I want to start up by saying, I am not a "car person". I do know, is a 5'2 female, this car feels like it was made for me. It gets amazing gas mileage, and you can park in a sidewalk square if needed. Yes, it does not have a lot of bells and whistles to it at all, but it does have the Android auto / Apple Auto feature which I love, at the same time as having roll up Windows. It is perfect for in town and highway driving. I drove it all the way to Georgia from Illinois with no problem. And my 6'5 son fits comfortably in the passenger seat as well, as well as plenty of room in the backseat and trunk for groceries or luggage.

It's a shame more people were not familiar with this car before Chevrolet stopped producing them. I drive on EV mode almost all the time, except when going on long trips. There is no range anxiety with the Volt. My car is averaging 181,000 MPG lifetime.

I purchased my Spark new, June 2019. I love this car! It is now, one month before 6 yrs of owning my Spark. It has less than 10,900 miles on it. This car has great maneuverability, gets great gas mileage, and I love the Hot Red body color. The only thing I've had to replace, in almost 6 yrs, is the battery. And that was just a few months ago during freezing weather. It gets regular oil changes and maintenance checks. The 2019 Chevy Spark is one great little car for the money.

I went there looking for a Jeep I saw on Cars.com and they got me a carfax report and test drive (a good long freeway and street drive) as soon as I arrived. They were extremely friendly and honest. They admitted that the Jeep had been in an accident but proved that it was only a fender bender. As a matter of fact, they guarantee not to sell cars with any type of frame or flood damage. They even replaced the battery for free because they noticed some corrosion on the connection when I was inspecting it. They let me look the car up and down, inside and out as much as I wanted. They HARDLY charge ANY fees! It's great. The taxes and fees together were only 10 percent of the list price. Best customer service I've ever had at a dealer! We bought this car when we lived on Vancouver Island. Great car in traffic and getting in and out of parking spots. We loved every moment we have owned it!

Overall I feel like we had a really great experience. I believe I had a fair trade and they honored their word- fixed the car I purchased that had some challenges I noticed at the time of my test drive. Were pretty communicative. I definitely felt heard and taken care of at the end of the day. No pressure to write a review or give a certain rating which I appreciate. There is NOTHING I don't like about my Spark ... that's not to say that there couldn't be some improvements ... but it is EVERYTHING I want in a car in 2022. I bought mine back in 2018 ... love the roll up windows (power windows break over time and cost money), love the REAL ignition key, love the manual transmission (had to search high and low - but that's okay I found it), love the compact size, the Apple Car Play, the comfort - - - but MORE THAN ANYTHING, in this world of $5 gas ... I can't tell you how happy I am with the mileage. I AVERAGE over 38 mpg. That means for the price of gas, my expenditures are the same as a schmo with a car that gets 19 mpg back when gas was 2.50! I like it so much that I bought my son a brand new 2021 Spark outfitted the same way. I was devastated to hear that GM will no longer sell them after 2022.

I got the truck financed and took about 2 days to get everything approved. Got approved then afterwards got a better deal with lower interest rates and payment.

When the Volt first came out I would give it 5 stars for everything, now new cars coming out so I took some off but still mostly 5 stars. It is still a great value. No car is perfect but this has allowed me to avoid a lot of maintenance and repairs of regular gas cars.

This Is the best car I have ever owned. If it had a 200 mile battery it would be outstanding and it has a back up gas engine when you run out of energy. Bring it back

This is the best format for an electric car ever developed. No getting stuck somewhere without electricity. Chevrolet was totally crazy to stop making this car. Today they could sell millions.

CarMax is much smoother than any other car buying experience you will ever find. Their salesman Matthew Johnson is a great guy. He was very patient and helped me find the perfect car after I spent months researching. He really knew what he was doing and gave me a wonderful experience. I would recommend CarMax to anyone!

The car is good for what it is but it being a Chevy and not thought of with reliability in mind it's not a good money saving car except for gas.

I drive around town most days and love the idea of not using as much gas. I drive older volvo's that I love for many reasons but they are aging and certainly not good on gas. I like the idea of full EV cars but the cost is very high and range for me (I take a lot of 200-300 mile road trips) makes it more complicated along with the expense of charging stations or installing upgraded home chargers. I bought a used Volt with 50k miles and it honestly is a pretty awesome car. I can drive around town almost purely on electric, just plug in at night to a standard outlet. And barring me going on a road trip a tank of gas a month maybe less. (8 gallons to fill up!!!!) I love the heated seats and wheel. The interior layout is great and its a very quiet car. It's quick around town and holds its own on the freeway. Are the seats volvo comfortable? NO, but they aren't bad at all in the leather premier trim. Is the back seat huge not really but if you are less than 6' it should be fine. The bose sound system is GREAT. All the safety features are nice. Back up camera, front and rear sensors, lane keep, adaptive cruise, etc.... It took a week or so to get used to how to drive it in EV and maximize my range. I can now get around 55-60 miles in town. I would say to read the manual for sure, the climate controls are situated to save electricity so there is no A/C on or off button and I had to read up on how it works. I got the hang of it once I took the time to understand what did what. The Chevy Volt forum is a wealth of knowledge as well, and that really made it easy to learn how the car works. Apart from slight learning curve it is an excellent car you can easily run in EV only if it suits your situation. Long trips are no problem I can get 42 mpg on the freeway usually and no down time to charge at stations along the way. This is a great car to bridge the gap between full gas and full electric and given the price to purchase it almost makes sense not to own one. I LOVE IT.

This is the second Chevrolet Sonic that I have owned. I only bought the newer 2019 vehicle because I just loved my 2016 model as well. I would like to find a 2020 in the future, as this was the last year of its manufacturing. I love all the features and how this wonderful vehicle operates and handles the road. It is reliable and good on gas, as well.

We bought a sonic lt with a 1.4 turbo engine, great gas mileage and no major problems. As long as you keep up the maintenance the reliability is great.

Found our car at a local Toyota dealership. Great service. Was looking for Low mileage and a newer car. Great gas mileage also. Paid car off, but didn't get any deal for doing that was hoping to get free oil changes like my son did.

It's unfortunate the previous owners of the recent reviews had terrible ownership experiences . I have used this car for nearly four years without a single problem. Fun to drive, very spirited, great gas mileage, and outstanding handling at highway speeds. At 95,000 miles, no squeaks, wind noise, or rattles. its still very solid. Would highly recommend if you find a well cared for one. My only complaint is you would be hard pressed to fit four ave. size people at one time. But on the plus side it can fit in small spaces.

Purchased the 2015 Chevy sonic at a dealer used for almost 15,000 miles that’s a lot for a used vehicle but with the market the way it is now used. Vehicles are a lot more expensive. Good thing I got the extended warranty on the unit because about six months later, the engine started heating up to where the check engine light would come on took it to you a Chevy dealer and not the dealer I bought it from and they found it needed a new radiator thermostat and oil seal gasket still cost me almost $300 but it would’ve cost me over 2300 to repair it my warranty is for 72 months or 80,000 miles which is great since I don’t actually drive it that much gas mileage is really good at it it’s a turbo so it really has a lot of power but one of the thing I noticed is that the car was clear coated And the rear bumper is starting to peel off the clearcoat

Bought used @ 8 yrs old. Very satisfied for retiree use and care. Great mileage. Some paint issues with rust on rear tire wells. It's Michigan winters & no garage.

I absolutely love my 2013 Sonic it's pretty and has been very reliable. It runs great has fantastic gas mileage. It's a perfect car for a woman or a new driver. I have had it for 5 years and only had to replace the battery.

I’ve had over 30 cars in my lifetime. Mostly BMW, Honda and Lexus. My first EV purchase was my 2016 Spark EV two years ago. It was ugly and felt cheaply made when I first saw it and sat in it. My first drive out of the dealership, I pushed hard on the accelerator and it literally burned rubber harder than my old BMW M3. I was sold on it , ugliness and cheaply made (now spelled economically built). Now, it’s 2022 and gas is $6.50 per gallon and I am thankful that I purchased this EV. Never had to replace anything except two tires and a window regulator. Now, these Spark EVs are selling for $4000 more than what I paid. So, if you need an around town car and don’t want to pay $6.50 gas, go and get one of these

I bought a 2018 Premiere 7 months ago; I wanted an EV that had decent electric range and had an onboard range extender. It can go coast to coast on gas only getting over 40 MPG at highway speeds. It covers up to 50 miles on a single charge in the non-winter months and about 30 -35 miles in the winter. It charges to full in 4.5 hours using a 240 Volt charger. It has strong low speed acceleration, responsive handling and is fun to drive. It handled the worst S/E Michigan winter storm easily with just all season tires, and averages 121 MPGe. It is loaded with premium features like leather seats and steering wheel, heated front and rear seats and steering wheel, navigation, active cruise control, blind side warning, automatic low speed pedestrian braking, auto dimming headlights and a full page of standard equipment. The rare hatch area is small but very usable and can swallow bikes and lumber with the 2nd row seats folded.This car is upscale enough that it could have a Buick logo on it. I'm averaging 6 gallons of gas per month or about $20/month. My electricity costs me $0.03/kWh charging late at night (distribution costs more than doubles this cost; a full charge costs about $1.50 to go about 50 miles on the battery). It is a very comfortable highway cruiser; it is luxuriously quiet and the Bose 8 speaker system rivals the 14 speaker Bose system in our Yukon Denali. I have spent $0 for maintenance in 7 months. The brakes last many years because of the region feature (paddle and L drive modes engage region). At around $20K for a low mileage Gen 2 Volt, I can't think of a funner, higher tech car that is less expensive to operate at that price. A recent Car and Driver article recommended a 1980's Porsche as a fun, quick car to buy;. Surprisingly, the Gen 2 Volt's 0-60 time, 1/4 mile time/speed, 70-0 braking distance, and lateral g capability were the same or better than the respected German GT. It's easy to think of my Volt as a sports sedan, not as an economy car.

Ok so I’ve been in the market for a vehicle for some time now. I have a second Gen Volt and absolutely love it! It has its little quirks but overall is a great car....I just wish GM still made them. I have always owned GM vehicles and driven other brands but the imports are too "Tinny" sounding and loud on the road. SOme of the Fords are also this way. GM did a major disservice by discontinuing the Volt as it's the best car they made. Yes, a little smaller than a Lesabre or the other larger cars but can't beat the range and fuel economy. I do wish the electric range was bigger and had they continued to make them then I'm sure that would have improved with a solid state battery or something but I love the car. GM if you read this, we need more cars like this one! The safety and redundancy of the electronics to power it are the best and it has never left me stranded!
