I?m not sure how I didn?t notice the air compressor during the test drive but regardless, I bought the car and I do love it so far! To be fair Alex did mention a noise from the AC but again I didn?t hear it during the test drive.

Austin did a quick and efficient job in getting my annual service done quickly as well as replacing the tires. Also, I thought I had left my laptop bag in the loaner car and both Austin and Jordan both went and checked for me and Jordan even checked the security cams to verify if I had left it at the dealer. The car shares its Mini Cooper developed chassis with the 1 series, X1 and X2 vehicles. In the M235i format this thing is exceedingly quick with a 0-60 of 4.4 seconds at sea level. The exhaust is playful with constant growls and pops it exudes a more youthful spirit when compared to larger BMWs. The interior is very comfortable and spacious despite the size of the car. The suspension is tight and poised during corners, it is a baby M so don’t expect the soft dampening of standard BMWs. Every time I start this up it pops and bangs, brings a smile to my face. Recaptures the feeling of BMWs from 20 years ago when they were smaller and more driver focused.

The sales person made it clear she was not paid on commission and so I knew her input was not motivated to sell me a higher priced vehicle for her self interest. The 2023 BMW 530xe PHEV hits the sweet-spot for what I want in a vehicle: 1) with up to 21 e-miles on a full charge I have enjoyed 100% electric driving for almost all my day-to-day trips (in the past year I’ve only filled the gas tank to our 530xe about 3-4 times), 2) Easy road-trips with no interruption to wait-around for my car to charge, just fill the tank with gas and keep going. I’m just not ready to go electric-only because the technology and charging infrastructure just isn’t there (until it’s as quick and easy to get a full electric charge as it is to fill your gas tank (in just 3-5 minutes), I’ll happily enjoy my 530xe PHEV. It’s literally the best of both worlds. Also the 530xe is stylish (I get unsolicited comments often), seats are comfortable on long road-trips and car is sporty to drive. Plus the back seat is comfortable too — often not the case in other vehicles. I’ve throughly enjoyed my 2023 530xe with no mechanical problems or issues.

This is a very comfortable vehicle. However, the plastic on the driver's seat, covering the seat 💺 controls will detach from the seat. Nevertheless, it's a wonderful automobile to own.
