As a BMW driver for decades (318i, 328i), I reluctantly switched to Tesla when the Model S became the first practical EV. I wanted to drive electric more than I wanted to be loyal to (IMHO) the best line of sedans and coupes on the planet. I loved the S, too, but after 12 years it was having problems, support was rotten, and it was time for a replacement. Fortunately, all the manufacturers have EVs now. Although I test drove several other makes, I was delighted to see that the BMW i4 was my favorite. When it started to look like tariffs were going to increase prices, I abbreviated my search and went for the Bimmer. By chance, the dealer had a 2024 shop loaner available with low mileage and a lower price than a brand new 2025 so I leased it. (Incidentally, it was less expensive in absolute dollars than the Model S was in 2012!) I'm glad I "pulled the trigger" when I did and I love the car. Handling is excellent. It "feels like" a BMW despite slightly lighter steering than my last 328. It's feature-rich and I'm still learning the ancillary controls. I'm OK with CarPlay although Tesla's own infotainment system is better. The driver assist is good and automatic stop/start in heavy traffic is a joy although I still prefer steering myself under better conditions. I think most BMW drivers will feel likewise. I haven't used self-parking other than a demo in the dealer's lot but I promise to try it. I don't expect to need a lot of service - it's an EV - but at least BMW takes phone calls! The cell phone app is better than Tesla's and it's NOT the only way to schedule service. My only real objection is the location of the charge port at right-rear which will make it awkward to use short-corded Tesla Superchargers even once BMW concludes a deal with Tesla. The i4 has more "hard" controls - which I prefer for eyes-on-the-road driving - than Model S but its voice recognition commands are more limited. Its navigator has the same voice as Model S but gives more frequent bum steers. All in all, I'm very glad I made the switch. And I didn't give money to the Little Dictator who works for the Big Dictator!

The vehicle was beautiful when they pulled it up. It was just what we were looking for. Unfortunately, opening the doors exposed a strange smell which had not been taken care of. Smelled like some vape flavors. Eric also smelled it. Wife is highly allergic to this so we had to pass. We have been looking for some time and hoped this was the one.

My i4 eDrive 40 is a great car. Plenty of pep. Comfortable interior. Quality construction. GPS/Radio Controls/various interfaces ... not so good. You have to know what you are looking for, and ofter, go down too many levels to get to the proper input/output. More switches and dials would be better.

I had been browsing for an upgrade to my LR and came across Beemer Haus on Auto Trader, sent an inquiry on a vehicle and within a short amount of time Nick reached out to me to schedule a test drive. I showed up within 30 minutes of them closing on a Saturday and he was more than happy to grab the keys and head out. There were 2 vehicles on line I was interested in, one of which wasn't on the lot yet. He assured me he'd let me know when it arrived and hold it so I could come see/test drive. Sure enough he texted me Monday when it arrived, and scheduled a Tuesday walk thru and test drive. My only contemplation was to either keep or trade my current LR. I met with David the owner who was fair with negotiating and worked with Jordan for finance. This team is friendly and pressure free. They appear to be fair in their pricing of vehicles understanding the profit margin to flip these cars they don't seem to be price gauging even with watching my trade in get priced and sell within the week or so of my purchase. I've had EVs since 2012. First was a Nissan Leaf, then a VW eGolf, then an Audi A3 etron. Those were all outstanding cars, but compared to all of those the i4 eDrive40 is in a different class. It's very responsive and quick. It feels extremely high-tech and plays Hans Zimmer iconic sounds. When we've gone on longer trips, consistently gets 280-300mi / 100% charge. Unless we're on a trip, I only charge it to 80% and it gets about 220-240mi on a charge. It's amazingly smooth and solid, and the interior is top notch. The M-Sport Pro package with custom color and leather made it at the top of the price range, so from a value perspective it seems excessive.

My wife and I recently traded in a 2014 Lexus and purchased a new model. Our dealership experience was excellent and our sales associate, Nevena Evtimova, was even more so. We love this car, we have a 2003 BMW 325 wagon, wife wanted something bigger that sat higher. We already had a truck, so X5 was too big but X3 was too small. Interior is great, I call it the luxo-barge. Seats are super comfortable, interior layout is (typical BMW) great, plenty of room, it's great for an 8+ hour drive or long days in the car (done both). The split hatch/trunklid is really handy, I don't know why some of the early reviewers didn't like it. It is taller, heavier than a sedan and has airbag springs in the rear and you notice that in the handling, but it it can still tell it's a BMW, so even with the extra weight and height, it still handles a lot better than non-BMW sedans. The N55 (six cylinder) has plenty of power (the car can get out of it's own way) and makes it fun to drive. The 8 cylinder would have been awesome but one in our price and mileage range wasn't available. The icing on the cake - people either like this car (some) or they hate it (more) so the resale on them isn't good. The one we got was a lease return, so it was regularly maintained and low mileage and we ended up with a $72,000 MSRP car for less than half that. Maintenance hasn't been bad, moonroof cover broke, got it covered under warranty and I'm about to replace a thermostat, water pump (proactive while I'm changing the thermostat) and parking brake module. If you've got older BMWs, you'll have to get new tools (lots of external Torx) and Bentley's doesn't publish manuals for them. Still pretty straightforward maintenance, but the parts are expensive, even through Pelican Parts. Oh, only bad thing is the run flat tires - we've been through two full sets in about 3 years. They handle like crap and the rears wear heavily on the inside, resulting in two tire failures while driving, luckily the car still handled well. The wear isn't obvious unless you specifically look on that inside rounded edge, not where you would normally expect to find heavy wear. I would recommend standard tires, a can of fix-a-flat and an air pump (wife wants the run flats in case she's alone or I would change to the standard tires).

I recently bought this car and can’t get enough of it. Gas mileage is amazing and the power is unbelievable coming from the 2.0 4cyl. Steering and handling are spot on....... Can’t say enough about the looks and the quality of the build. It really lives up to its name “The Ultimate Driving Machine “

Although an EV, BMW it is in fact the Ultimate Driving machine. Very fast from 0-60 3.7s excellent HP 536 TQ 586. With the booster on it will quick you back in your seat.

I bought a 2015 with over 100K miles on it. I love the interior and the handling, and the utility of having a 3 series BMW with a hatchback. There's loads of room in the back seat and in the trunk area. I wish I could update the tech - it's based off v3.0 of wireless, so most of the built-in tech does not work. The car was well cared for, so I hope I can get through a few happy years of ownership without the notorious large BMW repair bills...

I went there looking for a Jeep I saw on Cars.com and they got me a carfax report and test drive (a good long freeway and street drive) as soon as I arrived. They were extremely friendly and honest. They admitted that the Jeep had been in an accident but proved that it was only a fender bender. As a matter of fact, they guarantee not to sell cars with any type of frame or flood damage. They even replaced the battery for free because they noticed some corrosion on the connection when I was inspecting it. They let me look the car up and down, inside and out as much as I wanted. They HARDLY charge ANY fees! It's great. The taxes and fees together were only 10 percent of the list price. Best customer service I've ever had at a dealer! 4cyl turbo engine is quick and smooth. Best navigation I have seen and great console improvements . Sleek design makes the BMW the best coupe in the luxury market.

Have put about 12,000 miles on a used 94ah Rex over the past year. It's a unique little car to be sure, with some substantial upsides and downsides. First the good stuff: It's a fantastic city / mall / school drop off / tight quarters car. Very quick under 50 mph, turning radius of a bike, only a bit larger footprint than a Mini. Just a fun little car to zip around in. The interior fits 4 pretty comfortably, and it's a pretty open, airy feeling despite being so small. Not cramped at all. I really like the styling as well, and it's on the cheap end of cars we've owned over the past 15 years. It's been pretty reliable for the most part, but the Rex does not seem to like to sit for long periods without use. It threw codes several times during the first couple months, all of which cleared and did not immediately recur. I believe it sat at the dealer for many months prior to me purchasing it. After that initial spat of codes, it's worked flawlessly. Range is fine for around town, I would not attempt long distance travel, though you COULD do it. I have always charged it at home, with a level-2 charger I installed myself. Electricity is about 1/4-1/3 the cost of gas under this setup, so it's very efficient. Now the not so good: The rear tires burn up fast, are unique to the car (no other car uses the same tire size), are kind of expensive, and honestly, the traction isn't great. Plan on replacing tires every 12-15k miles, if you make it that far. It's particularly bad in the snow. There's no way to reduce the lift off regen, so it will drag its rear end. You end up left foot braking when it's really slick to make sure you engage the ABS. Do not plan on this being your snow car. The range also goes down significantly in the winter. It'll do >100 miles of around town driving in the summer months, but that's more like 60-70 when it gets cold. Has to run the heat pump, heat the battery, etc. It's only got 4 seats (2 in back). A tiny middle seat probably makes more sense, though it would only be for small children. The BMW connected app subscription is basically a requirement to connect to your utility and get credit for charging off peak (if it's available in your region). It's $120 a year, which is typical German luxury xx. The Odd: The exterior is...different. It sure does attract attention. I guess to each his or her own. Rear suicide doors work pretty well, but they come with a bit of a learning curve. At least people can get in back without front passengers having to get out or bend over. It has a scooter engine, and it sounds like it too! My take: It's a great 3rd car for a family that does a lot of pick up / drop off, grocery-getting, commuting, etc. in a relatively small radius (say 20 miles max, each way). Under that setup, it's very cheap to run, it's fun to drive, it fits everywhere, and it's a nice place to spend time. As the only household car, forget it. As the 2nd car in a 2-car household? Only if you don't spend a ton of time in freezing weather / snow. But in a household where it competes with an M2, an Odyssey and a Cayenne, I put more miles on the i3 than any of the other cars over the past year. So I clearly like the darn thing! Other Recommendation: Get bimmercode app and code on a function that allows you to manually start the Rex at any time the battery is under 75%. Waiting til it hits 6% to turn on automatically isn't going to run it often enough to keep it happy. You don't want to run the battery that empty very often either.

I used Costco Auto Program to purchase my first Subaru. Process was easy. The folks at the dealership were friendly and helpful. It wasn't adversarial some car buying experiences I've had. The Love Encore redelivery was helpful in understanding the features in my car. Overall, the smoothest, most relaxed car purchase I've experienced.

This is a surprisingly fun car. We bought it mainly to not feel guilty running the AC in car line - but got to appreciate it in various situation. The range isn't great, the flimsy tires need getting used to - but for what a used (ideally certified pre-owned) one goes for - I really don't think you can go wrong. Unless you live in a city and have good places to charge - it probably is not a suitable car as your only car - but it's a great addition if you don't depend on it for a 300 mile drive. Accelerations is fun, the car is a lot bigger inside than it looks. It has a little bit of a theme park ride feel to it at times.

Best first electric car I've owned! Love it. Fast and fun to drive. I love out-running the traffic. Quiet. It's so quick! Very safe! I love the range extender. I go everywhere and anywhere. Comfortable. Charges in 4 hours with my 220V charger. High performance.
