Used Dodge Ram 3500 trucks for sale near Phoenix, AZ under $20,000

Had a very good experience turning in my 2023 Silverado 1500 lease and leasing my new 2025 Silverado1500. This is a dealer I realy trust.

Mine is a big black Ram 3500 2WD hemi engine, purchased new in 2003. Only two mechanical problems since I bouight it: (1) right front wheel bearing failure at only 20,000 miles and (2) partial wiring harness replacement around 115,000 miles. This truck is a real beast of burden. My long bed is rated at 4,900 lbs carrying capacity, but I have over-loaded it to at l3ast 6,000 lbs with no negative results, Pulling capacity also I have overloaded up to 25,000 lbs with no negative results. Under load like this, it rides even smoother and does not seem to notice the loads of granite monuments we hauled in it. The truck is as comfortable as an automobile--smooth, right-on steering, and great acceleration. At 160,000 miles, I like the truck so much that I am paying a body shop to renovate it with all new fenders, hood, and tailgate, total new paint job, new wheel covers to make it look like new since it still drives like new. $15,000 may seem excessive to some, but when you figure that this same truck new today is around $85,000, it makes sense to me, especially since I prefer older technology over the new digitalized electronics on new vehicles. We change oil every 3,000 miles and change all the filters every time. The engine still runs like new. One problem with this model is the dashboard. The thick plastic used for the dashboard began cracking at around three years, and continued until the upper portion of the dashboard was totally in pieces. Dodge refused to stand by this obvious defect, and wanted over $2,000 to make it right. However, for a few hundred dollars, my body shop has found a hard plastic (hopefully good plastic) cover that is supposed to look like new. Toyota always stands by any such defects, so U.S. companies have lots to learn about satisfying customers in taking care of their own obvious mistakes. The other problem is that the clearcoat over the black paint job has oxidized and turned white as seems to happen with lots of older U.S. cars--why I have no idea. Dodge and just about all the U.S. car companies need to find out how Toyota paints cars so the paint job lasts for the lifetime of the card. Drive through any large shopping center parking lot and notice which cars are showing faded paint, and you will see what I mean. So, final verdict--great vehicle backed up by cheap and uncaring customer service. I would not go near a Dodge dealership after buying one of the best trucks on the market!

The service was good, took a little longer as anticipated and the estimate was lower compared to what I had to pay. But overall I will go back.

Best diesel built. Cummins dependable, easily upgraded. Large, comfortable 4 door cab, console folds to seat 3 in front and back. Lots of storage. Great pulling (3.73 gear) and fuel mileage ( up to 20 mpg) cruising. Typically run 400,000 miles with reg. maintenance.

My 2005 3500 has 466,000 miles with zero warning lights and has no signs of giving up anytime soon, fuel filter and oil changes are its lifeblood and this truck was meant to last

I have several vehicles including a 911 Cab, new Volvo S90 and Infiniti Q60 but I look forward to driving my Ram 3500 the most. I bought it to tow a 38 foot boat a couple of times a year but have ended up using it for so much more, its 8' bed and huge interior provide a load of room for whatever you need to move from furniture to hay and straw for our horses. Also love how freakin huge it is. :-) takes up the whole lane

Will pull most anything you need it to, while getting 20-24 mpg. Simple and solid, 5.9 is a 500k motor. My one regret......waiting 15 years to buy one..

Bought used Ford F350 from Dupratt in Vacaville. Great communication, responded in a timely manner to email and texts. Vehicle had some blemishes as described in the Carfax they supplied but an independent pre purchase inspection (Thank you 707 Diesel!) found it to be just as described, nothing more. After I test drove this truck, I told my wife it looked and drove like a brand-new vehicle. Despite being 14 years old, with two previous owners, the truck's leather seats showed only a couple of small scuffs. The carpet showed no signs of wear. The exterior, a beautiful silver, still shone and had only two very small chips in the paint. A beautiful truck indeed! As to practicality, I should note that we bought this diesel one-ton to tow a 40-foot fifth-wheel RV. The Cummins 5.9L engine clearly will get the job done. Without a tow load, it's averaging 25 miles per gallon on the highway! We made our decision to buy so quickly that we didn't discover some of the truck's many features until we got it home! It came with a bedliner and a locking tonneau cover. The tailgate locks too. It has a factory-installed engine block heater and dual batteries. A crew cab, it has four doors. Both side mirrors are heated, and they fold out for extended viewing when towing. The tires are brand-new. The interior boasts a Kenwood CD player and radio, Infiniti speakers, leather-wrapped tilt wheel with cruise control, heated front seats, separate heat/AC controls for each side of the vehicle, a center console with two large storage bins, height-adjustable brake and gas pedals, sturdy fold-out cup holders in front and back, back-up camera with in-dash screen, storage pockets on each door, power seats in the front, a sliding rear window, and tinted windows.

Used this pickup to tow our 5th wheel all over the United States. very solid an d dependable with great fuel economy. After 233,000 miles the motor was still strong with no issues. unfortunately the Dodge around it started falling apart. Little things here and there started failing. Because we fulltime RV we needed peace of mind that a bearing was not going to fail and leave us on the side of the road.... so we traded it in on a new 2018 3500.

Honestly one of the most useful vehicles i’ve ever owned, very reliable especially for the Northeast Winter. You totally get all the bang for your buck here and it’s hard to find anything bad to say about this vehicle.

I have owned this vehicle since day 1. It's primary purpose was to haul our #5000 slide in camper. It has done the job well and given us many carefree miles with trips down and up the west coast and clear across the country to our new home. Did have to upgrade the automatic transmission after a trip down Hwy 1 PCH. Too many hairpin turns hauling very heavy. Otherwise just normal maintenance.

At first I was only looking for a truck that could tow, which this truck definitely can, and it feels as if it's not pulling anything. In fact, it's difficult not to speed because the ride is so smooth. But I also ended up absolutely pleased with the quad cab, 4 full doors and plenty of legroom for the 2nd row of seats, along with the seats being very comfortable. With a tank that big, gas lasts a while, and although the truck is huge, it doesn't take long to get used to and really like. My advice is to think long-term because it's a personal investment, since vehicles don't typically appreciate in value. Make sure this is truly what you and your family needs.

This is a Ram 3500 HD - a big diesel dually that can tow the big 5th wheel behind it - with power to spare. I bought it used from Junction Auto - a bunch of straight dealing folks! And nice and easy to deal with. The truck has done everything I have asked of it and beyond. The next test is to tow the 5th wheel from Ohio down to Myrtle Beach (through the mountains in Virginia). I do not believe it's going to be an issue.
