Used Chevrolet Equinox for sale near St. Joseph, MI under $60,000

Do Not schedule a svc appointment close to lunch. Everyone was cordial however the wait was way too long and the technician didnt do the inspection normally done. I received an oil change and tires rotated but the oil setting was not reset for percentage of life. I normally receive a form showing the condition of belts, brakes, etc.

I've had one major issue with this car and it's concerning an air conditioning drain hose. I've had to have it drained and unclogged twice in 5 years. It has spilled water all over my floorboards and shorted out my radio and to me that is a design flaw in the car. I've never had any other car do that to me

I recently got a 2020 Equinox and there's a reason you see them everywhere. It's a great car that gets (somewhat) decent gas mileage. There's just a few issues I have with it. I've had to ride in the backseat of my Equinox a few times, whether I went out with friends and got slightly drunk or accidentally let my wallet go through the laundry. The point is… every time I have ever ridden in the backseat of the car, I always hit my head on the part where the roof meets the door. I'm 5' 10", which is an average male height, and yet, literally every single time I've ever been in the back seat of my car or in the back seat of an Uber ride that also drove a new-ish Chevy Equinox or similar car, I've hit my head on the headliner when the car turns. I also frequently use this car to transport my younger siblings who don't have a license or are in the process of getting one, and some of them have the same complaint. There's also not a lot of leg room in the back of the car, and again, I am about average male height. Two of my siblings are also around the same height as me. Also, this car is only five years old and the ABS light is already on. Now, this is not a huge deal, but my mom had an older GMC Acadia that she drove for about a decade before any warning lights appeared on her dashboard. Her car's ABS sensor never failed. Anyway, all in all, the newer Chevy Equinox is a really good car and I can see why it's the #1 choice for soccer moms.

I have owned 3 Chevy equinox and I like the way it looks and handles. It is a great family vehicle and very comfortable and safe. All 3 of my Equinox were the Premier class well worth the extra money and more features.

I received friendly, prompt service when I brought my Mazda CX-9 in for an inspection. They fixed a bent front brake shield (no idea how that happened) quickly while I waited in a pleasant, quiet waiting room. Highly recommend.

I want people to know what a great buying experience I had at this dealership. I contacted 4 dealerships about 4 different cars, and Yassin F. was the only one that contacted me by phone, instead of a "canned" email. Yassin was so helpful and ran all over this large dealership (in the rain) to make sure things were just right. I would use Yassin again 100%. This review is for a 2.0 turbo AWD Equinox Premier that I bought new six years ago and put 95,000 miles on. Sadly, this 252 HP engine was discontinued shortly after I bought it. Only maintenance in its life were infrequent car washes, twelve oil changes, twelve tire rotations, four new tires at 66,000 miles, rear brakes at 72,000 miles, air and cabin filters replaced twice. I’m still on my original battery and original front brakes. It should be noted that I only use 5W-30 Mobil 1 oil and I change the oil myself religiously as the car tells me to, and rotate tires the same week. For disposal, I pour the oil back into the same container that it was purchased in, so I can say without a doubt that the car has never burned (or leaked) a single shot glass of oil in its entire life. I have never reset the odometer since the car left the factory, so I can say that it has averaged 26.2 miles per gallon over its life, terrific given the power that it has, though I will say that almost all of its miles are highway. That also explains why my mileage on my tires and brakes are so good. And I should add a comment on the auto stop/start that so many in here don’t seem to like. I love it.

I just purchased my fourth vehicle from Walt Sicard Car Co. and it certainly won't be the last. My family has been buying cars from Walt for more than 20 years and for good reason. I go there because I know I'm going to be dealing with friendly, professional people who take pride in their work and the quality of the vehicles on the lot. I've also worked with the people in the service department in the past and they do top notch work in a reasonable amount of time. Another sign of a good dealership is how you're treated when things don't go quite right with a vehicle, because sometimes they just don't. Walt goes to great lengths to fix problems and I've never hesitated to contact him or the service department about the few issues I've had. I feel extremely fortunate to have people I can trust just a simple phone call away whenever I have a question or need work done on my car or when I'm looking to make a change.

this is my 3rd Equinox. I drove the prior 2 about 90,000 miles and had no repairs - very reliable. I have 25000 on this one - no problems - a comfortable drive. 30-32mpg on a trip and 26mpg around town. mine has heated seats and dual climate controls/ both work well

Ron S. Helped me solve a problem I was having with my car. My check engine light was on and before getting it diagnosed, he explained that if my gas cap was loose, it would cause that light to come on. He was right. I always trust him with my car.

At first we were looking at the Trailblazer. Then we saw the Equinox on the lot, and we took it for a test drive. Once we were inside my wife said this is it. The vehicle was very comfortable, roomy and had very good performance. We've had this vehicle for over a year, we have drove it to Los Angeles twice from San Francisco and the gas mileage is phenomenal. I can go from San Francisco to LA on one tank of gas. In San Francisco, the hill assist is very useful. I am pleased with my vehicle and expect to use it for the next 10 years.

The 2025 Equinox is a good solid SUV. My only complaint is it has electronic problems. Every time I take it in the dealer says that no codes can be found? It starts by itself! The engine surges when you are stopped at a light or stop sign, in the past month it surges as you apply the breaks to stop. Happens randomly, You never know when it will happen. Compass has quite working, speed zone indicator has gone out and the message that tells you that your phone is in the charger has disappeared! Other than the above issues the 2025 Equinox is great. 😊

Purchased brand new 10/22/22 Malcom Cunningham Augusta Ga. Shot out Travis. On my 2 car’s Equinox & Malibu 22. I love my Equinox LT blue metallic color. Great on gas. Love the app & key fob for remote start. I have everything but. Heated steering wheel, leather seats & I’m ok with that. I get a lot of compliments about how nice the cars are. I gave the Malibu to my 36 yr old son and he loves it. No problem with it. My equinox when it’s really cold in Ga. It will malfunction with some features. Long story short. I looked at recalls and it’s quite a few. But nothing about features messing up.

After 4 years and 32K miles its been extremely reliable (tire sensor replaced), not a single rattle, and contrary to some replorts the 1.5L is more than adequate (cruse all day @ 80 MPH.

We purchased this car used from Hurd Auto Mall in Johnston, RI, with 1yr warranty. Unfortunately within 1 week of purchase we noticed driver door wasn't properly installed. Dealer refused to fix it. Will never go back to that dealership

OLD-FASHIONED WE REALLY CARE ABOUT OUR CUSTOMERS SERVICE: I want to give a shout out today to Walt Sicard Car Company (South Haven) and Ridley?s Automotive repair (Pullman.). On New Year?s Day Gene and I found ourselves in South Haven with rapidly failing truck brakes. As we drove around trying to find a repair business that was open we found ourselves getting more and more desperate as the grinding and vehicle shaking increased. No one was open. Finally we headed toward home (quite afraid we would not make it and be stranded on the side of the roadway in the cold and snow) and when we saw the ?open? sign at Ridley?s Automotive Repairs on 109th St. near our Pullman home. We pulled in. Mr. Ridley scheduled our repair for the following day and gave us a ride home. When I spoke to Walt Sicard the following day, I explained the situation and that we had had our brakes, calipers and shoes replaced at The Sicard Service Center on 1-4-16, not yet meeting the one year warranty. Walt listened carefully and took it from there. He spoke to Mr. Ridley and they worked out the situation to our satisfaction. Walt made this situation right in the old fashioned way that businesses used to do years ago when customer service was a priority and your customers were the number one importance. We bought our used Subaru at Walt Sicard's Car Company a little over a year ago and have been 100 % satisfied. We have been buying our tires and getting our truck repairs done at the Sicard?s Service Center this past year and with the exception of these failing brakes (due I am sure to a failure in the equipment) we have been 100% satisfied. We could not be more please at how we have been consistently treated by Walt Sicard. I highly recommend his employees, his auto center and his service center. I love my Chevy Equinox. It's so much easier to shift than my previous 2024 GMC. I hated having to reach over to pull levers in the middle of the GMC. My new car shift lever is right in front of my eyes and so much safer. I love the "real" rearview mirror. It took a little time to get used to it, but it helps so much to see everything near and far. The adaptive cruise works great. I don't have to step on the brake and re-set whenever the vehicle in front of me slows. One doesn't realize how nice that is until you're on the highway for any length of time. I think a woman must have designed this vehicle! No wonder it's perfect!

I've been driving this car for nearly two years, have added 38k miles on it so far, and am now pushing 95K everything's been great, I haven't had any reliability issues, and everything is running smoothly. However, the gas mileage is nowhere near their claims, granted to don't drive conservatively but I'm getting anywhere from 19-22 mpg. Great car overall, especially for the price.

I drove by here on my to another dealer. I didn't realize the dealership was there (not from the area originally) and I turned around to see what they had. There was no haggling, no debating, no arguing, no lying, no cheating, no stealing-all things you can expect at some dealers. Love the look and features, hate the 4 cylinder. Has no power. Very comfortable, smooth ride, handles nice, easy to park. Just don't try to pass unless you have plenty of room.

Glad I bought the premier model with all the “bells and whistles”. Suggests for improvement : Automatic folding side mirrors when parking Locking gas cap More staffing and customer friendly service for guaranteed warranty issues. (I was told 3 week wait for appointment followed by leaving the vehicle for another three weeks to check an engine light problem. Why couldn’t the service dept call me when ready instead of leaving the car for three weeks with no replacement vehicle?) The desk person suggested I take it elsewhere where the warranty wouldn’t be honored!

I have done several long trips, 2 cross-country trips and in town commuting. It is a smooth comfortable ride, easy layout for gauges and controls, roomy, holds tons of cargo, and has great fuel economy (I have gotten up to 38 mpg on the highway going 70mph). All of these were listed in the "bad"- and this has not been my experience. Furthermore, my dad was side-swiped hit and run on the 210 freeway at 80 mph in his equinox and it took it like a champ. It is an easy smooth ride, I feel safe. I strongly recommend this vehicle- really the best bang for the buck- you get way more than you pay for.

I love this vehicle I had a 2019 and recently upgraded to this model and Chevy didn’t disappoint although there was some features I forgot to mention to my salesperson and that was my fault but overall this is a smooth ride over the road which is why I love it!!
