I am truly in love with my car. It has been incredible. Perfection is almost impossible but somehow Porsche did it. I think if you are considering this car just do it.

I was looking for a specific car that was at this CarMax. Problem was that I live in Minnesota, not Chicago and would have to traveling a great distance for a car I had not seen other than in pics, potentially risking wasting a great deal of time and money. I had to trust Jonathan, my salesman, to tell me the condition of the car where the pics could not. He was completely honest and the car was exactly what he said it was. Between Jonathan and Adam, the sales manager i was able to close the deal and drive back to home within an hour. I am completely pleased with the car and 100% satisfied with the dealership. I've dreamed of owning a 911 Turbo since I was in my teens. I'm now 63 years old and don't need to drive 150mph anymore. Last year my wife and I decided to look for a convertible to recapture the days of when we first started dating in 1987 when she had a 1982 Fiat Spyder 2000 convertible. We traded that in 2004 on a BMW 330Xi. We had a pretty sweet deal lined up on a 2008 BMW Z4 until the day before we went to pick it up and found out the dealer sold it from under us. What could have really sucked turned into a golden opportunity: we chanced upon a 2001 Boxster S with 59,000 original miles. We have not regretted the decision one bit. Yes, the ergonomics are somewhat dated compared to today and it's not the latest and greatest technology, but we bought it to drive, not to be distracted with all sorts of gizmos. (I'm employed as a Sales representative at a local Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep Dealer for over 35 years. I'm exposed to all the technology). This little Bavarian bomber is an absolute blast to drive; comfortable, quick, sticks to the road like burnt eggs to a cast iron frying pan, and turns heads everywhere. It's capable of 160+ mph, but the right road at 55 mph brings grins all the time. We just went for a weekend trip with it and had no problem with room for our luggage, a tote bag, and a small soft-sided cooler. And as an added bonus, we took it through the famed Hawk's Nest Highway on Route 97 north of Port Jervis, NY. Wonderful to drive, comfortable even after a couple hours, fuel-efficient (except when I play with the Tiptronic on a twisty road), and so far, dead-bolt reliable. So I didn't get my 911 Turbo; the Boxster S is a more than welcome consolation prize. You owe it to yourself. P.S- My wife drives it more than I do!

I would only recommend this care for those who are willing to work on it and are okay with it breaking down. This care is nearly 40 years old (as of this review) and most of them with low miles sit and when driven the problems begin to bubble to the surface. So if you are unwilling to need to work on it but still want a corvette my suggestion is to get a c6 or newer.

What can you say about any 911? The one I test drove was the S. It’s just the perfect sports car. Light, just enough power to go fast, not overwhelming. Comfortable, quiet, composed at any speed. The soft top is so quiet. Almost like a regular top. With the top down, you can still hold a somewhat normal conversation at highway speeds. Just the perfect car for a cruise or fast run on a sunny day.

The 991.2 Porsche 911 really is the everyday sports car. Not conspicuous but also not mundane. With so many variants available, its hard not to find a 911 that fits YOUR needs and wants. The engine is sublime, the interior is refined and well built, and the cockpit ergonomics are unmatched. After driving a 911 (any variant), any other sub-150K sports car is just Meh. One of the underappreciated aspects of using this car on a daily basis is how easy it is to live with: the outward visibility is excellent, the tech is great, and the car is comfortable on long drives. When looking for your first 911, you should consider with a well-loved 991. I prefer the "Dot 2's" because of the turbo engine and the Apple CarPlay but the 991.1's have a charm of their own and shouldn't be discounted. One of the few drawbacks to any 911 is the road noise...you will have to get used to hearing those big tires hitting the road and if you drive on rough roads the majority of the time you WILL be annoyed (maybe look at a NSX or a C8 instead). Otherwise, you will not regret the ownership experience!

Owned a corvette, a viper, the 911 and the boxster. I’d say the boxster s was a bit more fun to drive, and like both porsches equally for different reasons. Test drove BMWs on multiple occasions, never liked any of them. Test drove a couple of ferraris, a bit too small and expensive. Same for the NSX. Bought it 2 years old and got a great price. The targa 4s that I currently have, has some nice 911 features, including the large retractable roof, and the pop up rear window, for easy access to the back seat.

My 2007 Pontiac Solstice GXP currently is a reliable little sports car with lots of kick in terms of performance, especially considering it’s amazing turbo charger. 260 hp isn’t to bad either. Styling is ever eye catching with its 18 inch tires. It sits low outwardly as well as inwardly as a sports car should. Maintaining its regular maintenance and fluids will provide consistent quality performance. It's fast when you need it to be. The ride is comfortable, and steering is excellent for where you pint it, it will go there with no push back or fuss. Gas relies on premium which is acceptable for quality performance, but there is the base model which takes regular gas if your wallet seeks relief. Its colors are limited, but I suggest a car wrap for uniqueness individuality. Overall, the Solstice is a fun responsive sports car that you can find within your budget and after purchasing it, you can get reasonable affordable auto insurance coverage, especially if your are a Boomer with no tickets or accidents. These cars are approaching rare for you don’t see many on the roads and highways these days. Drop the top on a relatively good weather day and all eyes will be on you!!! MVB

We drove out to London Motors on a Saturday thinking it was closed. The jeep we wanted to see wasn't on the lot so we sent a message to the dealership through Cars.com. Tommy got back to us within minutes despite being closed and set us up with an appointment to see the jeep. We weren't expecting to see or test drive it that day, but that is exactly what happened. I worked with Regis on a 2000 Corvette and can say it was the easiest buying experience. I’d asked to have the front fender alignment looked at and he had it fixed along with a missing trim piece. The car was in excellent shape and all modifications were disclosed. He’s very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Pricing was very fair and I was in and out within a half hour on the day of pick-up. You can tell he genuinely enjoys the work he does and it shows. PASM along with the AWD helps keep this one glued to the road. The 4 is Wider than a 2 the S is not necessary. All season road runner. Top down warm weather, AWD for the rest. 😎

This is the car I always wanted to own since playing the monster arcade hit game N.A.R.C by Williams in 1988. WHY? I fell in love with those two guys jumping out of the red Porsche, but that Porsche itself was the 1988 911 Turbo! (funny, that when you jump out of the car, you can actually blow it up with your rocket launcher, haha!). Anyway, I paid a tremendous amount for this used and it was WORTH every single penny. NO car for the "reasonable price" of $100k I paid comes close in terms of value and styling and handling and raw power (the torque is insane!). Yes I know other cars would have gotten me close and certainly even beyond like a souped up gently used Corvette C7 at that price range but I like small cars and love the styling on the default 911 models, especially the Turbo :) Say no to drugs and yes to Porsche 911 Turbo!
