Used Chevrolet Traverse for sale near North Barrington, IL under $25,000

My wife and I drove from Chicago to come and check out a certified Ford Escape. They gave us a very fair trade-in for our original car. They whole process was great and we look forward to getting our vehicle services or any other cars from this location.

I bought my LTZ as a Certified Pre Owned, already 5 Years old. I have driven it for 3.5 years and just had to pay for my first Repair - a broken motor mount. It is quiet, smooth and comfortable. I am 6' 4" and go 250 lbs so space and comfort are paramount for me, and I could not be happier.

The service was thorough and all repairs clearly presented to me before being completed. We will return.

My 2018 Traverse is large enough that I (6'2") can get into and out of it with no problem. If I put the 2nd row of seats down, I can stretch out with room to spare. Averaged 29mpg on a 1400 mile trip in Sept. Has more power and better mpg than my 2012 did. If I get another car, it will once again be a Traverse if it is still available.

I was very pleased with my experience. I started at CarMax to "try on" several cars from several manufacturers. The salesman (Jack) was happy to oblige, despite it being cold and rainy. We walked the lot and I sat in ~20 cars. I went home and researched them some more, scheduled a few to test drive and came back on Jack's day off. This time, I worked with Brandon for a few test drives and discussed other vehicles at nearby CarMax locations. They found a vehicle that fit my requirements and transported it in for me to test drive. A few days later, I was back for the final test drive, loved the car and purchased it. Jack and Brandon kept good communication, weren't pushy and were a pleasure to work with. The business office was quick and explained the paperwork and processes effectively. I purchased the 2020 Traverse Premier Redline Edition brand new with only 50 miles and have no qualms about it. I did knock it down to four stars on performance due to its hesitation at yield signs when I accelerate after slowing down. If not at the perfect timing when in the yield, the vehicle will jerk or hesitate to go when I push the accelerator. Once the engine gets beyond that hesitation point, there is a decent amount of power in the acceleration. The hesitation is not a dealbreaker for me, however. Just annoying and can be dangerous if you are in a situation where you have minimal reaction time. Car and Driver said it best: "When parking or maneuvering at low speed, the Traverse feels every bit its size. Pick up the pace, however, and the big Chevy feels smaller than it is—poised, if not overtly athletic." If you're looking for a third-row seating option with second-row captain's chairs but are not the minivan type, much like myself, the Traverse is a great option. Rear cargo space is small, but if you think about it, you will lack impressive cargo space in a mid-size SUV if it has third-row seating. There's always the roof rack/cargo carrier option for storage. It's not bad, especially if a clutter-free interior on long road trips with the family is your forte. On the plus side, the lack of cargo space allows adults and teenagers to sit comfortably in the third row, and second-row passengers have an impressive amount of legroom. Other great interior options are the heated and cooled first and second-row seats. Backseat passengers can control their climate, from changing the temperature and fan speed to turning the entire system on or off, without changing the Driver's and front seat passenger's preferred climate. The Bose system is impressive. The clear audio quality, with the subwoofer under the front console, makes it sound like you're in a concert. If blasting the new age of music isn't your thing, that's cool. Classical music sounds just as impressive in this ride. Overall, I am pleased with this ride. I love getting in it every day. I receive a lot of compliments and looks. The sleek and sporty design of the Redline Edition with the black-on-white color is a head-turner! If you take care of your vehicles, they will last. The Traverse is no different. Never stretch out an oil change due date, and never turn down factory-recommended services. Avoid the quick lube places at all costs. No offense to them, many of them do great, but they work within parameters outside the scope of routine vehicle maintenance, such as tire rotations, factory-recommended inspections, and factory-recommended maintenance, depending on your vehicle mileage.

For some reason all three of my Chevy Traverse have a problem with the left passenger windows front and back. I also have some type of problem with the rim on the tires.

First Chevy I've ever owned. Took a chance on it due to the insane deal I got from dealership. Been 2 years now and only had one issue...O2 sensors replaced..other than that nothing..it's been a great car, lots of room, classy interior and dogs love it for long road trips.

I currently have 158,000 miles on my Traverse . I bought it six years ago . It has been through my two kids and their permit driving . To driving my kids to school everyday for five years . We love twenty miles from town . I have always kept the maintenance up on it . I plan on driving my traverse till it is done . Chevrolet really did their homework when they made the Traverse . It has satisfied my every need in a car . I love the power , the quite on the road . The gas mileage for the power you get out of it . The comport for traveling . The ease of handling. This was the first time I purchased a used car from a dealer. I saw it on cars.com and called to see if it was available. Bill (William Saccucci - the owner) spoke with me himself and said he had it in stock. He sounded decent and dependable (said "this is a family business"), unlike the many dealers I had called before (some of whom were downright insulting). I got there as fast as I could. I was surprised by the appearance of the place when I got there. It looked like an office / plant more than a dealership. Luckily the signage made it clear I was at the right place. It looked neat on the inside.The walls were covered with generations of happy customers. In business since the 1980s, Bill has sold cars to people who have returned to buy again, and sent their kids and grand kids to him. I was still on guard, because this all seemed too good to be true. In an industry filled with shady practices and people, it was hard to believe such a dealer existed. Then Bill came out to greet me and show me the car himself. Every word that came out of his mouth, convinced me more and more than this was not a sham. Indeed, it is not. I cannot overstate Bill's wisdom on buying and selling used cars. He told me his goal is to save his customer the difference between the cost of a new car vs. a used car (the reason most people buy used). However, he said he must do this with integrity or not at all. That's the crucial difference: you save money without being screwed. He's been doing this for 30 years, but he is has been doing it very intelligently for 30 years. He knows how to get a truly good deal, which he then passes on to you. This is why his customers are so loyal. I am glad I bought my car from him and will definitely return again and again. P.S. He can find a car that you want, if he doesn't have it in stock.

I bought an LT model new in 2013 and have driven it daily ever since. I have not had a single problem of any sort.....no repairs, service, etc. other than oil changes at the proper intervals. The interior has held up beautifully, and the exterior paint has coped quite well with being parked outside in the hot desert sun. The gas mileage is around 16 to 17 MPG, which is rather low, but it is a large vehicle. Acceleration is excellent, but there is a lag before the transmission downshifts for passing. Overall, it is one of the nicest, quietest vehicles I have ever owned.

Love my car, perfect for every day or traveling! The far back seat is a little small but is was larger than other models I tried. The only aggravating thing are the tire sensors, they come on quite often.

It’s a great car for every day use but it could have better performance considering the engine in the car. Not gonna lie but it does ok with slight modifications to increase power but would only recommend if you’re looking for a sleeper build lol. Over all it’s fairly comfortable , has its issues but it’s ok. Had to replace the transmission due to a recall. Apart from that it has over 98k miles on the original engine. I love the fun little features with the infotainment systems and the ltz trim was just perfect It does have a Tv in the 2nd row for the little ones I would 100% recommend this car as I got this car brand new with 2 miles from factory. It’s an amazing car.
