I live my Durango so much it’s super reliable and Idk if mine had something done to it but I go considerably faster than most cars😭

Terrible mpg between 9-14mpg transmission is junk had that rebuilt four wheel drive is great interior is okay not very high quality I have always had great oil pressure in my 5.2 even though some complain that it fails styling is very nice I think with the stock chrome wheels and the black trim on my slt not reliable but a great spare vehicle

Purchased my '17 DD GT with 25k miles on it. Have owned for around 4 years and now have 66k miles. Haven't had any issues. Routine maintenance only. Love the style and comfort. Interior seats are comfortable for long drives. Mine came with lifetime oil changes. Dealer support has been good (although we've only had oil changes so hard to say). I'm hoping this continues.

I’ve got a 2003 SXT with the 4.7 and it’s a great SUV. It burns a little oil if I let it sit and idle for too long, only because the valve stem seals tend to go bad on the SOHC 4.7s at an early mileage. It’s not a hard fix to do, but I think I read somewhere that it can get a little costly due to labor. But otherwise it’s a good truck, I’ve yet to be left stranded on the side of the road for a mechanical failure, and most of the maintenance I’ve done was easily addressed at home with the proper tools.

Been looking for a 2003 Road King for almost a year. Problem in WNY is owners look at the blue book price and tack on 3 or 4 K. Found this bike on dealers web site, and bought sight unseen. Wayne made sure bike was ready for Haul Bikes. Bike arrived and one can tell it received TLC. The experience was excellent, problem free. I actually have 2 Durango's A 2002 5.9L FWD, and a 2003 4.7L 4WD, I love them both, although admittedly I drive the 2003 more often as it gets better milage with the 4.7L. Although the body style is not as flashy as the newer ones, the mechanical workings of the pre 2005 were a LOT more reliable, the 2003 is currently sitting at 197,680 mi (I bought it at around 140,000) and I have only done minimal routine upkeep/maintenance like fluid changes, tires, brakes, etc. The third row seating is nice, mine has the split bench seat in front, and seats 8, or the rear seats both fold down for plenty of cargo room, so taking road trips with or without passengers is no problem. Towing capacity is also better than average for an SUV, and the ride is comfortable. Overall I can't really think of any complaint I have had about this rig since I have had it, other than after 17 years of weather exposure it could do with a fresh coat of paint.

Got this 03 Durango 5.9 engine with 70k on it.It now has 220k .Have had to rebuild tranny and had some front end issues but fir the most part I love love love it

It's got great acceleration, great seating room with 7 seats, it has a huge market of aftermarket parts and upgrades like LED Headlights and Headlight assemblies, it gets about 16 MPG combined 20 Highway and at worst 13-14 City (try not to let it idle), it's the MOST reliable Vehicle my Family has owned and the EASIEST to work on (Thank God), it runs like a dream at 270,000 miles! We've had it for almost 8 years now and it's part of the Family for sure!

Well bought it used 126.000 thousand miles ran like a dream. Now with 153+ the check engine light comes on, traction control,fcw comes on and yes I have had a professional shop do my work now I'm just about ready to burn it. It is the v8 citadel has plenty of power. Oh yeah some time gets hard to start so now back to the shop

I've always liked the way the durango looks, kinda retro masculine look. It's been a great vehicle. I've got 150k, on it. I've upgraded the cooling system and transmission. Other than that, basic maintenance. It's been great. 3rd row, small lift, upgraded headlights, led interior lights, updated stereo. Yes, gas mileage is not good. This should not be a daily driver, more like a backup vehicle, pull a trailer, get stuff from the hardware store, go camping type of ride, then have something smaller and more economical for daily use. Do it that way, and you'll never have a reason to sell it.

Very reliable for a 24 year old SUV. Drive line is flawless, 360 ci, 4x4 with 175,000 miles. Mileage is horrible, but that's expected. Most repairs I'm able to complete myself which are not major, just normal wear and tear. Over the years I've replaced batteries, starter, fan clutch, fuel pump, brakes, tune ups, alternator and water pump. Going into shop for A/C compressor. Can't complain, second compressor in 24 years and living in Florida it's understandable.

Had the Durango in the shop of the water pump, I haven't had to many issues with the vehicle since I purchased it in 2011 brand new. The main problem that I dislike is the transmission of the first year if the third generation, and a few design changes that were made. But the changes in transmission and design weren't that much of a difference to purchase a new one. I really enjoy the Durango.

If you own a Jeep or a Dodge I highly recommend Benfield Auto. They are very knowledgeable, do great work, and still believe in customer service. As long as I have a Dodge or Jeep I will be taking my vehicle to them.

I have had my 2002 SXT Durango for 17 years with 165,00.00 miles on it and this baby is the vehicle I've owned, Living in Colorado you need four wheel drive this Durango is dominator in the snow. it still runs strong and does well at altitude. When the motor goes in it I will just put another motor in it. It's in great shape and I have replaced a lot of things on it, just maintaining.

The biggest thing I got from my experience was the fact there was no pressure to buy. No pressure to hurry up and get off the lot. The test drive was pleasant. We worked with Austin V. He was knowledgeable and was eager to know what we were looking for instead of upselling us into something else. I got my SLT Plus in 2004 at a Dodge Dealer in Jax, Fla! It was a 2002 model with 40,000 miles and was nicely taken care of! I still have it as of July 2022 and have 195,000 miles on it! I have been extremely happy with this vehicle and everything still works great and except for a few performance upgrades (K&N air filter system) custom wheels and such I have taken it on numerous road trips with no problems! I still get compliments on its appearance as most folks can’t believe it’s 20 years old and is not ragged out! I do my maintenance on or before times and don’t see why it will not continue to perform well! If you can find a good used and maintained Durango then buy it! If I ever decide to sale I don’t think people would be disappointed! You can’t say that a lot for most 20 year old SUV”s! I average about 20 mpg between city/highway! With the high cost of new SUV’s and gas prices I don’t think I’ll be getting rid of it any time soon! It’s a Great Vehicle!!👍🇺🇸😊

I was looking for an suv that was 4-wheel-drive AND has side airbags that could handle 3 kids and all of their stuff. We use this daily for our family, take it off road AND tow our boat with it as well. This truck has not disappointed me in any way. It is so amazing and reliable. I am so thankful that I got my Durango!!!

I got my Durango "Sebastian" from its original owner, when it had 130k miles on it. Have traveled fully cross-country (CA to NC) twice since then. Got me thru an F-3 tornado on the return trip! Very reliable. Never had a breakdown. Doesn't leak oil. Easy to upkeep, work on and parts are relatively inexpensive. A simple treatment of Seafoam or Lucas "tuneup" gasoline treatment once every 3 months is amazing! Fuel economy isn't the greatest, but it has the strength and durability of a good farm truck. I typically get 18 mpg hwy (unladen) but 16 FULLY loaded! Very doable. I use it as a commuter, traveler, camper, worktruck, farm vehicle, semi-offroad adventure vehicle. Not the best size or weight for a prolonged adventure, but I believe it does better than most of its similar-sized competitors.

The Durango drive ability is very good, power is very adequate. But the cam shafts developed a ridge which caused a loud ticking noise. They had to be replaced. This was an expensive undertaking. In a low mileage vehicles. Dodge should pay me for my expenses.
