I needed a car with an automatic transmission because my knee was getting worse. I had a 2011 Cruze with a manual transmission and liked it but I traded it in for a 2019 Cruze. Going on six years now and I don't want another vehicle. Reliable? Very. I don't drive like a maniac and I keep up with maintenance. My usb port went kaput but I replaced it myself. My phone would not connect to the infotainment system. I fixed that by removing the fuse to the radio while it was on then turning off the car and then plugging it back in. It rebooted the system. I garage my Cruze and watch where I park it, so no dents anywhere. I intend to keep this car for as long as possible.

We purchased our 2017 hatchback new in the summer of 2017. Our only expenses at 134,000 plus miles has been gas, regular oil and filter changes, tire pressure sensor and tires. A VERY reliable car with average mileage 34 mpg, max highway was 55 plus! And normal highway at 70 mpg of 43 mpg. No interior, exterior or mechanical issues or viewable wear. I wish Chevy still produced them for sale in U.S.A. as we would gladly buy another. No other new vehicle this size, mileage, amenities at this price.

We simply take very good care of "PIP" as we call him, and he has and does take very good care of us. The key is keep up with all of the maintance before it is needed! Great car overall, only 41, 767 Miles!

I owned a generation 2 Chevy Cruze hatchback for the past 8 years. Other than routine maintenance it never had a failure. Excellent fit and finish. Incredible gas mileage with a peppy turbo charged engine. The only negative is that GM no longer produces these highly reliable vehicles.

I bought my 2016 Chevy Cruze LT in 2019 with 19,000 mi on it. I've now had it for 6 years and with minimal maintenance I now have $270,000 mi on the car. I'm 71 years old I have a lead foot and I love the cruze. Still driving that car today and now looking to buy another one. It's too bad Chevrolet did not continue to make the cruze.

I bought this car with 8,900 miles, I have put over 15,000 on it, it sits around 30,500 miles now I haven’t had any issues with it at all and is been driven in long distances from Texas to Montana and so on Now I doo get a few people say this car is crap and unreliable But this one is different, I recommend this car 100%

So far this 2019 Cruze I just bought 2 weeks ago, everything is great , nice body style, great on gas, I had a 2007 Chev Cobalt that my brother bought from me ,that has more pickup cause of it being a larger engine 2.2, but thats the only difference. I have always owned GM, I tried out a 2020 Elandtra andv the quality is much better with the Cruze. My brother will probably have the 2007 Cobalt for a while since it has only 166470km on it These cares are fantastic Cruze or Cobalt and would recommend either to anyone, but get it Crown sprayed on the bottom cause these cars are all bad for rocker panel rotting out. If you Oil yearly, these cars will last for yearsand I mean 15-20 plus years if taken care of

I had a 2017 Cruze manual and loved it. A careless driver rear ended me and sent me into another vehicle; totaled it. By the grace of Almighty God and a great GM design I walked away without a scratch. I went right out and bought my 2018. Dynamic Blue LT. Comfortable, zippy, easy driver, lots of toys. Great on long trips, HUGE trunk for travel gear, great gas mileage. Great 4 wheel disc brakes. I don't care for the auto-stop but I can get over that. It sits a bit low so my wife who had a stroke recently has a hard time getting out of the passenger side.

I have a 2016 LT RS with 70k miles on it. It is my daily driver. I just never had to drive very far for work. My only issue with this car is that I need to use higher octane fuel in the spring/summer. If I do not then it drives so slow when using the AC. It also jerks from time to time when coming to a stop. That only happens in the warmer months. Other than that I have no real issues with it. I don't drive it hard.

I really liked my LTZ. I will admit that I had some issues, but I took care of it. The only mistake I made was not putting a Remanufactured engine in it after it had a head gasket repair. I drove it hard. Even with the issues I had. I would buy it again. I would get an Endurance Extended warranty. I had no issues with the transmission. I did have two window motors go out though. I had 188K miles on it. The reason I go rid of it was. I had an oil smell in it even after I had it repaired and the mechanic could not find it.

While it is small, I love my little car. Backseat is quite small but big enough for a couple of children. It has good pickup, fun to drive.

The battery finally crapped out and turned out the alternator was the cause. Despite them having a full schedule, they managed to work me in without notice. The part had to be ordered and my car will not be ready until tomorrow. They were unable to provide me with a loaner car or rental as they had none left. But that did not stop them from making sure me and my family were taken care of. I had to pick my bonus daughter up from daycare in Sugar Hill and I live here in Flowery Branch. They had their shuttle service take me all the way to the daycare-scoop up my little one and then drive us both all the way home in FB. Because of their above and beyond customer service I never felt stranded-even though I could have very much been totally SOL. They could have left my travel arrangements up to me and picking up a child from daycare in another area could have been a “me” problem that they could have left me to deal with myself. But no, they made sure me and my family was taken care of. I know dealerships charge more and maybe get some extra profit in comparison. But without a doubt, I have experienced ‘out of this world’ customer service with that particular dealership If you have a Honda, I would absolutely recommend them. All that said… I have also been to the Milton Martin Honda in Gainesville and had a polar opposite experience. Not gonna trash talk them. But just WOW and kudos to Mall of Ga Honda!! 💜 — at Honda Mall of Georgia. Jim Clizbe has been so helpful! Providing patience and exceptional customer service! I purchased a silver 2017 Chevrolet Cruze LT with the “convenience” package from Carmax in April of 2020 for about $16,000. It was a one owner vehicle, garage kept, and had only 24,000 miles. I got a great deal on it with financing and it is probably the best decision I’ve made in terms of buying a car. The exterior design is attractive, and modern. The interior is also very attractive and doesn’t have the cheap look and feel of many compact cars. It has all the technology you could want in a vehicle. Apple CarPlay/ responsive infotainment system, optional WiFi hotspot, OnStar, heated seats, push button start, stop/start system and more. When it comes to performance, it’s a mixed bag. It is more enjoyable to drive and has more power than other subcompact cars with 4 cylinder engines. I had a 2014 Nissan Sentra with 2.0 I4 and CVT transmission and it was the most boring driving experience imaginable. The 2017 Cruze is an improvement over that. The 1.4L Turbo engine is wonderful for highway driving. When cruising on a highway in a lower gear, you punch the throttle and the turbo kicks in, giving you plenty of reserve power for passing. Highway driving is where this car shines. When using regular unleaded fuel, you will experience some turbo lag, which can be jarring if you’ve never driven a turbocharged vehicle. Using Plus grade gasoline makes a noticeable difference in reducing turbo lag. On the other hand, the overall acceleration from 0-60 is disappointing and can feel sluggish when accelerating from a complete stop For reliability, I haven’t had any issues with the car yet. I am aware of the reputation of GM compact cars and the 1.4 turbo engine, but this car feels far more refined than any other subcompact vehicle I’ve ever owned. It feels like a quantum leap from the previous generation Cruze. So stick with the 2016-2019 models, as they don’t have as many reliability issues as the 2010-2015 models. As of today the car has 48,000 miles and with timely maintenance I’ve had no mechanical issues to date in the first 3 years.
