I purchased this car about 6 years ago (5.0 n/a XK). From a design perspective, it still holds up and looks modern. I actually like the looks of the base models as they don't have all of the side skirts and aero that change the lines of the original design a bit. The front was slightly redesigned in 2012 and looks a little more aggressive. Performance is great, end the sound of the engine when you get on the gas is addictive. Heated/Cooled seats with 16 way adjustments are great. Back seat is good for some soft luggage. I don't put a lot of miles on the car, but besides yearly oil changes my main cost has been tires. The 20" wheels & tires on this car look great... but stay away from potholes if you can. If you can get the car with 19" wheels... do it... they have some more sidewall. I've replaced both front tires due to pothole hits splitting the sidewalls. If you can't get the 19s, get a road hazard plan when you buy tires. The only other complaint is the touch screen. It is very outdated and slow... only saving grace is that it supports usb mp3 playback (no bluetooth music... only calls). There is not a ton of aftermarket add ons for these cars (exhaust and wheels) and if you get into an accident in an old one, don't be surprised if your car gets totaled out for even seemingly minor damage due to the cost of aluminum body repair. I love this car for roadtrips with the wife, and weekend drives... but I have a Subaru for driving the kids and bad weather.

I have a SLK230 since 1999. Drove it from WA state to California on Highway 1 multiple times. I also drive it every weekend for trips to nearby towns and during the week to get a coffee. It is a great little car with a bit odd engine sound, but it has been going on without an issue forever.

On December 10th, 2024, I purchased a red 2015 Corvette Stingray Convertible 3LT from Country Chevrolet in Warrenton, Virginia. I have purchased 26 new and used cars in my life, and I have to say this was by far the best buying experience I have ever had in my life. My first car was a new 1980 Corvette, and I evolved into planning for my last car to be a red corvette convertible. After much research, lots of shopping, and numerous test drives, I found this car listed on-line at Country Chevrolet at a listed price in the range I was looking for. I called and set up a test Drive for the wife and me. We drove up to the dealership and noticed one or two folks outside who immediately said hi, welcomed us to the dealership and went to get the salesman for our test drive. The environment at this dealership was more welcoming than any Chevy dealership I had ever been to. Great place to buy a car I was extremely pleased with the assistance I got from Fahad Dawood at Okaz Motors. I needed a car for my college student and had very specific needs. We had spent all day looking for cars and didn't find any cars that had what we were looking for at the price we wanted. He had just the car we wanted and gave us a decent break on the price so we could afford to buy it. It only came with one key and had a chip in the windshield, and he made us a 2nd key and fixed the chip in the windshield for no extra cost. i bought a 86 pontiac 2+2 . my credit union was not still in my state, so needed a co op credit union . they did not do that amount of money with out signed documents from my home credit union .mgm worked with me to get my payment worked through. it took a couple of weeks . when car got here there was a oversight with a maintenance issue .we talked back and forth we reached a agreement and they helped to fix the problem.in my case everything worked out

My only reasons I sold mine was 1st. The restricted performance mode. No other American made supercharged car has this idiotic and dangerous mode. 2nd. The dealers rip you off for parts purchases. I needed a new engine start button. $210.00? For a plastic button likely made in china for 35c.

I own a 2014 Hyundai Veloster R-Spec. This car worked great for me in college, I maintained the car regularly and never had any engine issues. The car carried everything I needed for groceries and provided a great amount of space in the hatchback for such a small car. The car is fun and has great acceleration. I own the manual version of this car and I have never had any issues with the gears slipping or thumping. The best part of this car is the unique 3 door design that started a lot of cool conversations in college with my friends. It's the best of both worlds allowing people to get in the back without folding the seat down and not compromising in weight or style of this zippy little sports coupe.

I had a c5 Corvette coupe with low miles but I wanted something new(but I didn't want to spend 6 figures) that had relatively good gas mileage, a coupe, with great handling and fun to drive. I got all that plus with the back seat folded down there is plenty of cargo space for the 3 week road trip we are taking this summer. Thanks Romain Subaru for the great buying experience.
