I currently own my third Suburban although, it is my first GMC Suburban. It is the SLE trim and has the 5.7L (350 c.i) small block TBI (Throttle Body Injected) V8. The TBI engines are the predecessor of the more potent "Vortec" engines, produced later that same decade. I purchased it a few days ago for $1500 and with 181k miles on the clock it has another 100k to give. It is a two-tone paint (silver sandwiching a dark blue), which i love even more now. Apparently auto manufacturers have forgotten that other paint colors other than white, gray and black actually exist. And I can't think of a single factory two-tone paint job that exists in the last 25 years. It stands out, and I love it. The EL60 transmission was the standard 4 speed (including overdrive) to be mated to the 5.7 engine. It operates flawlessly and this drive train combo gives the driver confidence that he/she won't be left stranded somewhere on a mountain pass. The ONLY thing remotely negative i could say with integrity in tact; is the underwhelming towing capability. Although, I am most likely a very small minority of people that would actually want to tow with an 18', MASSIVE SUV. At 31 years of age, my new-to-me GMC Suburban SLE 1500 4x4 it is impressive that EVERYTHING works. All switches, dials, lights, windshield wipers, wiper fluid pump, etc.... it all functions as intended. I can't think of a vehicle that you get more "bang for your buck" than these OBS (Old Body Style) Suburbans. 10/10 I would recommend. MJ

I bought this car in the 2103 version. It burns or leaks a little oil, but it runs great, has good pickup, a smooth ride, and is fun to drive.

Alright lets be honest, this trucks are good vehicles but dont let them fool you, they can turn into a huge money grave quick if you ignore the issues they can have, they are known to have electrical issues (really easy fix to be honest, splice is under fuse block under hood and all you need is to redo the splice), transmissions, they arent the greatest thing but taking care of them and not driving like you’re in a 7 sec car will keep it alive for a good while, they ate old trucks lets be real, most of this trucks have been thru xxxx and back already so if you buying one keep in mind this.

Up on colds must keep. Suspension up dated. Besides. The. Dreaded. Gas switch issues. Other then. That put a. Decent. Exhaust system. Got a. Nice. Growl. Run. 65 tires. Good.Hndle. for street. This review is for the 1987 Dodge Shelby Turbo cars, the non turbo cars are similar, but no where near the performance or handling or deluxe options. I owned my Shelby Dodge from 1995 to 1998. I wanted a sporty nice looking economy car to commute 150 miles a day to and from work. My old 1972 Plymouth Road Runner or our Chevy Suburban was killing me on the gas. Overall build quality and paint quality was good to excellent. Car had 30,000 miles on it when I bought it, about 60,000 miles on it when I sold it. No real mechanical issues at all. Just normal maintainance items like oil and filters. Engine was rated at 175 horsepower stock. I did put a Shelby Mopar Performance computer in it and a K&N air filter. That really woke it up, I think it was good for an additional 50 horsepower if I remember correctly, 225 HP with computer and air filter? I took it to drag strip afterwards, I think it was turning about 14.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile at about 96 mph. About the only thing that I didn't like, that was very annoying, was the torque steer under hard acceleration in 1st and second gears (had the 5spd manual transmission), especially after the computer install. But overall a fun car, plus my kids all thought it was just the coolest thing in the world. Was bright red outside, dark grey leather inside with very nice Recaro style fully adjustable bolster seats, very comfortable. Looking back 20 years, would still buy one again. But, finding a mint, low mile (under 30k mile) nowadays would be tough. Time has not been kind to these old turbo 2.2 cars, if I see one for sale nowadays, it's almost always lead a harsh life. But, who knows, if I ran accross a perfect mint one, I would consider buying it to just have a fun cheap collector car I could drive with no regrets. Thanks, JN

Bought this car new, have owned several maximas over years. Never had a problem with them. Fortunately didn't have far to drive to work. Retired in 2019, only have around 82,000 miles on this 2011. Took it twice from Pennsylvania to Colorado, very comfortable to travel in. I recommend this vehicle.

As I read, don't buy unless you can work on it. Plenty of things broke, but the parts are cheap if you can work on it. All four interior door handles broken, but all four replacements were $40, I put them in. Starter motor bad, $160 and very difficult to install, but did it. Exhaust manifold to engine gasket bad. $20 and very difficult to install. Rubber gators over CV joints, cheap, but very hard to install. Advice: watch Youtube video's, take your time, and don't get aggravated, I told you its difficult...Plus all the plastic fasteners and parts are dry and brittle after 17 years.

Love the car. Easy to park. Small back seat. Back seat windows could have more glass. Blocks view. Very driver friendly. Only one arm rest in front- downer.

Now in my 6th year with my 2017 and still like it. My complaints are simple. Needs larger fuel tank, better gas mileage considering its size and engine, would prefer manual transmission, and get rid of the xxxx engine shut off function. Love the size, comfortable, still seems solid. My only repair was replacement of the satnav unit that crapped out.

Got my LR2 with 90,000 miles for $7300 in Washington state , reason I got a decent deal was because the car lot had to replace the rear differential because the gears were grinding , they put a used one from pull and save in it and it sounded fine for a week or so and then the new one started making the same noise , so I get online and start doing some research and I find out thus is a super common problem in specifically the 2008 model, I must have read over 300 reviews on a forum about this problem, for whatever reason Land Rover never recalled the issue, so I ended up getting a brand new rear differential that has been redesigned and upgraded, cost me $1200 and the car lot put it in for me , works amazing now, only other issue I had was the in dash 6 disk cd changer , it would stop playing cds after about 50 seconds , so I ordered a remanufactured cd changer and had the car lot install it and it works great now ($200) SO ! All in all I'm happy with the overall outcome and the LR2 is such a nice vehicle to drive, handles like a dream , goes over bumps and pot holes amazing ! Gas mileage could be better , but all time all wheel drive is what it is , super excited to see how this thing does in the snow !!

I inherited my Dads 1998 chevy silverado z71 v8 4 wheel drive. Completely original no scratches dents or paint fading. It has been garaged all these years with 55,000 original miles. Great truck everything works.

I have enjoyed driving the 2011 Acadia SLT-2 for over 10 years. It is great on the road, especially on long trips, and it's a great vehicle for transporting the grandkids. Our Acadia has been relatively trouble-free. Follow the maintenance schedule and the vehicle will perform admirably for many miles. After 171,000 miles we just upgraded to a 2023 Acadia.

I bought a used 2000 Harley Davidson F-150 with the 5.4 engine. It had 120,000 miles on it when I bought it. I kept it for about 10 years and regrettably sold it . It has over 202,000 miles on it and is still running great! If I ever get the chance I will buy it back. Only did regular maintenance on it.

I use to own a 2003 f150 for 18 years it was great except for fuel milage, when I purchased this truck in 2024 , the rear window leaks but only when it rains hard, overall I refuse to drive any other truck.

absolute soldier in the field, looking for a heffer hauler this sob can handle that extra tongue weight. Super cool supercharger sounds coming from the tranny but I think that was part of the luxury package.

Our Rouge has a sunroof. In Spring pollen collects around sunroof and clogs hoses which causes water to leak onto passenger seat. A LOT of water we have had to get it to nclogged several times It is rather frustrating Is this a recall situation?
