I was looking for an suv that was 4-wheel-drive AND has side airbags that could handle 3 kids and all of their stuff. We use this daily for our family, take it off road AND tow our boat with it as well. This truck has not disappointed me in any way. It is so amazing and reliable. I've always liked the way the durango looks, kinda retro masculine look. It's been a great vehicle. I've got 150k, on it. I've upgraded the cooling system and transmission. Other than that, basic maintenance. It's been great. 3rd row, small lift, upgraded headlights, led interior lights, updated stereo. Yes, gas mileage is not good. This should not be a daily driver, more like a backup vehicle, pull a trailer, get stuff from the hardware store, go camping type of ride, then have something smaller and more economical for daily use. Do it that way, and you'll never have a reason to sell it.

Great service after the sell. The only complaint I have has nothing to do with service, but their bathrooms. There are MANY of us out there with fragrance issues. The air freshener was so strong in the bathroom, I got an immediate migraine. But, they did take great care of my car

I am 56 years old and have purchased 6 brand new cars in my lifetime. I own them from 7-12 years, usually overlapping the ownership as I sell the old one rather than trade it in. I have previously purchased 2 other Dodges, 2 Chevys, a Toyota and Subaru. The 2015 Dodge Durango I currently own is the only vehicle that I have never had an issue with, nothing broken, no engine lights, nothing. I simply kept up with the maintenance. I had planned on replacing the front brake pads at around 60,000 miles and when I took the calipers off, the old pads showed little wear, so I left it. At 9 years of ownership I decided to change the battery even though it was still good. At 130,000 miles I changed the spark plugs and figured I should change the coils while I was at it, again no indication of wear, I just felt it was time. It was at this mileage I finally changed the pads and planned on doing the rotors as well, but the rotors showed little to no wear so I only did the pads. I went to my local Dodge dealer the other day and talked to a salesperson about getting a new Durango, hopefully it will be as good as this one.

I have had my 2002 SXT Durango for 17 years with 165,00.00 miles on it and this baby is the vehicle I've owned, Living in Colorado you need four wheel drive this Durango is dominator in the snow. it still runs strong and does well at altitude. When the motor goes in it I will just put another motor in it. It's in great shape and I have replaced a lot of things on it, just maintaining.

I’ve got a 2003 SXT with the 4.7 and it’s a great SUV. It burns a little oil if I let it sit and idle for too long, only because the valve stem seals tend to go bad on the SOHC 4.7s at an early mileage. It’s not a hard fix to do, but I think I read somewhere that it can get a little costly due to labor. But otherwise it’s a good truck, I’ve yet to be left stranded on the side of the road for a mechanical failure, and most of the maintenance I’ve done was easily addressed at home with the proper tools.

This Durango has served our family well - dependable, comfortable, super ride, easy to drive - and an amazing 3rd row seat when our family grew. Highway miles, trips to the beach, campouts, and easy to load kayaks and paddleboards.

Have not purchased as of yet but they are very fast and acurate with description of vehicles. Bought my new and fully loaded 4 wheel drive 8 cylinder hemi in 2006. It's 2022 and I just brought it in for its FIRST tune up. Granted it only has 64k miles on it, but the only issue I ever had was a break pad and tire change. Today my mechanic replaced all rubber tubes,belts and hoses, new a.t. tires as the ones I had were 9 years old, a tune up, and oil change, It's an eight cylinder 57? Hemi engine. He told me that its like new and should go 300k or more on the engine. I love my durango. It's the second one I've owned.

I put 100,000 miles on this car (117K total). This 6 seater car has given me very little problems. Besides replacing tires and brakes a few times and keeping up on my daily oil changes, the only other problems I’ve had with this car was the replacement of the transmission radiator and radiator. There were also a few recalls on their fuel pump relay switch. Other than that, no engine problems or interior/exterior cosmetics. I highly recommend this vehicle. Especially people with children.

Very reliable for a 24 year old SUV. Drive line is flawless, 360 ci, 4x4 with 175,000 miles. Mileage is horrible, but that's expected. Most repairs I'm able to complete myself which are not major, just normal wear and tear. Over the years I've replaced batteries, starter, fan clutch, fuel pump, brakes, tune ups, alternator and water pump. Going into shop for A/C compressor. Can't complain, second compressor in 24 years and living in Florida it's understandable.

Well bought it used 126.000 thousand miles ran like a dream. Now with 153+ the check engine light comes on, traction control,fcw comes on and yes I have had a professional shop do my work now I'm just about ready to burn it. It is the v8 citadel has plenty of power. Oh yeah some time gets hard to start so now back to the shop

I actually have 2 Durango's A 2002 5.9L FWD, and a 2003 4.7L 4WD, I love them both, although admittedly I drive the 2003 more often as it gets better milage with the 4.7L. Although the body style is not as flashy as the newer ones, the mechanical workings of the pre 2005 were a LOT more reliable, the 2003 is currently sitting at 197,680 mi (I bought it at around 140,000) and I have only done minimal routine upkeep/maintenance like fluid changes, tires, brakes, etc. The third row seating is nice, mine has the split bench seat in front, and seats 8, or the rear seats both fold down for plenty of cargo room, so taking road trips with or without passengers is no problem. Towing capacity is also better than average for an SUV, and the ride is comfortable. Overall I can't really think of any complaint I have had about this rig since I have had it, other than after 17 years of weather exposure it could do with a fresh coat of paint.
