Used Chevrolet Corvette Base for sale near Monee, IL

A friend recommended Chignoli to me for a used car. He has bought all his cars from them for decades. Now, I plan to buy all my cars from them from now on. They don't push you to buy. I bought my 2007 Convertible Z51 3LT in October of 2024. It had 118,000 and now has just over 125,000 miles. This car was someone’s toy as it has a cold air Vararam intake and long tube headers, and has been very well cared for as well. It still looks and drives like new, not bad for an 18 year old car. My only knock on the car is the interior is a lot of plastic and kind of blah. The Center stack is right out of the GM parts bin, nothing special. Raising and lowering the top is as simple as releasing the center handle and pushing a button for up or down. Only the 3 LT does that little trick, the rest are manual. Performance wise, stock it was 5 HP shy of a C5 Z06, mine is making 505 at the wheels very similar to a C6 Z06. When you stomp that loud pedal you better be focused and right with Jesus. I kinda got in trouble when I bought it, my wife as not as excited as I was until we had our first date in the car, she forgave me and I bought her a convertible Mustang a month later.

I bought a Lexus LX570 from Greg. I was nervous as I never bought a car without driving it or over the internet. I got my 2007 C-6, in Atomic Orange, in 2020. I found out about it from my sister’s youngest son’s girlfriend, who also was my oldest grandson’s pre-school teacher. Her mom was the executor of her cousin’s estate and had moved the car from her cousin’s home to her farm. Yes, it was actually sitting in a barn with a dead battery and covered in dust and pigeon droppings. The interior looked brand new. This was because after putting a new battery in, I saw that this 13 year old beast had only 6300 miles on it! The owner, who had passed away in 2018, had traded her 1992 C-4 in on the ‘07, drove it a few times and parked it because having double the HP scared her to drive it. Long story short, I saw it, drove it, fell in love with it and got it for a song! Took it home and immediately gave it a bath, using a foam cannon and microfiber mitt of course. Four years later, I’ve put another 7K miles on it and I have no plans of parting with it anytime soon! The only drawback is the interior, which is pretty much the cheapest looking interior styling that resembles an old Chevette. Chevy gave the C-7 a complete overhaul of the interior design in 2014. However, the outside looks great, the handling is superb and the 6.0 LS-2 has gobs of HP and torque. Awesome find after being retired for a couple years and living the dream!

My is machine silver with competition gray wheels 1lt nice car . Only problem I have had and a lot more people have had with the C6 is the automatic automatic shifter gets stuck in park. A recalled that never happened.

After 63 years of driving, my 2006 C6 Corvette Base Convertible is my favorite car ever. Past sport cars include 3 versions of Mazda Miata, 14 Porsches (including 914/6, 1973 RS Carrera, 1967 911S soft window Targa, 1979 Turbo Carrera, and IMSA 914/6 track car). I dislike the Corvette weight, width in the garage, and lumbering response to the wheel, but the flatness in a turn and the throttle response are amazing. I find it absolutely beautiful to look at, and the auto transmission (6 Spd w/paddle shifters) is the first automatic I have enjoyed in a sport car. This is my first Corvette after all those Porsches, and I am amazed at the refinement and attention to detail in this car. Leather seats are fairly nice, but they are a little overshadowed by excess interior plastic. The black exterior blends with the black interior and leather, and softens the interior starkness somewhat, but the width of the door sill is an unusual inconvenience.

Mine is a forest green / tan top convertible with a manual tranny and LT4 engine. With 41 K on the clock and a boat load of oil change tickets in the console, I think it's got a lot of life left. Paid $20 K and have no regrets.

I've owned 1969,1982,1991, and currently 2004 Corvette. Hands down the 2004 is the BEST corvette I have ever owned. I have 33,000 miles on it and it still runs great and everything works as it should.

I recently purchased A 2018 Alpina B7 from Ray at Motor Cars Of Chicago. I find Ray to be honorable direct and stand up and we’ll do business with him again if I had any reservations about doing business with them before this transaction, they are all completely gone and yours should be too. It truly is an American dream car... fast, reliable, easy to maintain, quick response, surprisingly good gas mileage better than my Nissan XTerra, and most of all very affordable sports car in the market. Most maintenance can be done by an average DIYer and there's a glut of after market parts available everywhere. I have a convertible triple black and it gets admired every time I'm on the road. This is my first Corvette and with my age, probably not my last.

There's nothing like driving a Corvette, and the 1998 Corvette Pace Car is no exception. The interior is build for comfort with more than ample leg room for any sized person. The seats are adjustable and make even long trips a pleasure as they hug your body in comfort. The sound of the engine begs you to drive this car. There's nothing else like it. I've driven the most expensive sports cars and always go back to the Corvette. Having owned seven other Corvettes, the 1998 is on the top of my list.

I own I 2008 C6 very similar to the one in the Ad . Same color Crystal Red Metallic Tintcoat, convertible,Tan top, same two tone leather interior, Mine has 6 speed auto , heads-up display, 436 HP with dual note exhaust,Only 37000 miles, heated seats, I think they call this model the LT3 trim level with Z51 performance package . Love this car outstanding excellaration ,very dependable ,great bang for the buck. You get a lot of looks with top dropped. Only negatives would be that Corvette,s sit extremely low to the ground, not the easiest car to get into for a guy 66 and you have to be careful with steep driveways. Other than that a outstanding sports car.

I had my 2004 for 10 years. Great car and performance. At 6'2" the C5 provides me with comfort which its predecessors do not. Only issues have been the ignition switch a common problem which I changed out fairly easily, and the climate control lighting which I fixed by resoldering the board.

I was fortunate enough to find a one owner, garage kept, polo green, tan top convertible, 6 speed manual. 8200 orig mi!es! Its like a brand new car!!

I purchased my 2000 C5 dark bowling green in 2014 it only had 23,000 miles on it, today it has close to 200,000 miles I drive it the only upgrades that I've done is I put different Wheels that mimic the stock ones they're just one inch wider front and back, an air intake from K&N and a Cat-Back system from Flowmasters. I can't go anywhere where at least two people come up and comment on my car and no one can believe it's 23 years old I do keep it in good shape it is the original paint. Like any other vehicle you have little issues water pumps I change the air conditioning a leak in the rear end had to get a new alternator all the normal stuff for cars that are 23 years old no major failures. The performance on this car is fantastic it's fast a Corners well. And if I can keep my foot out of it it gets pretty good gas mileage for the most part. I will say if you plan to get one of these C5 Corvettes you have to be willing to work on the car if you want it to run the way it's designed has a ton of sensors all kinds of grounds there's a lot to it, but the joy and the fun that you get out of it is well worth it.

My 91 has just over 100k miles and still performs great. I’ve owned multiple domestic sports/muscle/pony cars and this one is my favorite. The L98 is very strong and reliable, 6-speed manual is very smooth shifting and from a rolling start, I’ll put it against anything just for the fun of it. The interior is very user friendly with all controls within comfortable reach, minimal to none squeaks and rattles. The heat blows perfectly on your knees/thighs on a cold morning when set to floor, instead of just your feet getting too hot as with anything else. I’d drive this car anywhere and not worry about getting back home.

Just purchased a red on red coupe 1996 LT4 with Z51 package and only 19K miles. Everything is in exceptional condition from the outside paint and body panels to the immaculate interior. Only one issue with switching the climate control from defrost mode and it's most likely a vac line issue.
