This review is for a 2.0 turbo AWD Equinox Premier that I bought new six years ago and put 95,000 miles on. Sadly, this 252 HP engine was discontinued shortly after I bought it. Only maintenance in its life were infrequent car washes, twelve oil changes, twelve tire rotations, four new tires at 66,000 miles, rear brakes at 72,000 miles, air and cabin filters replaced twice. I’m still on my original battery and original front brakes. It should be noted that I only use 5W-30 Mobil 1 oil and I change the oil myself religiously as the car tells me to, and rotate tires the same week. For disposal, I pour the oil back into the same container that it was purchased in, so I can say without a doubt that the car has never burned (or leaked) a single shot glass of oil in its entire life. I have never reset the odometer since the car left the factory, so I can say that it has averaged 26.2 miles per gallon over its life, terrific given the power that it has, though I will say that almost all of its miles are highway. That also explains why my mileage on my tires and brakes are so good. And I should add a comment on the auto stop/start that so many in here don’t seem to like. I love it.

The 2025 Equinox is a good solid SUV. My only complaint is it has electronic problems. Every time I take it in the dealer says that no codes can be found? It starts by itself! The engine surges when you are stopped at a light or stop sign, in the past month it surges as you apply the breaks to stop. Happens randomly, You never know when it will happen. Compass has quite working, speed zone indicator has gone out and the message that tells you that your phone is in the charger has disappeared! Other than the above issues the 2025 Equinox is great. 😊

We bought 2017 Chevrolet Equinox 4 cylinder. Pre owned with about 59k miles. It’s over 110k and we’ve had the oxygen sensor and catalytic converter replaced. Also 1 tire sensor. We’ve put the 2nd set of tires on the car yesterday. Always Michelin as recommended and brake shoes. I just have to say I still love my car. It’s paid for and I’ll drive her as long as I can.

I've been driving this car for nearly two years, have added 38k miles on it so far, and am now pushing 95K everything's been great, I haven't had any reliability issues, and everything is running smoothly. However, the gas mileage is nowhere near their claims, granted to don't drive conservatively but I'm getting anywhere from 19-22 mpg. Great car overall, especially for the price.

When you reply to a car search request for more photos it behoves you too include the vehicle and the dealership identifiers in your email, before demanding identirying info from buyers. This dealer accomplished that miniimum standard. Sadly, across the board dealers are so bad at this that carmax gets 4 stars.

No issues so far. All I’ve done other than tires and brakes is drivers front wheel bearing. Car drives very well. Maintained well too. By the book or Even better

2018 2.0T AWD with 172k miles on it and it is going STRONG. Bought it used with 31k miles. Zero major issues but I've maintained it religiously, oil and transmission oil changed regularly. Spark plugs and coils had to be switched out at 130k miles but that's expected. Transmission is running strong and still sounds as great as the day I bought it.

This was the absolute best experience I have had buying a car! Jordan, Alex, Mike and James were top notch professionals! From my first phone call to being handed the keys, their help was the best! They kept in touch by calling, texting and emailing! They made it very easy on my end when it came to paperwork and even walked me through some steps. Being a disabled veteran, this was a huge help!

Love the look and features, hate the 4 cylinder. Has no power. Very comfortable, smooth ride, handles nice, easy to park. Just don't try to pass unless you have plenty of room.

Nicely designed inside and out. Much mote cargo space than I thought it would have. It passed the road trip test too.. I have no complaints about it.

Father in Law bought this car towards end of 2008 with 18,000 miles on it, a 'GM program car' It was his 2nd vehicle so it didn't get used a bunch, he wanted the AWD option for winter driving. Fast forward to end of 2018 and we took possession of it with 79000 miles on it after he stopped driving. We have maintained it with regular oil changes, trans fluid changes, and have had some small repairs done (wheel bearings, power window motor replacement, that kind of stuff). It now has 215000 miles and engine and transmission still going strong. It's my husband's daily driver-70 miles a day- plus taking it on trips out of town. Metallic gray paint still looks great. Averages 24mpg. We are actually looking for another one with the 3.4 v6 with 100,000 miles or less, we've been so impressed with it.

After moving from Newton to the DesMoines area I had to find a more convenient dealership then Gregg Young in Newton. That dealership is Shottenkirk of Waukee. The last service I had done was with my grandsons truck. He had had the oil changed at Bob Browns in Urbandale. Yesterday it was warm and dry enough he was going to change it himself. Something he has done in the past. He couldn?t get the top off of the oil filter canister. It?s a 3016 GMC Canyon with the V-6. Called me for help. The top of the cap , you put a socket on it and turn the cap off , had twisted off and now broken the cap. I tried several times. Finally called Shottenkirk for help and told to bring it right in. They spent several hours and finally found the tool that would remove the top from the canister. Thinking at Bob Brown dealership that the tech in their service lane had torqued the top down. Needless to say this was a very expensive oil change. Also I sure that my grandson will now be using Shottenkirk as his preferred dealer/repair shop

I have done several long trips, 2 cross-country trips and in town commuting. It is a smooth comfortable ride, easy layout for gauges and controls, roomy, holds tons of cargo, and has great fuel economy (I have gotten up to 38 mpg on the highway going 70mph). All of these were listed in the "bad"- and this has not been my experience. Furthermore, my dad was side-swiped hit and run on the 210 freeway at 80 mph in his equinox and it took it like a champ. It is an easy smooth ride, I feel safe. I strongly recommend this vehicle- really the best bang for the buck- you get way more than you pay for.

My Dad has bought 4 cars from Toms before he over he passed away. I myself have bought at least 2 as far as I am concerned Toms auto is the only place to go for a Used car! So, as you can see, we have never been disappointed. This car I bought 3 days ago is the best yet! I had a saleperson that was great! Joe was my go-to guy at one of the lots where this vehicle I was interested in is they have four lots in Des Moines. It's always wanting to come up there and have the vehicle taken to another shop nearby and pay to have it inspected so I can find out what it needs and decide if I wanted this still purchase it with whatever it needed and that was no problem but they wanted me to fill out the credit app online and that was cool and Danny but there's no reason to pull a hard hard copy of my credit report if I'm coming up to go look at the vehicle because if there's more things that need to be done to where then I want to put into it I probably wouldn't do the deal and I'd have a hard thing on my credit report that I wouldn't be able to get taken off so other than that them telling me to go do that even though they knew I wanted to get it checked first was my only irritation. But something came up and I had to register another vehicle that I have in my personal access right now so I may have to wait a couple months before I want to go up there and do that but my job allows me to travel all over so I might get to go up there if I can this month and check out the vehicle to see if it's something that I really really want before someone else gets it so yes Joe I appreciate you working with me and look forward to consuming this business transaction soon. I bought my Equinox new off the lot in 2015 to be my winter driving car. I’ve had it for 10 years, and have driven it 60 miles round-trip in some of the worst winter weather in the lower 48 states. The Equinox held the road well on ice, in slush, and in deep snow on days that I was on the road before the snow plows. It has always been reliable and has never left me stranded. I’ve had no major issues in over 107,000 miles. I appreciate the cargo space which is much better than the newer models. I regularly recommend Equinoxes to my friends and family.

They went above and beyond helping me get approved to get a vehicle. They never gave up like other dealerships. I'm very grateful for everything they did. The vehicle I purchased is absolutely wonderful! Thank you guys again.

Great value with lots of standard features. Even though others in this class state low price online, I was unable to find those prices in our market. The equinox was about 4k less for the same features as Honda or Toyota or Kia or Ford.

I worked with a lot of good people and got a vehicle on payments and I got a 2011 Ford fiesta and the sales people there are awesome I think one guy name is Augie I believe he was a really good salesperson there so was the salesperson of Alexander I enjoy my vehicle that I just got for low payments. They did a good job

The car is a good gas saver however the performance is a little off. The system as far as coils or tune up will go out without warning . Also the tire sensors are off

I have owned 3 Chevy equinox and I like the way it looks and handles. It is a great family vehicle and very comfortable and safe. All 3 of my Equinox were the Premier class well worth the extra money and more features.

I bought an Equinox 2.4L and it turned out to be great. My wife crashed it, but we traveled far away and it never let us down. It's very comfortable for long trips. Unfortunately, my wife crashed it, but the insurance paid us very well.

I want people to know what a great buying experience I had at this dealership. I contacted 4 dealerships about 4 different cars, and Yassin F. was the only one that contacted me by phone, instead of a "canned" email. Yassin was so helpful and ran all over this large dealership (in the rain) to make sure things were just right. I would use Yassin again 100%. I hope he sells, sells, sells until all realize he is a role model. Shout out to Adam who answered my million questions!

My second Equinox. Love the size and performance for around town. Just wish there was air vents in the back seat. The interior is well layed out.

My wife and I have had several Equinox`s over the past 15 years. They have great comfort and space and are priced well. Very satisfied !!
