We bought 2017 Chevrolet Equinox 4 cylinder. Pre owned with about 59k miles. It’s over 110k and we’ve had the oxygen sensor and catalytic converter replaced. Also 1 tire sensor. We’ve put the 2nd set of tires on the car yesterday. Always Michelin as recommended and brake shoes. I just have to say I still love my car. It’s paid for and I’ll drive her as long as I can.

I bought a 2011 Equinox w/2Lt, with the 3.0L VVT. 264 HP engine and 18" wheels. This vehicle was T-boned on the passenger side door with air bag deployed and thus declared totalled by an insurance company from a previous owner. This vehicle was rebuilt and salvage title issued with approximately 38,000 miles on the odometer. This vehicle turned out to be a very good experience so far as I have had some repaint done and I replaced my wheel hubs, brake rotors, calipers and brake pads with high performance parts. With this power plant configuration, I can pull my droptail trailer loaded with 2 cruiser motorcycles to Sturgis with absolutely no problems whatsoever. I change oil every 6 months with under 3,000 miles on the oil. The engine does not use oil. I am a conservative driver and use extra caution while trailering. I added a Curt class IV hitch with no trailer brakes. Trailer payload on the scale is 1900-2200lbs depending on what bikes I decide to take. However, I would not have considered ANY Equinox with the xxx I4 Ecotec Engine. Those engines were built with a batch of bad timing chains from Mexico and GM ended up replacing a boat load of those engine. I am a mechanical engineer.

I bought my Equinox new off the lot in 2015 to be my winter driving car. I’ve had it for 10 years, and have driven it 60 miles round-trip in some of the worst winter weather in the lower 48 states. The Equinox held the road well on ice, in slush, and in deep snow on days that I was on the road before the snow plows. It has always been reliable and has never left me stranded. I’ve had no major issues in over 107,000 miles. I appreciate the cargo space which is much better than the newer models. I regularly recommend Equinoxes to my friends and family.

I contacted 4 dealerships about 4 different cars, and Yassin F. was the only one that contacted me by phone, instead of a "canned" email. Yassin was so helpful and ran all over this large dealership (in the rain) to make sure things were just right. I would use Yassin again 100%. After having a less than positive experience at a different Hyundai dealership, I was extremely relieved to find such a helpful and honest salesperson in Darko. I recently got a 2020 Equinox and there's a reason you see them everywhere. It's a great car that gets (somewhat) decent gas mileage. There's just a few issues I have with it. I've had to ride in the backseat of my Equinox a few times, whether I went out with friends and got slightly drunk or accidentally let my wallet go through the laundry. The point is… every time I have ever ridden in the backseat of the car, I always hit my head on the part where the roof meets the door. I'm 5' 10", which is an average male height, and yet, literally every single time I've ever been in the back seat of my car or in the back seat of an Uber ride that also drove a new-ish Chevy Equinox or similar car, I've hit my head on the headliner when the car turns. I also frequently use this car to transport my younger siblings who don't have a license or are in the process of getting one, and some of them have the same complaint. There's also not a lot of leg room in the back of the car, and again, I am about average male height. Two of my siblings are also around the same height as me. Also, this car is only five years old and the ABS light is already on. Now, this is not a huge deal, but my mom had an older GMC Acadia that she drove for about a decade before any warning lights appeared on her dashboard. Her car's ABS sensor never failed. Anyway, all in all, the newer Chevy Equinox is a really good car and I can see why it's the #1 choice for soccer moms.

this is my 3rd Equinox. I drove the prior 2 about 90,000 miles and had no repairs - very reliable. I have 25000 on this one - no problems - a comfortable drive. 30-32mpg on a trip and 26mpg around town. mine has heated seats and dual climate controls/ both work well

2018 2.0T AWD with 172k miles on it and it is going STRONG. Bought it used with 31k miles. Zero major issues but I've maintained it religiously, oil and transmission oil changed regularly. Spark plugs and coils had to be switched out at 130k miles but that's expected. Transmission is running strong and still sounds as great as the day I bought it.

I had a 20/20 Equinox that I was traveling from Illinois to Florida. As I was getting back on 75 South I got rear-ended and throw a hundred feet. The car took the brunt of the hit my cat that was in the cage in the back never got hurt my dog that was tethered in the front seat never got hurt I got a small concussion with a bump on my head but overall I absolutely love the car. When I got reimbursed for my 20/20 I went out and bought another one I was so impressed with the impact it took for that crash.

I've had one major issue with this car and it's concerning an air conditioning drain hose. I've had to have it drained and unclogged twice in 5 years. It has spilled water all over my floorboards and shorted out my radio and to me that is a design flaw in the car. I've never had any other car do that to me

I owned a 2001 Chevy Silverado 2500 for 23 years. I loved my truck and had no plans to replace it until a catastrophic experience. I owned this car for 10 years (2013 purchased in 2012). Spent less than $3k in repairs over those 10 years. With regular oil changes and good tires reached 135k miles comfortably and quietly. Buying a new Equinox looking forward to another 10+ years

After 4 years and 32K miles its been extremely reliable (tire sensor replaced), not a single rattle, and contrary to some replorts the 1.5L is more than adequate (cruse all day @ 80 MPH.

We bought this car new. Has 126,000 miles on it. Transfer case burned 2 yrs ago as Chevy changed its maintenance grid and didn't notify owners. Burns oil but changing oil sooner takes care of it. It is an AWD, 6cyl. Love this car but will be trading soon due to its age. It's been a great reliable vehicle!

I would have had a good experience with the car if it wasn't $200/year in maintenance. I've had it going on three years and have replaced the battery so far cuz I like to sit in the parking lot on breaks at work. It's not a bad car and the battery replacement was necessary because how else am I going to get the thing going. Great car. Don't expect much in power and even when you're riding solo you misguide the rpm of other SUV's with higher HP. You can guarantee in your city you can't find a better car. If you're in America buy American.
