1. BMW has relinquished transmission service, WHY? They DO NOT make their transmissions and the builder, another German company does and has a full service recommend sheet, with miles and correct fluids, et al. Now that's a load of crap. All transmission need servicing like any part with fluid traveling through it! So when your Trany goes out, you are looking a $4000+ easy, Thanks BMW for that PLANNED OBSELENCE! 2. No dip stick and access to change your oil or the very small oil gasket, NOT THE OIL FILTER, will cost you over $1000 in labor, TO ACCESS and a $14.08 part! 3. Ridiculous depreciation the minute you drive off the lot. I can buy a 2022 X7, retailing north of $95,000 for around. $50,000 and CPO/Certified with around 35-45,000 miles. 4. Very fun to drive, quality feel, twin turbo power I like, the profile is amazing on my 2017 X5. Don't like the body style changes. 5. You pay $65,000 or more and have to pay extra, with one package to get the Harmon Kardon stereo. xxxx, for that much in the price tag I should get the Bowers and Wilkins. 6. 9.5 and 10.5 wheels and tires make it look "mean". But no rotation and you will wear out the front tires in about 25,000 miles. Run flats are harsh and do not last. So, get an "S" model and gain gas mileage, rotate and balance tires and unless you live in a cold climate, the XDrive is a waste of additional sticker shock. of money. 10. The interior colors, mine is brown leather, are nauseating, at best. Orange looking leather, white leather-are you kidding me? And, the old standby Black!

It's all about the B58 in the M40i. I dinged it one star on comfort because this little SUV rides quite "sporty" even in Comfort mode. I absolutely love this about the car, but I could see how some would feel this is too harsh as it is not a luxurious, cushy ride. But tuck this little beast into a fast corner and it's just...wow! This little German SUV is a sleeper. While the X3M is very nice, the M40i is the perfect balance in my opinion. BMW has really stepped up their game in the X3.

Love it. Car is comfy, quick and the wonderful B58 Twin-Scroll Turbo I6 makes all the right noises! Awesome daily driver. Period! Interior has all of the amenities you could ever ask for. Ride is luxury-oriented but also can grip & RIP through the corners, almost as well as any sports sedan out there pretty much.

So my wife Christine and I were looking for a specific used car for our 16 year old daughter Angelina’s first car! STAR AUTO MALL: Worst car dealer EVER! I bought a 2017 BMW X3. They never checked the car! I had problems immediately! I called, emailed & texted... Star Auto Mall would NOT return my calls, texts or emails! I went to BMW dealer, and they found lots of issues! Wires hanging down, tires rubbing, etc. It cost me $480 to fix it! I billed Star Auto Mall, and it looks like they're just chucking me the finger!! AVOID these incompetent thieves! I was shopping for a good used car when I stopped by Mira auto sales. I saw a 2013 Ford Edge that I really liked. After an easy talk with them I was able to get the car at really good price. The car is perfect and I’ve Been driving it for 6 months now and no issues at all. The folks over there are easy to deal with and were very helpful in answering all my questions honestly and professionally. I highly recommend checking them out before you buy your next car. I went through a bunch of used car dealerships while looking for a descent car to buy but the quality, the pricing and the courteous staff made my decision much easier.

Fantastic vehicle with low maintenance. Still rides like new. Just had first incident with the passenger restraint light coming on the dashboard and will need to see what that’s about.

Fantastic customer service, on the phone and in person. Saw the car on-line in Central Florida and was contacted by Dan in a timely manner. He answered all my questions and was very professional. I flew up to Raleigh the next day and Dan arranged for transportation from the airport. Met with Dan and Dave at the dealership and was very impressed with them, a font of information about the car. Drove my 1995 Jaguar XJS off the lot after an hour, very happy with the purchase. Great drive back to Florida with the top down! I heartily recommend Dan and Dave and Atlas Motors if you need a reliable car at an honest price.

I frequently change cars because I love to learn and experience new vehicles. I bought a new 2020 RR Defender and traded it after 5 months for the X5. I wasn't really looking for a new car but fell in love with the X5 while accompanying a friend on a test drive. I really like that it handles like an ultimate driving machine. And the drive characteristics are extremely customizable. It's quiet, quick and comfortable. No squeaks or rattles - the RR had a few. It's a solid German example of automotive excellence.

We didn’t even have to ask about any issues because Mike went out of his way to point out little minor defects we may not have noticed otherwise... talk about honesty! He also offered a solution fo each minor cosmetic flaw. He and his staff graciously pulled out half a dozen cars for us to drive, telling us to take as long as we needed with each one. He bent over backwards to help, giving us his personal cell phone number to use should we have any further follow up questions. Absolutely amazing! I would’ve left this review even if we hadn’t purchased a car from him, but we did! He gave us an incredible deal and I got my dream car! Ibe had my car for almost 4 years I got it in highschool it is my first was got 2011 BMW X3 228i x-drive had 120k on it when I got it and now was 193k. I had no major issues besides replacing the coolant tank which was a quick fix and one of the gasket covers regular maintenance is just expensive but you know that before you buy. Great first car and super safe and reliable.

I love the car and at the same time I can't help to hate it. What I love about the car would be the luxurious interior, comfortable and quiet cabin, smooth ride, ease of access, and a few extra features that were put in as an add-on. What I don't like about this car would be the poor fuel economy for the 30i model, especially when compared to the B-58 engine. Apple carplay connection issues, no option for remote start unless I want to void warranty, and no option for the iDrive Recorder App. Exterior Styling - 8.5/10 Interior Styling - 9/10 Comfort - 9.5/10 Cargo space - 8.5/10 Driving smoothness - 9.5/10 Horsepower - 7/10 Fuel Economy - 3/10 It's been an overall fun car to get around in. It's easy to get in and out of, smooth on bumpy roads, and it is quiet. The fact that only 2022 models and newer offer remote start and iDrive recorder is a big disappointment. But I think my biggest disappointment would be the fuel economy. As I had the B-58 in the past and averaged out 11.5L/100km and in this X3 am averaging 13.5/100km which was worse than my pick up truck. I might not keep this car for long-term just because of how poor the fuel economy is.

This is an update from my February 1, 2019 review. I have now owned the vehicle for nearly seven years. I’ve personally driven nearly 20,000 miles in it. The vehicle now has nearly 50,000 miles on the odometer. I purchased it certified pre-owned from a BMW dealership. I have maintained the vehicle to manufacturer specifications. I have only paid for routine maintenance. I have paid for zero repairs. My previous review is confirmed. Full disclosure, two repairs were covered under warranty by the BMW dealership when I purchased the vehicle and one other repair was performed by a different BMW dealership due to their mistake during a routine service.

I bought my 2nd BMW X5, this time with BMW of Raleigh and honestly I would buy car again from this dealer. I got the best deal, best service and treated respectfully. My sales rep is Nader, polite, helpful and easy going. He gave me deal even without asking. He saved more than $5K for me and no pressure. Thanks to Nader!
