I have a premium Yellow 2015 GT convertible. Black interior (not charcoal gray) with a Black top. This car has the 6-speed automatic and therefore, it does not constantly shift up/down like the newer (lousy) 9-10 speeds. Mine includes the Ford Performance PowerPac 2 with RTR axle backs. With only 19,000 actual miles, this car looks, sounds and performs excellent. Would not sell it for any Corvette (have had 3 of them) nor any other Convertible with a 9-10 speed auto. Nope - This car is too nice to part with…

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED my 2003 Canary Yellow Ford Thunderbird!!! Believe me when I tell you that when it came to performance, style and comfort - I couldn't have made a better choice in a Roadster! I was 50 years old when I purchased my 17k miles beauty and sold it 16 years later..after clocking a total of 256k miles. What else can I say? I've only owned my XK8 for six months, so I cannot speak to my own long-term experience, but I researched and followed these cars for four years before buying one. It's one of those cars you buy because you want one--bad. Jaguars, at their best, appeal to your heart. That doesn't mean you have to turn off your brain, though. I can say that my car was well-designed and well-built. It feels solid and tight and built to a high standard. I've owned mostly Japanese cars--Hondas, Acuras, and a Lexus, which I still own. These are not true sports cars; they are luxury GTs. That's important to note. I had a Honda S2000 before this--totally different animal. The X100 (XK8 and XKR, 1996--2006) is a heavy car--almost two tons, so even with a V8 under the bonnet, they aren't "fast" by today's measure. (The supercharged XKR is the way to go for those looking for more of that kind of thrill.) I gave my car a 5 for performance because to me it perfectly fits the bill for what it is. It's composed, quiet, and handling is capable, not corner-carving. The steering is precise but light. It does not wander on-center. The car is gorgeous inside and out, and the interior is bordering on sumptuous. The seats are the most comfortable and supportive for long trips I've ever owned, and I've had some nice cars. Mine is a Victory Edition final-year model, with the "soft-grain" leather interior. This leather is soft and supple but it wears really well. My interior looks new and my car has 52K on it. As for reconditioning and upkeep: these cars are all 20--30 years old. They will need this and that. Buy in the best condition you can find and you'll come out ahead financially over buying one that needs work. (Unless of course you're a skilled DIY.)

I just bought this Coupe with 60,000 miles on the clock. The vehicle had been in a minor accident, but is still in decent condition. He runs like a stallion! I plan on changing out the transmission filter/fluid to keep the transmission shifting smoothly. (I am currently replacing the valve chains/tensioners on April 2nd, 2024). I'll keep working on the interior and plan on replacing the old headlamps with LED units. I also plan on removing (and selling) the rear seats, replacing them with slide bars for extra luggage room. This really is a two-seat, Grand Touring automobile, not a Sports Coupe. Since I have no family (and never will) the XK8 will allow me to travel at 1000+ mile stretches in comfort. The style is impeccable and the engine's smooth performance is pulse-quickening. Since I live in Northwestern Oregon, the convertible wasn't a practical option, so I sought out a Coupe. (I'm happy that I did). Put your money into restoring one of these Grand Touring machines. You'll gain more attention than the Corvette, Mercedes, Audi, Nissan and Porsche owners and you'll enjoy the ride. Come on. You know that you really want one, or you wouldn't be reading this.

comfortable and quick, what a fun head turning car to drive. We cleaned up a bit from previous owners add ons and haven't been disappointed with the power , love the unique sound and air thru the hair with top down.

Best covertible under $30k used. Italian styling/handling and Japanese reliability. What a car. As a previous 911 and SL 300 owner, I prefer this as a toy without the expensive repairs. All parts are Japanese and repairs are minimum. Best KEPT secret, buy a classic car, and enjoy for years! Handling is insane! Not a daily driver!

I have had my '02 base 6 speed manual Carrera Coupe for about 5 years. It was a car I had checked out, but my wife bought for my 50th. I love the car. I do some "spirited drives" with a great group of folks early Sunday mornings (when the back roads are pretty empty). The car is just a blast to drive hard. I have never come close to finding its limits in terms of cornering. It can be driven quite sedately if you keep it under about 4,000 RPMs. Fine around town. Stop and go traffic is obviously a pain with any manual car, but the clutch is a little stiffer than, say, a Honda. Road trips are fine if you can fit, and it's a bit noisy on the highway from tire noise. I was interested in the 911 over a used Cayman (or Miata, etc.) because I can put my kids in the back (they are 4 and 7, and they LOVE pulling "g-forces" The main downside is this is a 22 year old car with a list of things that really need to be replaced. Not because they are broken, but just standard maintenance. I need a transmission rebuild to fix an occasional issue with 2nd gear. Rear main seal. Check the IMS bearing. Water pump. Then the suspension and engine mounts probably need to be gone over. All this is probably $12,000-$15,000. Bottom line, these 996 911s can be had for mid-20's, but it's still a Porsche. You don't get Honda-priced parts when you need to replace something.

Love my car. Esthetically beautiful. Only two thi gs i can complain about-the cup holder design sucks and rims made cheaply chrome plated not chrome rims. Began peeling off immediately. Other than that love my car. Oh and if your expecting superior speed. You'd be disappointed.

I got my solstice for only $5000 with 36000 original miles on it. Checked car fax and it had oil change less than every 1000 miles by one owner and was barely driven by most owners. I’m the 6 th owner. This car is prestine. I could sell it amd make $8000. But I love it too much to do that. It looks more expensive than it was. It handles and goes around corners like no other. I don’t think it’s possible to roll this car. I do not have a turbo in it, I would just get in trouble. 170 hp 5 speed manual id fine for me. The miles will stay low because I live in tahoe and it’s got to be stored for the winter months. This car turns heads. Downside, if I have a passenger, there’s absolutely no room for anything. It’s not a car I would take on a long road trip unless you were alone. I drive it nice so far just because it’s in such excellent shape. The weight capacity on it is under 400 lbs. so if you’re a big person with a big spouse, the car wouldn’t be practical. I’m 110 lbs and my boyfriend is 200 lbs and that’s about the max load... especially if he has groceries piled on him. Definitely not built for a wider person. If you’re tall the car does have ample leg room and height with the top up. I call it my fun weekend car. That’s what it’s for, for a nice drive on Sunday or to go out and have a showy car on a Friday and Saturday night, maybe a solo shopping trip too. It’s definitely a fiat weather car with the rear wheel drive as well.

Quick corvette like turns on this fun sports car. A bit low ride and seems too fast for the size of the car. So advice be careful. But amazing fun time.
