The "used car dealer" method is not one that Alex uses. He won't try to upsell you a car, but he will provide you the facts you require. He responded to texts and phone calls really quickly. The Explorer required a few additional repairs, which Alex and his technician promptly fixed. His willingness to ensure the car was ready for use was really appreciated. There are some unfavorable reviews here, but since we're purchasing secondhand autos, problems are inevitable. Those evaluations shouldn't stop anyone from seeing one of his vehicles and getting to know him in person, in my opinion. Alex was a great experience for me, and I think you will be too.

I bought this car in 2013 with less than 10K miles on it (certified pre-owned at the now closed Volvo dealer in Thousand Oaks, CA). I love this car, but I'm so glad I bought the maintenance contract along with the extended warranty. It has never let me down or had to be towed but it has had more than its fair share of warranty repairs. The suspension had some major issues but that may have been due to the poor quality roads and streets in Los Angeles. I will most likely be driving my C70 Volvo for many more years as I have no intention of ever selling it.

Great car, very fast, smooth, and quiet. Long doors can be hard to get out in a parking lot. The only thing I have a problem with is the electrics, setting the clock time, or resetting mileage. The car's phone is also out of date, and not usable.

There is a reason I keep coming back to these gems. I'm about to purchase my 4th one. I've owned a GS for 10 years and 2 GTs for 7 years. One being a Spyder which I always said was the best car I ever owned. Perfectly balanced, fast, great looks, beatiful paint colors. A blast to drive. The interior lighting and the 650 watt Rockford Fosgate are AMAZING. Everything feels right about the car. And the cost of ownership is great, just basic maintenance. I regretted getting rid of them all (traded 2 for a Vette). After 2 years, I"m going back. Found a Spyder GT in Rave Red and it will arrive soon. I can't wait to drive this gem of a car again!

Mom in law bought new in 2000 our 320 coupe for her husband. We received it as a hand-me-down 11 years ago. It had been perfectly reliable, fun to drive, great mileage in town and out. We have the 500k badge and hope for 1M but the Midwest road salt has given us rust spots. The engine and electrics will far outlast our car’s beautiful but spotted body.

However I have had all the parts likely to cause engine failure replaced with the newest parts designed thereby making this one highly reliable. In 2002 they sold over MSRP adjusted for inflation @$54K in todays money- pricier than the 2002 Corvette and sold like 30,000 that year. I think that new car buyer had to probably be searching for the 1955 Thunderbird experience to shell out that kind of cash, and most people born on the 60’s and 70’s just didn’t understand that appeal. Oddly, the demographic that did BABIED their cars, kept up maintenance, have all the original tools and covers (just try and find that T-handle wrench for the hard top for example) when you get lucky enough to get a shot at buying one of these babies cars you’ll find they’re sharp and quick, amazingly so despite what people someone lent one to to write about said 20 years ago. Shod with 17inch tires 🛞 and solid suspension, people can complain about the horsepower being light, but stomp it and it will jump, zoom and weave solidly with the best of them. My drive home from buying this car was a blast. Will other sports models eke out slightly better speed, power and performance over these 20 year old T-birds? Sure, why not. Does it matter if you’re not at Road Atlanta? No. For me, this a sleeper sports car that’s about to bust onto the scene and see its reputation finally living up to the 2002 Car of the Year Award Motor Trend gave it. I think you need to find one of these babied sweethearts like I did. It’s a blast to find a good one and discover what an under rated blast it is to drive. Can’t really call it super nimble, but I respect mines solid ride and reasonably quick response & rocket like performance. The incredibly clean lines scream style visually and I suggest that a 2 tone leather optional interior is worth an extra $1K (over the basic. $11-12 K value) a hard top/rack/tonneau cover intact is worth another grand. ($13-14K total seems fair generally for a babied one). Check the rubber suspension parts underneath (inside the front wheel well behind the tire) is the easiest one to check quickly for rot w/o getting under the rear).

The VW Eos 2.0T has really impressed me (62 yo retired). It is not the most eye catching of the 75 cars and trucks that I have owned. However It truly stands out for quality of construction, comfortable ride, performance and advanced technology and engineering. This is my 4th convertible (Mazda Miata, Ford Mustang, Fiat X19) and the Eos no doubt better than any of the rest. Great gas millage with V8 performance in a 4 cylinder Turbo.

I recently purchased a 2004 Saab 9 3 Arc convertible. I knew very little about Saabs but they always intrigued me. I've only had it for a few days but I am very impressed with its overall quality, comfort and performance. Saab stopped making cars in 2012 because they could not compete with their Audi and Mercedes target market. Having owned both of those German brands, I think Saab approaches them in quality. Test drive one, I think you'll enjoy it.

I've had my 2005 Solara convertible Cosmic Blue SLE for about 7 months and I have loved every second of it. I have enjoyed bringing it back to life. I love it! I get a lot of compliments on it. Great car so far and I cant wait to drive it for many more years to come.

I got a 2013 Abarth as my first car at 18 years old. I drove it for 8 years until it was finally killed by a deer with over 223,000 miles on it and it was still going strong. It was always reliable and so much fun to drive. I drove it like any 18 year old kid would and it had no complaints. It made long commutes tolerable. It is also shockingly good in the snow. I only ever did routine maintenance to it and that’s all it needed. There were couple small things that started to go bad on it, such as the passenger window regulator, but nothing major ever broke. I would highly recommend this car to anyone who’s considering getting one. I would happily buy another one.

Only required regular maintenance. Never broke down. Drove from 20k miles to 190k miles. Took long trips in it. Very smooth on road. Has power and excellent steering. Hold the road. the vehicle is hard to drive in snow and rain. It sits very low to ground so must be careful.

I’ve really enjoyed this car. A sold build, great performance and reliable. I usually prefer a manual transmission, but the automatic clutch transmission does a great job at giving the feel of a manual, I don’t even feel the need to play with the paddle shift as often. The AWD great, rear carve is surprisingly capable. The only complaint would be continued travels on rough roads, not fair to this type of car.

So I owned my 2007 Miata for one year and two months until someone hit it when it was parked, and it got totaled. I bought it for $7000 and it had 213000 miles on it. The first year I spent around $1500 on repairs, maybe this number is so high because I wanted to take care of it well and others don't care to repair something immediately when it needs to be repaired. I also did all repairs with my dad so labor costs were not an issue. I talked to many friends who have cars like mustangs, enclaves and maximas and they pretty much all spent under 1,000 on repairs in the first year (they spent an average of like 400-500). Their cars ranged in years and miles. I assume the high milage on this car made the more frequent repairs needed. Anyway I loved this car gas milage was good and there was a few leaks like the rear brake light needed new gaskets under it. Great car but I feel like I was cheated a bit.

This is my second Volvo C70, the last one I bought is the T5 Polestar Engineered with only 35.000 miles on the counter. The first C70 I swapped with my Mustang convertible. This is the best car I have ever driven! Every time we go to France the holiday starts with the beginning of the journey! It drives smooth, not the fastest car but just enough and it cruises likes it's made for it!

I had mine for a long time, bought used as my first car, survived getting hit on the rear end, was simple enough for me and my dad to repair the few problems that popped up (at 164,000 miles) and kept going strong for me for 7 years until another accident got her totaled. I was perfectly safe from the accident, and the years I was driving it, it preformed fantastically. I see a lot of people complain about how it drives, and I will admit at first it was weird, but it really just takes you learning it. The shifts aren't random they're at specific speeds, and frankly if the shifting creates a problem you're either driving poorly or you have a mechanical problem. As long as you slowly go on the gas instead of suddenly slamming the pedal down the shifting is graceful. The issue I see some people mention about it feeling bad to control at highway speeds, I have not encountered. I drove 70mph highways 5+ times a week for years and never had a problem, did 85mph highways sometimes and still no problems. It has way enough room, I regularly had a 6'4" guy in the passenger and he was fine, I've had an almost 7 foot guy in the passenger and he admitted he was more comfortable in the Smart than any SUVs or Sedans he had been in. I'm a pretty small person so of course it's perfect for me, the turn radius and being able to park in essentially any space I want is amazing, the back actually has a lot of room and if you don't have a passenger you can extend it even more- I helped someone move with my Smart and while we didn't try furniture since we had a truck for that, it took 2 extra large boxes, a slew of plants, like 6 smaller boxes to fill gaps, 4 bags of vacuum packed linens, plus a decent amount of loose articles and knickknacks settled around, and it technically could have still held more. Absolutely fantastic car.

This is a perfect car for California, especially now in needing to get out to feel free. Nothing is better than driving the coast with the top down. This Quattro is in excellent condition driven by my wife who took great care of the care.
