I’ve owned two 2015 X5D’s - daily driven for 7 years for a combined 173,000 miles (sales job), I averaged 29MPG on each tank in mixed driving (38+mpg on hwy using renewable diesel in CA), and it’s been so much more reliable than any gas car I’ve owned… The only car that compares in reliability is two BMW 328 diesels I’ve owned - I’m not going back to gas cars. I may consider Cayenne diesel as the only other alternative daily driver, otherwise I’ll stay with X5 diesels.

This 4000 lb beast maneuvers like a sports car. As someone who's always been passionate about cars, I leaned towards vehicles like the 3 series coupe or Audi A5. However, when the need for family space arose, SUVs felt dull. Then I got behind the wheel of the X5. It's a revelation—you truly don't have to compromise. There's ample space, exceptional handling, and a range of engines from powerful to downright exhilarating (like the X5M).

I cannot believe that BMW put a 4 cylinder with turbo in an X3. It is the single problem I have with my car. otherwise it is perfect. The 6 cylinder in my 2005 was Awesome!!!!! BMW stands for Performance, GIVE IT.

My x drive diesel gives me 14.5 - 15km per liter which is exceptional and handles like a sports car. Run flats are hard but not an issue. There seems to be a issue with the engine mountings as both x2 cars I had and have, have had to have them replaced with the new design engine mountings. No major issues.

Got an oil change and my rep was Angelina and she was very nice and professional as usual, she has been my Rep for the last few oil changes, she applied coupons for my service and I am very satisfied.

The F30 design when not M Sport is muted, but when you get the M Sport package and all the goodies, it becomes the sports car that BMW intended. It just hit 100,000 and is starting to show wear with rattles from the dashboard and an increase in road/wind noise due to aging weatherstripping. Easy fix! I can say that with FBO that this car has been reliable - nothing major has broken and left me stranded. Sure, due to adding more power it has gone through spark plugs faster but you pay for that when you give it ~70hp more than factory. After upgrading the clutch and cooling system, I am completely worry free on this vehicle. If you want a comfortable cruiser, this car is not it. If you want a sports car, this is what you go for. They can be equipped with most any tech feature one would like - from HUD, Navigation, Parking Distance Control, Bluetooth, etc

Absolutley one of the best cars I ever owned. BMW is the power Period. Mine is styled to the max with carbon fibers and sport wheels and so on. We love this car, we have a 2003 BMW 325 wagon, wife wanted something bigger that sat higher. We already had a truck, so X5 was too big but X3 was too small. Interior is great, I call it the luxo-barge. Seats are super comfortable, interior layout is (typical BMW) great, plenty of room, it's great for an 8+ hour drive or long days in the car (done both). The split hatch/trunklid is really handy, I don't know why some of the early reviewers didn't like it. It is taller, heavier than a sedan and has airbag springs in the rear and you notice that in the handling, but it it can still tell it's a BMW, so even with the extra weight and height, it still handles a lot better than non-BMW sedans. The N55 (six cylinder) has plenty of power (the car can get out of it's own way) and makes it fun to drive. The 8 cylinder would have been awesome but one in our price and mileage range wasn't available. The icing on the cake - people either like this car (some) or they hate it (more) so the resale on them isn't good. The one we got was a lease return, so it was regularly maintained and low mileage and we ended up with a $72,000 MSRP car for less than half that. Maintenance hasn't been bad, moonroof cover broke, got it covered under warranty and I'm about to replace a thermostat, water pump (proactive while I'm changing the thermostat) and parking brake module. If you've got older BMWs, you'll have to get new tools (lots of external Torx) and Bentley's doesn't publish manuals for them. Still pretty straightforward maintenance, but the parts are expensive, even through Pelican Parts. Oh, only bad thing is the run flat tires - we've been through two full sets in about 3 years. They handle like crap and the rears wear heavily on the inside, resulting in two tire failures while driving, luckily the car still handled well. The wear isn't obvious unless you specifically look on that inside rounded edge, not where you would normally expect to find heavy wear. I would recommend standard tires, a can of fix-a-flat and an air pump (wife wants the run flats in case she's alone or I would change to the standard tires).

I recently bought a 2014 BMW X5 from Hue - he was very attentive and helpful. I had a 3rd party inspection completed prior to purchasing and they gave good marks for the car. I have received many compliments on how new the car looks despite being over 10 years old. The owner, Kal, offered top-dollar for our trade-in and even offered us fair money for an older car. The purchase process went very smoothly with Trice, and the dealership was very responsive when I needed some help with a trailer hitch. I purchased this car in 2017 it was a high mileage off lease corporate vehicle, 78K miles to be exact. Outside of normal wear and tear, the only issues I've had was/is a gasket somewhere that made smoke on the interior coming through the vents and my amplifier went out on me. The car now has a few miles under 200K and still runs like a dream.

It is due to my age the ultimate driving machine, the performance and fuel efficiency are fantastic it is what you expect from a BMW. The only thing I don’t have anything good to say is the ultra expensive of the dealers maintenance cost unless you have some really good mechanic to see your car and retired that I am you spend a fortiune paying for service no other complain.

This car has plenty of room. Heated steering wheels and heated back and front seats. Great instrumentation. Conformable ride. Its has an Eco Pro mode which works great for efficient dynamics and fuel efficiency.

2020 X1 w/sport seats and convenience package, purchased in 2023. Positive notes: It's a true BMW: sure-footed, agile, and no shortage of power when needed. It feels remarkably glued to the road despite its small size. Handles as well as my former 3 series and is just as fun to drive. Storage space is good. Ergonomics are good once you figure out all the technology. Negatives: Ride is a bit bumpy, even for a sporty car, which is apparently caused by the run-flat tires. If I was buying new, I'd get standard tires and a real spare, which fits in the storage space in the back. Sensatec seats are hot. In retrospect, I'd hold out for leather. Overall, I recommend this car if you're looking for something small, practical, full-featured and sporty.
