I am so grateful to have found Schomp! My car was totaled recently and, being a young woman who knows nothing about cars, I was BEYOND overwhelmed at the idea of buying another. I visited a few other dealerships, but I didn't like how "cornered" the sales teams made me feel. Schomp is SO different. I’ve always owned Tahoe trucks. This is my 5th one. I owned an 01, 03, 04 and 06 before they changed the body style which I wasn’t fond of. The vehicle model is very attractive compared to other trucks I saw when I wanted to purchase something brand new. The Vortec 5.3 engine is still one of the most reliable engines ever made my opinion. I’ve never had issue with my previous trucks. My last Tahoe, I sold it with 301K miles on it. It was my work truck. Now, I’ve switched this truck from leisure to working. I recently had a major repair. One of the parking assist sensors went bad and cause a domino effect, shutting my computer down. Had to have it towed to a dealer. It’s still fairly new so, finding parts that are compatible outside the dealer for cheap isn’t going to go well. I ended up having to replace all my modules, harnesses for the modules since they had heavy water damage from years of exposure (the design doesn’t cover them). That was a $2800 repair. Not bad for having it 6 years 113000 miles driven. I do highly suggest getting the extended warranty on these newer vehicles and renewing the warranty again if you plan on keeping it long term after it’s paid off. As far as the engine, The correct oil makes a difference. Using the wrong type will effect your fuel efficiency and performance of the engine. Your mechanic may be best at figuring which is ideal for your truck in is current state. The truck does well on the highway for its size. I get about 24-26 highway average. The most I’ve gotten was 32.6 miles on the highway but that was mostly on a flat surface which the engine switches to V4 when it’s not under heavy demand. City driving is to be expected. 13-17 depending on idling at lights, traffic, stopping and starting. It’s a reliable truck if your not looking for fancy with a high price tag for an SUV. Can seat 7-8 ppl safely (I had ppl between 5’10 and 6’2 in the third row and the said it wasn’t a bad sit and was surprisingly more comfortable than they expected a 3rd row to be, handles well (your not gonna make corners at nascar speeds in this truck so expectations are within reason) and it’s acceleration is powerful enough to get you in and out of exits on the highway where the flow of traffic is doing 75mph+. I recommend this truck to anyone that wants reliability, safety for themselves and family and something attractive without the Kardashian price tag. If your hung up on brand name status recognition, spend the extra 40K-62K and get a Mercedes truck if that makes you feel better. If your not one of those ppl, Tahoes are great.

Had a big transmission issue after two years only, had it fixed with a huge discount. Other than that, I can say that this is my dream car. Performance, look, reliability, and above all safety ❤️

Bought my 2015 Tahoe new, 124,000 miles later no major problems with normal maintenance. Annoying interior lights flicker when brakes depressed, replaced front ball joints. Overall great truck, car must have built on a Wednsday.

I have owned this Tahoe LTZ since 2011. I have about 100K for miles. Other than regular maintenance, I have not had one problem in 14 years. The electric stabilizer is great for loads and never dips in the rear. I used to trade cars every two years but it still drives like new and looks great. Only thing I would change is addition of telescopic steering wheel and ability to program new key fobs (2011 requires a trip to the dealer). Cory Gore 02/25

Owned a 2018 Chevy Tahoe premier for about a year got it at 68k miles currently at 91k planning to keep this car forever have been keeping up with the maintenance replaced the heater hoses, magna ride struts in the front no major major issues with the Tahoe so far love it

The car is gorgeous but the dealership did not take good care of it nor provided proper teaching to any of its clients about how to maintain it. They just sold it and did oil changes but did not diagnose it correctly and even with the warranty did not do the right things to repair the car or treated us fairly. They are not trustworthy. The car is gorgeous and comfortable.

2019 model year Tahoe purchased brand new from dealership in 2018. I have put almost 50,000 miles on it. In 6 years and 50,000 miles as of April, 2024, I have not had one single issue with it. The only maintenance it has required are the regular oil changes with Mobil 1. Furthermore, I live in the north where they throw salt everywhere in the winter which tends to promote corrosion. There's not a spot of rust on this vehicle's body. there's no paint bubbling from underlying rust either. I do my own oil changes and the underbody has slight surface corrosion here and there but nothing that makes me want to get rid of the vehicle. I am very happy with this vehicle thus far and would not be inclined to trade it in for a newer vehicle at this time, especially since I have 50,000 miles to go on the hundred thousand mile extended warranty provided through the dealership.

This Truck is exactly what we needed for our family.It has a lot of room and we ride so comfortable.My kids have so much space in between.

Bought my vehicle from Golden, CO Carmax and didn't have any support for mechanical issues. Still purchased the vehicle because it is what I wanted. Ashley from sales in Golden was the worst! I ended up closing the deal with Cora who was amazing and clearly the exception to the rule in Golden. When I told Ashley there were issues with the brakes she was rude and didn't take me seriously. I ended up working with the Federal Heights dealership on repairs. Debbie in the service department took this on and was soooo amazing! She took care of everything and I am so greatful! The technican at this location was amazing as well (I forget his name unfortunately)! It is really a shame that I had to go to another location to get service, but I am so glad that I did. Outstanding job Federal Heights location!

I needed a vehicle to accommodate my 5 grandchildren. The WIFI is a must for school pickups, and traveling. The safety features exceeded my expectations. Safety comes first, it's my upmost priority. However, the luggage accommodation could be improved. That's definitely not a deal breaker for me. I learned to use the top rack and add a trailer for luggage. The Onstar features gives me more confidence when on the road. I love it.

My 2020 Tahoe has been pretty much trouble free. It is very comfortable and very nice to drive. It gets very good gas mileage for its size too. 21mpg in the city and 26mpg on the highway. I would definitely buy another one.

To begin this review, you should know that I rated the facilities a 4-star because, in this time of COVID, I was unable to enter the main building. The lot is cramped with gorgeous, fairly-priced vehicles, plus a small building in the center. There was no room for me to park my own vehicle when visiting, so I parked in the cul-de-sac. Now, about Stan. From the Ukraine, Stan is a compassionate, thoughtful salesman who spent our time together masked (because of COVID) and LISTENING to me as I fumbled with what I was looking for. He asked pertinent questions, took the time to understand what I was seeking, and was as transparent with me about the quality of the vehicle I had come to test-drive as is possible. I pointed out scratches. He admitted that they were problematic. I asked him about the timing belt: had it been changed? He didn't know, and didn't invent a story. He didn't say "yes" or "no," he said the most honest thing a car salesman can say: "I don't know. But I will find out for you." And, sure enough, he did! We talked about the timing belt replacement (which HAD happened, and this saves me $1,000 right off the bat). We talked about the provenance of the vehicle, a wreck it had been in eight years ago, how clean and immaculate the car was, both inside and out. I thought that the car was overpriced a bit, and I asked Stan what he thought. He agreed that it could be a bit lower, and on my first visit to the lot, he informed me that his boss had lowered the price of the car by $500. Which was music to my ears. I test drove the car. It handled beautifully. Ice-cold A/C, no pulling to the left or right. This car had been in a wreck before, but other than the CARFAX report mentioning it, I would never have known. Stan gave me the keys and said "Take this to your mechanic," so I did. I sat at my own personal mechanic's office and waited for an hour while they went through the car, front to back, paying close attention to the mechanical aspects of the vehicle. They found a leaking power steering rack and pump. That's IT. "Lou," said the owner of the shop. "This is the best vehicle you've brought us, and I am of the strong opinion you should BUY THIS CAR IMMEDIATELY." I wasn't sure, given the cost of replacing the power steering rack and pump. I went back to Stan. He wasn't sure, he said, but he'd check with the boss. I offered $500 less than the vehicle was priced at, even AFTER a $500 drop! Stan stood up for me with his boss, got the boss to agree, and sold me the car. In conclusion, I have a fantastic vehicle, low miles for its age, mechanically sound (except for the rack and pump, which I will get fixed on my own dime), and Stan has a customer for life in me. I've been in sales for forty years, and Stan did everything right. He shared what he could do, told me honestly what he couldn't do and, not once, not EVER, did he give me a hard-sell. He listened to me, he met my needs and then exceeded them. Kudos to Stan and to Denver Auto Company for the best car-buying experience I have ever had. Thank you.

I’ve had an 2002 Ford Explorer, 2007 Nissan Murano, 2010 Infinity FX 45, 2011 Ford Edge, 2013 Tahoe LT and a 2015 Yukon Denali…none gave me the ride, comfort, luxury and feel like the 2018 Tahoe Premier.

The best SUV I have owned yet! Spacious legroom in all 3 rows, the entertainment package was everything we needed. Only complaint is that the cargo space is smaller than expexted.

Purchased this vehicle used,had for 2 years now,90,000 klm now,have not had any problems,excellent ride,fuel economy is around 23 mpg,acceptable for a vehicle this size,feel very safe due to size and airbags everywhere.
