I’m trying to reserve mileage because the car already has high mileage but already put around 2000 miles on it and the car runs like a charm with no problems.

My 2011 328i has just reached 223k miles. No timing chain replacement. Only oil changes and coolant flushes. Obviously break pads and rotors. It’s been amazing. Fun to drive although I get 22mpg average. As Long as you don’t touch it and don’t drive it like you stole it, you can count on it.

This was my first Audi and it has been a reliable, well built car in the 11 years I have owned it. It has an eye catching design and with the 3.2 liter engine, it is very fast and holds the road well. Also, Audi designed a "rumble" to the exhaust system which adds to the experience. I also like driving it in "sport" mode which means the engine goes to higher rpm's before shifting.

When on the lookout for a 1986-1987 xj6, I came across 2004 xk8 convertible, black on black 55k miles, rust-proofed, from Florida. Selling for $10k, the price was competitive w/the older xj6, but newer. (That’s good & bad.) I bought for $9k! + $1,100 enclosed shipping (@2700 mi.) The looks hints at Maserati, BMW, other Brit autos. The GOOD: Engine Performance, Speed, smooth, tight, true pin point, handling, has the looks, comfortable ride, LOVES going 90 mph on highway, no gasket or other leaks. The BAD: ‘O2 sensors’, other sensors (engine coolant sensor, engine sensor) Seems there’s always a bad sensor turning up, cd player in trunk not working, parts usually expense - ONE 10” alum. tube to a/c $235 new. Conv. Roof & rear windows not operating (cleaning contacts under the roof operation button under J-Gate fixed that. Soda, dirt, dust gets in from the shift slots.) Two mechanics couldn't figure it out. An Auto/boat Upholstery shop cured the riddle.), a/c quit at 60k mi., repaid will run @ total $900 four parts, 4 hrs. labor, Freon. Waiting for parts to arrive, I took a quick 1.5 hr. jaunt to the Poconos to see a couple bands, Fri. & Sat. No a/c in June, I lowered the windows, all was well, arrive at hotel, go to put up windows, I was dismayed rear windows were still down… and STILL down tight now. This is the 2nd time in 3 yrs. this occurred. I don’t drive the car that much, no winters. So, reoccurring bad O2 /sensors, rear windows again, a/c problems is said to be normal. The xk8 uses a LOT of battery. It has a large battery. Ez for one to die, $160 new. I love the car, but if another repair comes SOON, I may have to let her go. (I NEVER had these episodes, problems with the ‘86 xj6.)

It didnt pass inspection here due to the car having modifications. I have notified Prime. I am waiting to see how this plays out.

I know why, design, engineering, fun, performance, reliabilty, every adjective you can tell how great a roadster is doesn't describe how you feel when you drive this car. I got my solstice for only $5000 with 36000 original miles on it. Checked car fax and it had oil change less than every 1000 miles by one owner and was barely driven by most owners. I’m the 6 th owner. This car is prestine. I could sell it amd make $8000. But I love it too much to do that. It looks more expensive than it was. It handles and goes around corners like no other. I don’t think it’s possible to roll this car. I do not have a turbo in it, I would just get in trouble. 170 hp 5 speed manual id fine for me. The miles will stay low because I live in tahoe and it’s got to be stored for the winter months. This car turns heads. Downside, if I have a passenger, there’s absolutely no room for anything. It’s not a car I would take on a long road trip unless you were alone. I drive it nice so far just because it’s in such excellent shape. The weight capacity on it is under 400 lbs. so if you’re a big person with a big spouse, the car wouldn’t be practical. I’m 110 lbs and my boyfriend is 200 lbs and that’s about the max load... especially if he has groceries piled on him. Definitely not built for a wider person. If you’re tall the car does have ample leg room and height with the top up. I call it my fun weekend car. That’s what it’s for, for a nice drive on Sunday or to go out and have a showy car on a Friday and Saturday night, maybe a solo shopping trip too. It’s definitely a fiat weather car with the rear wheel drive as well.

Generally people start out by saying they are expensive to maintain, just don't go to the dealership. In every City there is someone who specializes in BMW older models. 2500 miles is oil change time, not 5000 miles like dealership will tell you. I strongly believe the reason they tell you that is something will go wrong and you will be right back in there to fix a $3000 repair that normally would cost you $75 elsewhere, As this happened to me. At 100,000 miles, whether it needs it or not, REPLACE "VISA VALVE". This part sits on the side of the motor right at the oil stick. There's a light rattle sometimes when I start the car, then goes away. When it got bad enough, check engine light came on, it stopped in its tracks. It took my son one minute to take off 3 screws and replace. The part was $59.00 on Amazon! Dealership wanted $500 for the part and $300 to put it on. Car is good as new.
