Used convertibles for sale near Broadview, IL under $50,000

I found this place on google after searching for a new car for me to buy. Fortunately, the last car I bought for $17,300 was totaled (minor fender bender but airbags went off) and valued at $19,200 by insurance, meaning I had a good chunk towards a different car. I emailed Jasin about this 2016 X5 50i since it caught my eye with all of the packages and features it has and I got a reply within 25 minutes of doing so. The process was made very simple and to the point which I appreciate. When I get to Skokie he had everything already signed on his end so all I had to do was sign my parts, and after the test drive and some small talk about the car, I bought it and was in and out of the dealership within 45 minutes. The car is extremely clean and inside and out and there is zero issues with it. If anyone is looking to get a car without all of the hassle I highly recommend iCars Chicago. I've owned 8 Corvettes, an M3, M4, a 528, Porsche 911 C4S, an Audi A4, Audi A5, Mercedes E550, Cadillac ATS4, a Volvo, three VWs, many pick up trucks and SUVs, so I have a lot of varied experience with different types of vehicles. Two weeks ago I bought my first Jaguar, an F Type R convertible. So far I love the car. It looks good, it's really fast, ride is comfortable for what it is and it sounds great. Let me address a couple of the complaints I've seen online. First, that the interior is cramped. Based on my experience it's no more cramped than other sports cars I've owned and driven. In fact it feels more spacious than the 2017 C7 Grand Sport I also own. The Vette has more/better tech. Technology is the one area I think the Jag is lacking. The trunk space is very limited but it's a sports car. I've seen online comments that if your bag is bigger than a loaf of bread it won't fit. Not true. You can fit a couple of overnight bags in the trunk of my convertible. A word about the exhaust sound. It seems everyone loves the extra loud exhaust. I do to...sometimes. The good news is that you can have it both ways. In "normal" mode it just has a nice growl and is actually rather quiet. But put it in dynamic mode and it has a completely different personality. I really like the fact you can have it both ways. Quiet or loud, beauty or beast, at least on the 2018. The only piece of the puzzle missing at this point is reliability. If it proves to be reliable I'll have no regrets. Time will tell.

In 2002 they sold over MSRP adjusted for inflation @$54K in todays money- pricier than the 2002 Corvette and sold like 30,000 that year. I think that new car buyer had to probably be searching for the 1955 Thunderbird experience to shell out that kind of cash, and most people born on the 60’s and 70’s just didn’t understand that appeal. Oddly, the demographic that did BABIED their cars, kept up maintenance, have all the original tools and covers (just try and find that T-handle wrench for the hard top for example) when you get lucky enough to get a shot at buying one of these babies cars you’ll find they’re sharp and quick, amazingly so despite what people someone lent one to to write about said 20 years ago. Shod with 17inch tires 🛞 and solid suspension, people can complain about the horsepower being light, but stomp it and it will jump, zoom and weave solidly with the best of them. My drive home from buying this car was a blast. Will other sports models eke out slightly better speed, power and performance over these 20 year old T-birds? Sure, why not. Does it matter if you’re not at Road Atlanta? No. For me, this a sleeper sports car that’s about to bust onto the scene and see its reputation finally living up to the 2002 Car of the Year Award Motor Trend gave it. I think you need to find one of these babied sweethearts like I did. It’s a blast to find a good one and discover what an under rated blast it is to drive. Can’t really call it super nimble, but I respect mines solid ride and reasonably quick response & rocket like performance. The incredibly clean lines scream style visually and I suggest that a 2 tone leather optional interior is worth an extra $1K (over the basic. $11-12 K value) a hard top/rack/tonneau cover intact is worth another grand. ($13-14K total seems fair generally for a babied one). Check the rubber suspension parts underneath (inside the front wheel well behind the tire) is the easiest one to check quickly for rot w/o getting under the rear).

After my 2023 Lightning (purchased from Fair Oaks) was totaled in an accident, I sent requests to 5 local dealers for bids on last and final price on 8 trucks. I wanted to be able to walk in, write a check (100% cash sale, no trade) for the bid price, no negotiations or up selling. If would happen, I was going to walk out. Fair Oaks was the only dealer that respected my request, others either got into process to ask for me to come in for price, tried calling etc. I was glad they did as I was extremely satisfied with experience with prior purchase. Abraham took lead and completed the task, I walked in, took the truck for a spin around the block and he had all the paperwork to sign off accepting the offer. Terrence in finance (who I worked with on prior purchase) was able to transfer my extended warranty over, no up selling, presented all paperwork to sign, I wrote the check and out the door.

A beautiful automobile gift from my beautiful wife on 6/2/23. I’ve been searching for a tbird and a friend told me to call and see if this guy was willing to sell one of 3 Tbirds he had. Little did I know in a few hours I’d be the new owner of Dale Jarrett’s personal Tbird with only 6,842 miles on it. His signature is on the dash and also his personal leather racing jacket signed. Needless to say it handles like new and has new car smell. We drove it from Charlotte NC to Charleston SC and couldn’t believe how it performed handled and rode. It’s definitely an eye catcher. The hardtop was easy to remove with 2 people. It would have been nice if it would have been designed to retract into the trunk. But mine came with hoist to attach to garage ceiling which made it very easy. I’m 100% satisfied and happy with my new Tbird.

Great car for Florida. Not just a solid built Hard Top Convertible but has a large Sun Roof as well for the "cooler" open air weather. Good economy although it requires 92 octane fuel for the peppy 2 liter turbo charged screamer under the hood. Executive model has everything. Leather heated power steering for driver and passenger, Rain sensing windshield, Auto sensing headlights, Dual climate control, LED lighting, Self dimming mirrors, Folding exterior mirrors, 9" Android touch stereo system with navigation, Pushbutton start and more...

What an amazing time I had buying my first car! I believed that my time with Michael Darge was going to be hectic, but it ended up being the most relaxed and educational period of my life. My compliant is the dashboard. The leather is bubbled and shrunk. Hate to think what a repair/ replacement would cost. Beautiful car, otherwise, 2013 Grand Sport Anniversary model. I understand that other C6 dashboards have had similar problems. The car is parked in a garage so it cannot be blamed for excessive heat or sunlight. Just received a warning for Anti-lock/Active handling/ Traction Control. Probably just a wheel sensor that I will have repaired under extended warranty.

Very accommodating to out-of-town buyers, except pay-in-full is required to hold a vehicle. Need more flexibility on this, like allowing sizable deposit with time limits

Excellent value for the price. Do not purchase this vehicle without the active exhaust option. The fake vents are disappointing but otherwise the car is perfect.

I really like my 2017 mustang Roush, The only complaints are the front bumper clips break easy and most of all the paint is less than paper thin and in 4 years was flaking off around back window it sad such an expensive car. THE BIGGEST THING IS THERE IS NO BLUE BOOK FOR ROUSH.

I just purchased the 2024 rapid red turbo. I love the mode change and it has that great sound as you pull away from others. Great take off and smooth ride. The only negative and it is very slight-- it that it is difficult to change the temp, and my Sirus does not have all features. This is my 4th mustang, with my first being the very small box shape. Every model gets better

I have owned two xlr' s to date and now planning on moving up to the V. Procrastinated several years considering the cost of the higher-octane fuel required by the V. Retired now so don't plan to drive so much, I am going to keep the 2007 limited edition base (250 made) I have now so I can still ride in stile on regular gas. The 2007 has 63K on it I have put brake pads on the front and replaced the AC compressor. You would do that with any car. The top is an engineering marvel. Everyone who has commented on the car thought it was new, OK, maybe not everyone, there are a few who know the car, all are envious. Such a hoot coming out of a store knowing you get to drive off in the best-looking car in the whole parking lot. Fun to drive is a gross understatement. For me, there was no need to put the super charger on this car. At a buck thirty, I got scared of what would happen if I hit a deer, it was still climbing when I backed out of it. I also have the 2002 red with black interior Eldo.

Bought this car after my wife said she missed her old Solara convertible. She loves it. Drives well. Extremely comfortable. Only complaint so far is that the trunk is small—and with the top down it’s almost non-existent. Her golf clubs ride in the front seat. We’ve only had it two weeks, so can’t comment meaningfully on reliability. But she loves it.

Surprisingly an excellent value for sports car. Bought mine used and quality is still intact. The reliability has proven to be very good. A fun DIY car that is easy to work on. Parts are priced reasonably well and readily available. The Mercedes roadability is the true fun factor. Classic Mercedes styling, being a unique hardtop convertible, and name, will win many over now in and in the future.

Great 2-seater, lots of fun with the top down. Surprisingly, has ample storage. Great looking car IMHO. The retractible top is a plus, much better than a canvas top.

On December 10th, 2024, I purchased a red 2015 Corvette Stingray Convertible 3LT from Country Chevrolet in Warrenton, Virginia. I have purchased 26 new and used cars in my life, and I have to say this was by far the best buying experience I have ever had in my life. My first car was a new 1980 Corvette, and I evolved into planning for my last car to be a red corvette convertible. After much research, lots of shopping, and numerous test drives, I found this car listed on-line at Country Chevrolet at a listed price in the range I was looking for. I called and set up a test Drive for the wife and me. We drove up to the dealership and noticed one or two folks outside who immediately said hi, welcomed us to the dealership and went to get the salesman for our test drive. The environment at this dealership was more welcoming than any Chevy dealership I had ever been to. When Kirk Hughes, our sales consultant introduced himself, we could clearly see we had found at great person to work with. Kirk is friendly, professional, and an absolute expert in corvettes and cars in general. Kirk is by far one of the best salesmen I have ever met. I consider myself a car person, as I enjoy buying, selling and talking about cars. I also perform much of the simple maintenance tasks like changing fluids, brakes and normal maintenance items. I bought my 2012 C70 in Platinum trim back in December 2011. I also got the 10 year extended warranty and it had first 5 years of maintenance included. As of May 2024 the car still looks great, runs amazing and should go for at least 100K more miles. I did get the Polestar turn about 2 years ago and have done regular maintenance. Over the first 10 years the car had a few standard issues along with a couple of sensors but nothing major. The extended plan covered everything and All I have had to do is the timing belt and water pump out of pocket. Great hard top convertible that is a keeper...
