I bought this car used in 1982 and I owned it for 5 years. I had the L 48 350 cu. in. engine and 3 speeds auto. I loved this car. It was a head turner, fast, comfortable and surprisingly good on gas. I averaged around 26 miles per gallon on highway. The only problem was the factory calipers. It was a common problem, they rusted inside the cylinders and caused a spongy brake pedal. Had to replace them with stainless steel ones. Otherwise, it was a very fun, beautiful and reliable car.

The entire team at GR Auto provided the best customer service. I received updates and pictures and a great video of the car. Great team from Sales to finance.

I visited Preferred Auto on a limb on Saturday searching for a very specific GMC Acadia (I'm very picky). I had an appointment Friday. I called a few times to ask how its going. The reply was should be the end of the day. Don?t know what that means. I arrived the dealer at 3:00 O?clock. I ask what was done had how long it would be. The reply was they had the driver side mirror completed. How ever nothing was done. The service rep came to me with there head down. I knew nothing was completed. The Rep I could tell felt unhappy about the issue. However, the Rep did manage to get me a rental. That was good. I know things can go wrong at times. I was glad the to the extra day to have time to make repairs properly. I had another issue for a service performed on an oil change back some time. After the oil change, I brought the car back and explained I had a humming sound coming from the vents. I approached their man mechanic in thing they were not going to believe me. He immediately said I know what that is. I was relived. He said when they looked at the filter, putting the cover back on at times is not properly positioned. They repositioned it; it did sound better but not completely. I drove to for a while still noise. When I took the truck back for the Mirror swap, cabin filter, Air filter, tire sensors, etc. I ask them to look for something a normal They found a screw that had been broken on the air filter housing. She then proceeded to tell me she got a quote in replacing the unit. I said wait this was an issue for back when I had the first oil change. Then she asks the manager, they are going to replace the filter unit. Over all the rep was trying to get everything completed. We did have a difference of opinion when checking out. I like being very detailed in asking questions to verify all has been completed. I wanted to ask the technician some questions to verify all is completed. I want to test the mirror for proper working conditions. Did not get this. Don?t think that?s too much to ask. Over all the Service rep did a good job. However, I did walk away feeling a little uneasy.

This was a long distance transaction, so all I had to go by was photographs and information on a 25 year old vehicle. They made the transaction very smooth with great communication and timing. And it turned out that the vehicle exceeded my expectations in every way. The car in person is even nicer than their pictures.

Here is a review of my start to finish process of buying a car from Gateway Classic Cars, Ft. Lauderdale: ----- 1. The sales people who you work with are not on site. They're working remote so they don't have eyes on the car. ---- So, 2. You'll want to be connected with someone on site who can start and drive the car, provide a walkaround video, pictures of whatever you want and give their input. I worked with Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location for my purchase and he was outstanding with helping me to know the car before making an offer. He is the reason that this is a 5 star review. -------- 3. Hauling: They'll get you a quote for hauling the vehicle. I chose Nexus Transport myself to use. They were a bit cheaper and top rated by Forbes. That went just fine. --------- 4. These cars are all on consignment. So, I feel that you have to be a little more careful because you have another party who may not have disclosed things to Gateway. Best practice is to get a pre-buy done from someone like Lemon Squad. That being said, I was so comfortable with my deal, took the risk and waived the pre-buy. And in my case, the Prowler is a mint gem and I have no concerns after receiving it. Also, there is a common thought then you buy a car like this, you should budget 10% or so of the price for maintenance right after you get the car because stuff always comes up, otherwise, don't buy a used car. --------5. Since they're on consignment, they have commissions they charge the seller. As a buyer, I don't care if I see a commissions line on the purchase agreement. As long as my out the door number was what I offered, that's fine. --------6. I wired money to them and within a few hours, I had all the fully executed paperwork back in my hands. Title took about 3 weeks to receive by UPS. And the folder had everything I needed to register the car in my state. Wow! Thank you Barbara! ------ 7. So here is what breeds loyalty. Alex at the Ft. Lauderdale location made sure the car was completely ready to be picked up including accessories that were bubble wrapped. The car was supposed to be picked up at Noon on Saturday, plenty of time before they closed at 5pm. He stayed until the truck arrived...very late....AT 1:30am Sunday morning!!!! (Otherwise, it would have sat until Tuesday). I cannot believe he did that for me. I received my car loading video at 2am. That's unbelievable service that deserves more than 5 stars. ------- Summary: I'd have zero issues with buying from Gateway again....they just operate in a different dealership style than what I'm used to, which is just fine.

What a great experience buying a truck. I'm from Pittsburgh, Pa. I saw a truck that i liked on line at Motion autosport dealership.The salesman was named Mike. He was very professional and was very knowledgeable. He always called back with any question i asked. I feel that I got a great deal and the truck was show room condition. I bought 2011 Honda Pilot EX in 2016 from East Coast Auto Source. It had bullet holes in the body and some shot out windows. I repaired the bullet holes, and had the other repairs completed. Car ran well and it needed some other work. Nine years later, we have 211,000 more miles on the Pilot. It was a good price and East Coast Auto Source was upfront and honest about the repairs and had the car shipped to my mechanic. I would bought another car in 2024 from them and I am happy with the deal.
