z4 roadster far better than a lot of the newer Z4 models. It's definitely a collector's car at this point.

Superb. Great service, no drama, moved fast. Never tried a hard sell or any other tricks or tangents. I'd go there again when needed.

The design, the undercarriage, the feel, the gearbox, the ease of convertible raising and lowering, are all superb. Gorgeous lines. My BWM mechanic tells me the engine is superb and will last many, many years with good care.

I bought used and only have it a month, but I love driving this car. Even with the base engine it has good power. Get lot's of compliments from everyone about the design. Dinged 1 star in performance because of the electric power steering.

Here is a review of my start to finish process of buying a car from Gateway Classic Cars, Ft. Lauderdale: ----- 1. The sales people who you work with are not on site. They're working remote so they don't have eyes on the car. ---- So, 2. You'll want to be connected with someone on site who can start and drive the car, provide a walkaround video, pictures of whatever you want and give their input. I worked with Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location for my purchase and he was outstanding with helping me to know the car before making an offer. He is the reason that this is a 5 star review. -------- 3. Hauling: They'll get you a quote for hauling the vehicle. I chose Nexus Transport myself to use. They were a bit cheaper and top rated by Forbes. That went just fine. --------- 4. These cars are all on consignment. So, I feel that you have to be a little more careful because you have another party who may not have disclosed things to Gateway. Best practice is to get a pre-buy done from someone like Lemon Squad. That being said, I was so comfortable with my deal, took the risk and waived the pre-buy. And in my case, the Prowler is a mint gem and I have no concerns after receiving it. Also, there is a common thought then you buy a car like this, you should budget 10% or so of the price for maintenance right after you get the car because stuff always comes up, otherwise, don't buy a used car. --------5. Since they're on consignment, they have commissions they charge the seller. As a buyer, I don't care if I see a commissions line on the purchase agreement. As long as my out the door number was what I offered, that's fine. --------6. I wired money to them and within a few hours, I had all the fully executed paperwork back in my hands. Title took about 3 weeks to receive by UPS. And the folder had everything I needed to register the car in my state. Wow! Thank you Barbara! ------ 7. So here is what breeds loyalty. Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location made sure the car was completely ready to be picked up including accessories that were bubble wrapped. The car was supposed to be picked up at Noon on Saturday, plenty of time before they closed at 5pm. He stayed until the truck arrived...very late....AT 1:30am Sunday morning!!!! (Otherwise, it would have sat until Tuesday). I cannot believe he did that for me. I received my car loading video at 2am. That's unbelievable service that deserves more than 5 stars. ------- Summary: I'd have zero issues with buying from Gateway again....they just operate in a different dealership style than what I'm used to, which is just fine.

I am in love with my "new" 2007 si roadster convertible. The stock exhaust and engine have such a great sound. Performance output is just enough to excite and feed your senses for speed. If you want more speed get a dragster and race it at a local dragstip. In my eyes BMW truly built a great machine the Z4 is already a sought after classic sports car for the auto enthusiast!

We took our newly purchased Toyota Prius to VA for a shake down cruise. Found some minor issues. Called Chris. Brought the car in, they gave us a loaner, then knocked out the work. Thanks to ALL! Wife and I are happy!
