Used Dodge Grand Caravan for sale near Wood River, IL under $40,000

I was just doing some web shopping and Woody's had a vehicle that interested me. They were easy and pleasant to exchange emails.

Just purchased another used Grand Caravan, this is the sixth one over past number of years, found it to be a very reliable and versatile vehicle. Always managed to get 300,000 Klm on each one, never had any major issues other then brakes and normal maintanence . Just purchased 2015 and in excellent condition given the year but is in Limp mode with code P1745 showing on meter. Just hoping it's under a recall , sure would like to get mobile again.

We are from the Fox Valley and have purchased a few vehicles from Wilde in the past and are willing to take the drive because of the excellent experience we receive and this time was no different. Paul Basile met us as soon as we got out of our vehicle (it was Labor day weekend so it was crazy busy) and we are glad he chose us. He was extremely knowledgable on the Ridgelines which was exactly what we came for. He didn’t waste our time, gave us options and got us test driving quickly. I do have a problem with the hood,because I have rust on the edges .I don't think I should have to worry about rust on the xxxx hood.

Not a more useful car ever built. Easily tows a seadoo ski boat, fold the second In third row seats down and this van swallows a 120 in wingspan remote control giant scale stop with biplane on the weekends. It is truly an amazing piece of engineering!

I bought the Crew trim. It is very comfortable inside and from out side it has a sporty look. Toyota Sienna and Honda Odyssey look kind of bulky. I suppose those who complain about Dodge Grand Caravan are looking at the base model which, yes, is not good from inside and it has not changed since I believe 2011. They should at least add a centre console. (I am sure you will increase your fans). But the upper models (SXT and up) are really good.

Best buying experience of my life! Extremely transparent the whole way through. It was also the quickest I’ve ever been able to buy a car. Everyone was so nice! I cannot recommend them enough. If you need to buy a car this is the place to go!

Purchased 2019 Crew Plus with 30k in July 2020. So far only complaint is the clunky UConnect system. Having owned 1988, 1995, 2000, and 2005 model years we have always found Caravans to be sensible, reliable, all round family centric vehicles. Could spend an extra $10k or more for a comparable Odyssey (Primary cars/bikes are Honda’s) or Sienna but personally do not seethe long term benefit. As with all vehicles maintenance is key.

I never thought Dodge built the best van of the century ! It was the most convenient in style and capacity I have even seen the only thing missing is the cruise control ! So far it’s my best caravan it’s sophisticated at first cause I am old school from a dinosaur technological disadvantage era but as times goes on owning it for three weeks it gives me and my dog a haven to transportation for all our summer journey together! I love it better than my old Chrysler minivan!

Only having the vehicle for a few weeks, I can see this will meet my needs. It drives and handles nicely, and has the ability to carry passengers and cargo depending on the occasion. Predominately it will be a cargo carrier for training supplies, so with the 'Stow-n-Go" seating I have plenty of room to haul my training supplies. For a 6 cylinder, it is also getting very good gas mileage (this is very helpful too)!

I bought my 2016 Dodge Grand Caravan used in 2017. I’ve got 130,000 miles on it now and I’m still overall very pleased. This is my 4th Dodge/Chrysler minivan in the last 20+ years. I am kind of tired of driving a minivan but don’t know if I could give them up! This van has so many pros and very few cons. First, price is lower than other makes of minivans. Front and middle rows very comfortable on long trips. Good visibility from front and middle rows. I love that it has 2 separate glove boxes. Tons of cup holders! Adequate cargo area behind 3rd row seats. The stow and go feature is awesome. With second and third row seats folded down and hidden underneath the floor, you’ve got a huge open space to haul stuff. Almost like having a pickup truck except no one asks you to borrow it to move! Lol. It’s easy to get in and out of even if you have mobility problems. Drives and handles well. I don’t think we’ve ever had it in the shop. Never broken down on us. I’ve had this van since 2017 and no problems EVER until this summer. The radio quit working. We replaced it, and after a few weeks, the second one quit. Going to have it looked at soon. Also, the wipers have always worked poorly. Even after replacing them a few times with premium wipers, they still seem to “drag”, and are kind of “bumpy” is the only way I can describe it. My husband has to warn me before he turns them on, because they are so loud at first that they startle me very badly. Very irritating. When there’s a heavy rain they work fairly quietly and smoothly.

I'm 70 yrs old and needed a vehicle to be safe in...I was treated like I mattered and getting my needs was important to them...I am very pleased with the whole experience..

This vehicle has been very good for my wife and myself love the hidden storage compartments. Having only 74000 plus miles on it. It is now getting broken in . However, we got into our car today it would not start. Battery was good. Mechanic I am not. It appears to be a censor. Had to call a tow truck to take my vehicle to a car dealer. Will not know the results until Monday, 13th, 2023

We left our house this morning on a mission to look at 5 dealership with basically the same style trucks and packages, just different add ons or colors. Reineke Ford was the first stop. From the second I hit the lot I had a comfortable feeling. We weren't swamped or ganged up on walking the lot. I walked in and asked for the online sales manager who paired me up with a sales representative named Melissa Kia and I was extremely impressed. Her knowledge of Ford trucks and how to operate all the tech and features was spot on. She answered all my questions and showed me every inch and feature in about 15min and already had it by the front door with a tag on it waiting. Prior to this, I had a lifetime of GMC trucks and a recent past with a couple of Rams. Both brands had failed with either an engine rebuild or a transmission so I was ready for something different. She sold me on the features and had me very interested. After the drive I met JB Brentson to put our deal together. We're both hard working parents but given the past few 10 years or so, we've had some life happens kind of things so we knew it would take some help. When our preferred lender Capitol One refused the offer they told us to make, we decided it was time to leave. JB asked me to trust him and give him a chance. He'd make it work. So we did because I truly felt this was going to be the dealership to make it work. So I abandoned the other choices and after about 20min we were signing the papers and shaking hands. It was absolutely refreshing to actually find a dealership that was there for us. The entire building staff talked to our autistic son and offered our kids drinks and snacks like we were family and I greatly appreciate it. Thank you "Kish" and JB for your support and help! I bought it used in September, 2018, and it already had 45,000 miles. Was concerned that it had such high mileage after only 18 months but it's been great. Can haul stuff w/out worrying about weather, then put up seats for family. Am at 120k miles now and no regrets. Still very impressive looking vehicle, too. Will keep this as long as I can.

I had a rough first experience at Mac Haik Chevrolet’s service department, but Brian Caldwell, the Service Director, completely turned things around. He personally followed up the same day I voiced my concerns, sent a mobile tech to my house to handle the software update, and later arranged for a porter to deliver a loaner and pick up my truck for a roof recall and additional service. They performed every repair as promised—on time—including the roof fix, oil change, tire rotation, and a minor interior issue. Brian kept great communication throughout, even with our busy schedules, and treated my time and situation with real respect. What started as a frustrating experience turned into one of the best service recoveries I’ve ever seen. Huge thanks to Brian, his team, and Mr. Mac Haik. This is how a dealership should be run.

Came in for routine oil change & tire rotation. Not sure my tire pressure was checked, heading back to MI my low tire pressure light came on for front tires. I?ll pop in next time I?m in town to have air put in

I just cannot see the reason not to have the convenience of a minivan .Automatic lockable Sliding doors to keep the kiddies safe and automatic tailgate..Then you get to use it for your trucking needs..where else can a 4x8 sheet and numerous 2x4s and tools all protected from the weather be transported for your home projects..oh and dont forget the fishing poles you have to bend double to fit in the average pickup or suv...its a no brainer...
