Incredibly reliable. Even the Northstar motor for these were good. Most comfortable car I've ever driven, and I can't wait to buy another. Bumps aren't noticeable and standard options are fantastic, and it's a completely bulletproof car. A real tank, too. Got in an accident and he totalled his car. The Buick didn't even have a dent!

What can I say---it's a Buick! The ride and overall driver and passinger comfort is unsurpasse ed and even though this vehicle is some 12 plus years old it behaves like a new one. Course maintaining and showing it TLC helps.

Worked on one for a friend and this car is smooth and easy to work on. It's big and roomy and very stylish even today. The only thing I seen that I did not like was it doesn't get good gas mileage and it's a V6. Kinda to much weight for a V6 to be pulling but once you get it on the highway it's definitely a cruiser and smooth.

I've got a 2006 lucerne cxs. Bought it with 20,000 miles on it in 2006. It now has 216,000 on it. Replaced all shocks [sport suspension]at 160,000 replaced alternator at 190,000 and water pump at 180,000. All where replaced before going out . Best car I've ever had and it drives and rides like new. With 30 mpg on hwy.

This car took great care of my mother. It was used little, low miles and leather seats are extremely comfortable and look new. Passenger and back seats were rarely used. Look great and drive in style, this car has many more miles to go.

This Lucerne is my second. I LOVE that car! Drives great, handles well in the snow, has always been reliable! 245k miles later...I still love her! I did buy a new car because I drive a lot.... I went with a jeep Cherokee only because buick doesn't make sedans anymore and the enclave which i loved... is too much car for me and my dog.

There was no pressure, even when we ultimately decided this wasn't the right time to make this particular purchase. The overall experience was refreshing. Not entirely sure if we are differentiating between the CXL,CXS, or other models. But I have a Buick Lucerne CXL V8 with a north star engine. I’ve put over 207,000 miles on it and the only major repairs I’ve had to do, is a timing re adjustment, and a suspension rebuild. Granted I live in an area with tons of potholes and I’m sure that had a major factor in it. Either way this is currently the most reliable vehicle I’ve got and have ever had. No engine rebuilds, no major body problems, except for rust in some weird places. I’ve got no underbody rust, but I’ve got some rust in the middle of the 2 drive side doors. Plenty of boot space. And plenty or legroom.

I replaced the 2008 model I had owned which had 207,000 miles on it. Very glad to have the same car but newer and a few extra features thrown in. I did have a fair share of repair bills though! Lots of $ if a window stops working or a headlight goes out.

Only trouble I’ve had is with the relay in the rear fuse box under the back seat.. I found a video on YouTube regarding this issue. It should be recalled. Very poor design in placing the fuse box. Had to replace the fuse box, and modify my seat to not press against the cover which burns out the relay in the fuse box. Should’ve been a shorter relay.
