I had my 2004 for 10 years. Great car and performance. At 6'2" the C5 provides me with comfort which its predecessors do not. Only issues have been the ignition switch a common problem which I changed out fairly easily, and the climate control lighting which I fixed by resoldering the board.

I just bought a 2000 Jaguar XKR convertible from Larry at Hiline Motors in Sanatoga Pa. I've been looking for one of these cars for a while but realized that many used ones would have various problems which would be expensive to fix. After reading Larry's reviews I was convinced I would get the best car at the best price and not have to worry about dealing with costly problems in the future. Larry was easy to deal with. He and his mechanic fixed all of the common problems that these cars shared. Although I was unsure of buying a car online without seeing it, I would easily recommend him to any of my car-enthusiast friends to make a problem-free purchase.

By far the best Mercedes I have ever owned. I might say the last of the real Mercedes. 2015 SL400 may be the last real Mercedes.

A few concerns to address, the first is ABC active body control is a concern for this car. I own Phone Doctor in Frederick Maryland and hardware tech is my passion so I want to give my feedback. I love the classy lines of the exterior. The interior is equally elegant and tasteful without gaudy disco lights. I was mesmerized into test driving a 2005 SL500 because my daily driver is a 2001 Mercedes s600. The audio system is lackluster, next weakness is the headlights, but the biggest problem is the ABC (active body control) hydraulic suspension. The audio system is disappointing and leaves me feeling flaccid but I’m used to twelve inches of JL systems shimmed into my high school hoopties. The audio system is not the deal-breaker for this $90,000 machine. And the mediocre headlights can be remedied with aftermarket auxiliary lights. The biggest weakness is the high performance suspension system. Mercedes likes to call it ABC (active body control). The hydraulic pump, seals, and mechanical moving parts gets weak and loses its performance anywhere between 80,000 to 150,000 miles. It’ll cost just as much to replace the ABC system than it does to purchase your 2nd hand sl500. If you’re in the market for one make sure you have an extra $20,000 in socked up before you drop your drawers and plop $15k on your first SL500. A dream ride with one last caveat: This car will draw a lot of attention from single ladies!

I am writing ANOTHER review for Trend Auto since I continue to use them for maintenance issues regarding my used Toyota Sienna that I purchased from them years ago. I have had several issues pop up through the years regarding my van and not only have they resolved each and every problem, they did so in a very reasonably priced and expedient manner. Update from Vette Guy of Tucson, Az. I received my replacement Z-06 convertible almost exactly 2 months from the date I ordered it. It arrived exactly as ordered: Mist Red with Natural interior, Z07 Handling Package, Visible Carbon Fiber Big Aero Package, Carbon Fiber Wheels and Racing Seats. I have 800 miles on the car, so far no problems. I plan on racing the car in the September Silver State Challenge Ely, Nv. open road race. I raced the 2023 Z06 there in May, great race try it! I'm also attending the Z06 driving school in Pahrump,Nv. I did the Z51 school last year, highly recommended! Overall a big Thumbs up to Watson Chevrolet for keeping their word on getting me a replacement Z-06!

I have had my '02 base 6 speed manual Carrera Coupe for about 5 years. It was a car I had checked out, but my wife bought for my 50th. I love the car. I do some "spirited drives" with a great group of folks early Sunday mornings (when the back roads are pretty empty). The car is just a blast to drive hard. I have never come close to finding its limits in terms of cornering. It can be driven quite sedately if you keep it under about 4,000 RPMs. Fine around town. Stop and go traffic is obviously a pain with any manual car, but the clutch is a little stiffer than, say, a Honda. Road trips are fine if you can fit, and it's a bit noisy on the highway from tire noise. I was interested in the 911 over a used Cayman (or Miata, etc.) because I can put my kids in the back (they are 4 and 7, and they LOVE pulling "g-forces" The main downside is this is a 22 year old car with a list of things that really need to be replaced. Not because they are broken, but just standard maintenance. I need a transmission rebuild to fix an occasional issue with 2nd gear. Rear main seal. Check the IMS bearing. Water pump. Then the suspension and engine mounts probably need to be gone over. All this is probably $12,000-$15,000. Bottom line, these 996 911s can be had for mid-20's, but it's still a Porsche. You don't get Honda-priced parts when you need to replace something.

As a “boomer” this was my first foray into online car purchase. Being old school I am used to “ kicking the tires”, not possible in this format. The owner, Larry provided a detailed description of the vehicle, which was an accurate portrayal, no “ surprises”. This is my first Porsche and I am hooked. A fabulous convertible that has been an absolute joy to drive and own. I have not had any mechanical issues.

We bought a 2015 VW Golf Sport Wagon (Mk7) from Premier Motor Group in April 2021. We already loved our GTI, so this was an ideal second vehicle. Every aspect of the transaction was a breeze! In April 2021, they didn't yet have their service lift bays. Being a car guy, I had access to a professional lift and the staff had no qualms about us taking the used vehicle for an in-depth exam. The car was very good, so it was an easy choice to buy it. As of 2023, Premier Auto Group now has a brand new set of service bays and a PA inspection station. I visited again June 21st 2023 for a test drive of another vehicle. I communicated I was just doing research. We drove a BMW i3 to check out the ergonomics. There was zero pressure. Fear not the "used car lot vibe"! Take a look at the vehicles on their lot. Proceed without hesitation.

I purchased a 2016 Mercedes SL400. It had approximately 29,000 miles on it (in Sept 2025). The car was in very good condition and met all my expections. Hiline is not the kind of place you can expect to show up at, walk in and close a deal. This is a different kind of purchasing arrangement. Cars are seen by appointment only. It is my experience that Larry provides a very realistic description of his vehicles. The prep time for me to test drive was the better part of 3 weeks. But once the car was ready, it was easy to complete the deal. I drove the car, look ed everything over and we had already agreed on the price, so it made things go smoothly.

Great ride, terrific handling, good power, excellent gas mileage for 400 horsepower, head-turning looks and just smiles when I drive it. Proud to accept trophies at car shows!
