Used Dodge Ram 2500 trucks for sale near Athens, TN

Original car I was purchasing has a "surprise" issue which was not mentioned until after I paid for it and was awaiting delivery. In the end they made it right in every way and went above and beyond to do so. I am 100% satisfied with the ending to the story working with this dealership.

I have 411,988 miles in my 2005 dodge ram Laramie 4x4 6 speed Cummins diesel.. For an 05 it’s unusually loaded… power leather heated seats factory moonroof factory blue tooth navigation … I don’t know of any option not ordered. This truck runs and drives absolutely amazingly. Only second clutch second set of injectors.Original fuel delivery offers no issues … I service myself with only the best OEM or better parts .Custom dual exhaust sounds awesome…Id drive it anywhere anytime.Have 411k in this and 352k on my 2004 Hemi ram…. I call them my Semi and my Hemi…750,000 miles between the 2 and both original drivetrains…. Love it when people say Japanese cars are the best… I say look at my 2 Dodge odometers!!!

Needed a last-minute oil change. The dealership got me in the same day, did the service and I was out in 45 minutes. Excellent support and service!

I bought the 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Mega Cab Diesel Heavy Duty as a dealer demo with 8,000 miles on it. Didn't need a mega cab but needed to replace my 1996 so they offered it to me for a deal I couldn't refuse. I have to say, it's a monster and I love it! Have had minimal issues other than the ECM going out at 110,000 miles and Dodge wouldn't warranty it. It tows anything I hook up to and with diesel prices in CA, I can brag about 17 to 21 mph around town and 27 to 30 on hi ways. Towing can cut mpg in about half, if you get stuck in slow lane up a grade, but still, who can boast about that with 195k miles on it today. I agree with the reviews on parking and turn ratio but I can back it in easier than doing a 3 point pull in at any parking lot. How's that for lady with a big truck!!

Easiest car trade and buying experience ever! Received a very fair trade in value. Everything about the experience was pleasant. Would go back to this dealership if I’m in the market again!

Purchased mine new in September 1999 and I still have it in 2023. Sure things break but I’ve never been stranded and it has been nearly 24 years so I can’t complain. Drawbacks for the model are the plastic used in the dash cracked a few years ago. Other repairs included the computer failing (under warranty many years ago but the mechanical backup got me to the dealership for repairs), my injection pump failed last year along with the replacement fuel pump. I upgraded the steering so it isn’t so sloppy. Oh, the heater core leaks a little but StopLeak fixed that although I may replace the heater core and the dash while I’m at it. I sometimes wonder if the world will run out of petroleum before my truck wears out.

Update – Service Completed on 2/11/26 I wanted to provide an update following my recent service appointment. I scheduled a transmission drain-and-fill for my 2018 Pacifica Hybrid on very short notice and arrived on 2/11/26 at 8:55 AM. The service was completed promptly by 10:30 AM—about 1 hour and 35 minutes. The invoice initially showed $440+, but the advertised $179.95 special was applied, resulting in a final charge of $179.95 plus tax (~$197 total). During the appointment, I explained that I was doing preventive maintenance at relatively low mileage (35k) to ensure the transmission lasts after warranty expiration. I greatly appreciate that Service Director Kevin Tranter and the dealership went the extra mile to honor the advertised price and make me feel valued as a customer. The service advisor, Lillian, also acknowledged that the 2018 Pacifica Hybrid does not require removing the transmission pan and that the filter is not replaceable unless the transmission is removed—correcting the prior misunderstanding that led to inflated initial pricing. While my original concerns about advertising inconsistencies and staff familiarity with model-specific procedures remain valid, I want other customers to know that the dealership truly made an effort to rectify the situation. I would certainly return for future advertised promotions, knowing they will honor the price and provide proper service. Based on this resolution, I am updating my review rating from 1 star to 3–4 stars.

A great work horse, bullet proof Cummins. Only fault rusted rear passenger side fender. Used for business, heavy deliveries. I still wish I had this truck.

Plenty of power and torque. Easy to work on for the DIY guys. Upgades are fairly simple to install and plenty of room under the hood to navigate.

They have the most excellent customer service. Glenn went out of his way to accommodate me and make sure I had my car as soon as possible and then called a few days later to see how things were. Lori was outstanding in finding a loan company for me and was very friendly. I will not shop anywhere else.

I had the pleasure of working with Lee and he helped me find my beautiful 2011 Acura! He was very very polite and was able to work with my budget. I also was able to trade in my Honda pilot which made the price of Acura go down, which was such a blessing. Lee also was able to work with me even though I had a hard time locating my registration papers. They were very flexible on that and quickly found multiple options for me to locate my registration papers again. I was able to take the car home same day, which was a huge blessing! Especially because I’m a caregiver and my clients and I rely on transportation.The staff was amazing very welcoming and I will absolutely be coming back if I ever need another car! Best Truck I ever owned. My 2005 Dodge 2500 5.9L Cummins has been truly tested. I bought this RAM brand new and its first task, after a 1000 mile break in, was to tow my 10,000 lb boat (270 Sea Ray + triple axle trailer) from Portland Oregon to Boston, MA. It was a perfect break in for the new 5.9L Cummins engine. But I don't just tow my boat. I use this truck as a daily driver (60 daily commute) + weekend warrior. On the weekends, we (wife and I) explore New England. I have been 4 wheeling in NH and ME while carrying two kayaks. It's runs great in the snow, mud, rocks and even on snowmobile roads. (That was unintentional - we found ourselves on a snowmobile trail by accident. But the 35 inch wheels got us out with no problem). BTW - I put 35 inch wheels on by only adding a 2.5 in leveler to the front end. No lift needed. Had to replace the transmission at about 125K, but had a local guy put in a bomber transmission. He custom builds transmissions for Truck Pulls. I did learn that Diesel fuel does gel in cold temps. We went skiing in NH and stayed in a hotel. I did not plug in the truck that night, but even if I did, it would not have mattered. It got down to -23F that night and then next morning the fuel in the truck was totally frozen. After working with AAA for an half hour we concluded that the cold temps fully gelled my fuel and while the product (Diesel 911) can de-gel the fuel in the tank, the fuel filer was still fully frozen. Had the truck towed (100 mi) back home. Put it in a garage for 2 days and it started without a problem. Now I treat the fuel whenever the temps drop below 32F. Best truck I have ever owned. They do salt the roads in the winter in New England, so I undercoat the truck with Fluid Film every year to prevent corrosion. I trust this truck will get me anywhere, anytime and in any temps. I plan to keep this truck for the rest of my life. That 5.9L Cummins will likely outlive me.

Im the second owner of a 2006 Ram 3500 5.9 CUMMINS CREW CAB SLT Bighorn SRW. It is a 4x4 with the 8ft. bed. I am currently at 375,083 miles. I can recommend this truck being one of the most solid and dependable trucks I've ever had the privilege of owning. My grandfather purchased this brand new in 2005 and I inherited it in 2017. I put at least 60 miles on it daily. This is on the original block, and has not been overhauled. The transmission however was overhauled at 250,000 miles. The fuel injectors were warrantied at that same service. I have had to obviously do typical wear and tear on the vehicle such as ball joints wheel bearings shocks Etc. However overall I would say the reliability has been outstanding. I would not have a single problem getting in the vehicle and driving across the country right at this moment without a single concern for reliability .

It’s been a really great truck and I hate to let it go. It has plenty of power for anything you may need. It pulls a trailer very well.

Loved this truck. Just needed something that had more creature comforts. Used it to tow a large 5th wheel. It worked really well with no struggle.

Bought the truck for the 5.9 Cummins motor and its sound. I am very pleased with the truck. bought a 2007 with 93K miles on it in 2021, body was mint, Florida truck, no rust. I am pleased with it so far, only minor issues and ones I can repair in my home garage.

This Truck has all the tools one could want and more. Was amazed how easy it towed 3,000 pounds of rocks, like it wasn't there!

Great truck runs good drives good very solid did everything ive asked of it with no major problems tows great. The front has a lot of space the back seats are a little cramped for tall people. Has a little bit of a rougher ride because of the straight axle under the front but nothing i wasn't used to already. These cummins motors run great unfortunately dodge has to put smog on them if you where in a state that does have smog i would take all that off the truck will run smoother last longer and have more power and economy they have problems and clog up if the truck doesn't do a lot of highway miles. The only real problem ive had with the truck is the front end the tie rods and ball joints are weak from the factory mine wore out ive sense replaced them with aftermarket upgraded version so i wont have to do for long time again. Overall very good and dependable truck.

This truck met all of my needs especially for hauling my 24' RV Trailer. It is ;heavy duty and has more power than we need, to do all that we want to do.

Best truck out there hands down. Tons of power and looks great. I only get great complements on this truck. Nothing beats a Dodge Ram with a Cummins.

04, 5.7 litre gas engine with regular maintenance 332000 miles and still going strong.......kinda speaks for itself. I use the truck for a work truck as well as for commuting . Like it so well I just purchased another with same specs and the same year only in rwd instead of fwd for hauling a fifth wheel.

I have owned my 06 Megacab since October of 05. I purchased it with 3 miles on it and it now has 522k! There has been some repairs but still well worth the investment.
