I have a 2020 1500 RST with the 5.3 engine and 8 speed transmission. My truck now has 67,000 miles. The acceleration is outstanding and smooth from gears 3-8. Probably could use more torque for gears 1-2, but not weak by any means. I have had no mechanical problems outside of the clunking rear suspension which was fixed by retorqueing the rear leaf spring suspension bolts. Other than that minor issue, it has been very reliable. I have heard these transmissions have had issues, but nothing that has caused issues for me. It has the 60-70 MPH shutter that is common to these transmissions, but I have learned how to drive to avoid the shutter, as I did with my 2011 1500. Overall pretty satisfied at this point. Comfort and amenities could be better for the front seats for the price, but I bought it knowing that. FYI my front brakes at this point are still 50%, and I have invested very little outside of a few fluid exchanges and routine maintenance. Excellent fuel mileage: 20 mpg with 50% highway vs city driving.

I have been very pleased with my 2015 Silverado 1500. There a few things to note about this model though, they tend to have some transmission issues and some may have drive shaft vibrations if not maintained properly.

Chevy has been in the family for over years. I Love my truck.. I gave a second chance buying Chevrolet. My other vehicle was a Tahoe. And the transmission went out. So I decided to give it a second chance. Guess what my transmission went out on this one two.. Chevrolet should make a recall it's very scare and unsafe when truck just wants to go reverse.

Bought used. Did some research on it found out problems with AFM. I installed a tuner and did AFM delete and got rid of the top speed limiter, also set other perimeters to high performance, cold air intake, got rid of vacuum pump for braking and went to intake vacuum for booster did tranny thermostat bypass. also changed intake from 5.3 to 6.2 and changed throttle body. Installed catch can for oil blow by. Installed a throttle control booster, change oil every 3000 miles has 125056 miles got rid of all3 cats and has headers and dual straight pipes. sounds great. hptuners got check engine light off. I have street raced this against Camaros mustangs ect and tear them up. tranny has no issues nor do valves. Have buried the Speedo several times max speed was 152mph going by speedo on tuner display. In a truck ride was smooth handles great. I dog the xxxx out of it and it just takes it. I invite others to race. tag says RUN YOU.

I bought my 2017 brand new with 4,000 mi on it from a dealer. I get a range of about 500 mi. I've had no trouble with it ever since I bought it. I give it regular maintenance and I can't ask for a better truck.

2007 Silverado 1500 engine 5.3 runs great 150k miles exterior rocker panels have rotted out cab corners also! Have had oil change every 3000 miles burn's no oil ride's great yet.

Sales people were friendly, especially the man from NY, and the sales guy, I bought a Honda Odyssey from them the next day I took it right into the dealer for an inspection, all the fluids needed to be changed, that's something i think they should have done before putting it on the lot, but other than that the van seems fine so far

Overall I love This. Chevy truck. Aside from the minor issues that Chevy should have taken care of long ago Such as Intermittent transmission failureThat cost me $3100 at 60000 miles. And the power train output that could have been much more which I enhance using a super chip program that Actually woke this engine up the 5.3 by the way. And they should have long eliminated the active fuel management. But after all these issues I love the Chevy truck come on Jim get it together stop producing better track 2 better trucks less recalls don't make me jump Ship !

Had a malfunction in the clock spring which controls the steering wheel controls. Took it back and they fixed it with no problems. Make sure you get the warranty.

Overall a great truck, low mileage and everything I needed in an older model dependable work truck. The salesman, Mike Silman, is very professional and he offers great customer service.

I was under the impression that I with bad credit could get a good used f-150. But, I was wrong. They could not help me. So therefor they can not finance everyone.

Truck drives and handles great compared to my past Ford. Z71 off road package makes for a stiff ride though. Interior controls well laid out and easy to use. Had the truck for 52k miles and no major problems.

Purchased new a 2020 Chevrolet custom Trail Boss in Satin Steel metallic, it has been great. I just turned 80,000 miles with no issues, it’s been a pleasure to drive, just replaced brakes and tires for the first time at 75,000 miles . I have also purchased new a 86 F-250 and a 01 GMC 1500 which also were great trucks and sold with 190,000 miles on them. Maintenance is key Chevrolet did a great job on the exterior of this truck, love the look and color. Nothing bad to say only a positive experience.

This was the best experience I've had while buying a car. Tony greeted us at the door, gave us the keys, and said he'd be inside if we had questions or wanted to take it for a drive. No hovering. No making excuses about the condition of the car. No abrasive selling tactics. We were able to test drive the car by ourselves, which is nice because you can concentrate on the vehicle instead of listening to a sales pitch coming from the back seat. Financing was easy. And we got an extended warranty for under $2k. A previous dealer (Ford) wanted to charge us $5k for the same 3 year warranty ( the car had more miles, but not enough to justify a $3k difference. My father bought the first 4x4 our Chevy dealer ever sold, a ‘68 model delivered in the fall of 1967. He traded after that about every 4 years and my 2000 Silverado 1500 LS 4x4 5.3L is the last one he purchased before his passing. It had 45k miles on it when my mom passed away and I inherited it. It now has nearly 68k miles on in and I invested $12k in it to replace the inner and outer rockers, cab corners, rear cab mounts, replaced the box with a California takeoff, had the frame pressure washed and painted, the body repainted, and replaced the transfer case with a rebuilt NP 246 transfer case that had the “pump rub issue” corrected . The ‘68 model that had NO power steering or brakes, it had a manual shift transfer case, 3 speed manual transmission and its only options were an anemic 307 V8, lockout hubs, radio, custom cab, and wood pickup box floor. It drove and rode like a WW ll deuce and a half. It makes this 2000 Silverado look like a luxury limousine by comparison in ride quality, ease of handling, performance, driveability the convenience of the NP 246 electrically shifted transfer case (2 wheel HI, 4 wheel HI, 4wheel LO, and AWD), quiet cab sound level, and twice the fuel mileage with that coming along with twice the power. I put the money into this truck not only for sentimental reasons but also because I love the looks and styling of this truck and couldn’t find anything that I could replace it with for anything near the $12k that I put into it. The 4x4’s were TRUCKS back when dad first began looking in ‘66 and few dealers even stocked them except for a smattering in large cities. Those they had were 3/4 and 1 ton trucks that had a huge stack of springs and that you needed a small stepladder to get into. Dealers ordered them for “plow trucks” for snow plowing or for off road use by utility companies. Even hardly any farmers had 4x4’s back then in our area (north central Wisconsin). Power steering was rare and automatic transmission were even more rare if they were even available at all. The 4x4’s of today are largely bought by people who’ll never use the 4 wheel drive and seldom, if ever, haul anything. The last truck my dad bought has everything that I want and far more than I actually need. It still remotely resembles what I think of when I say “pickup truck”. It continually reminds me of my dad and especially of my mom who had to give up her ‘63 Buick LeSabre (w/automatic, PS, PB, and AC) for a brutish handling, manual everything pickup TRUCK which only had “4/60 air conditioning” and that she had to drive everyday to the school where she taught.

I had a base 2018 LT for just over 4 years. I bought it used off a lease buy back. I loved the truck, and if I didn’t end up needing a bigger back seat, for car seats, I’d probably still have it. I thought the ride was bouncy, almost too bouncy. I had no issues mechanically. The antenna was stuck and I marred it up trying to replace it. And the sunglasses holder started falling. The tpms sensors failed. But no big issues. That’s why I give it 4 of 5.
